It took me ages for Mr.Brain to stop caring.
New theme music also a boxIt might be easier for Rick to cure a death he caused with the express purpose of making it reversible, as opposed to homeless Santa theme park man who died from numerous long-term illnesses.
I sort of assumed Jerry was being put through and brought back from a near-death experience but not actually dead. Either way though, Rick constantly tinkers with and improves stuff (heck, he brought back a better version of Project Phoenix this episode), so it’s entirely possible he can do that now.
The new voices were a little distracting before, but I’m used to it now. Kudos to Ian Cardoni for his voice work in Unrickmorten, btw.

Right. Anybody can be replaced was the intent behind what I was writing.
But what I meant to say is "nobody should think they can't be replaced.
Roiland got a big head, thought he was too big to fall, and then promptly fell.
I admit I messed that up. But I won't edit it. It stays as a reminder to not write stupid stuff.
I will then probably completely forget about it in a day and a half.

One Strip! One Strip!Honestly Rick's tech seems to silently evolve over the seasons. Also back in season 1 he and Summer had to hit the gym to bulk up and beat up the Devil. Now his body seems to be comprised mostly of cyborg implants making him a one-man army whenever it's funniest for him to be and simply give Summer an attribute slider.
So yeah I think it's safe to say sometime after season 1 Rick figured out how to cure death. Hell, Jerry was once killed worse than this and brought back at that space hospital.
I have to say that the new voices are really good. There's of course little nuances and moments they slip a bit (usually when they're yelling), but if you told me that Justin's voice was just getting a bit more worn down, I'd believe you.
And I'm someone who's usually super anal retentive about voice changes and how they replicate the performance.
I really respect you Handsome Rob, you are great. And Rick's seiyuu is going to be on One Piece!

Incredible.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Goddamnit, Mr. Poopybutthole. Let it go.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique! The best / worst part is that his decline can't really be blamed on Rick and Morty. You could pin some of the blame on Beth for shooting him and Rick for getting him fired from his job as a professor of African American women's Literature, but for the most part Mr. Poopybutthole's problems are his own.
Disgusted, but not surprisedI'll admit, I briefly I thought that somehow, Dianne was going to turn out to be real, and Rick's insistence that she was fake was going to lead to tragedy.
Although at this point any Diannes that appear are gonna hve to be either androids or changelings. From the sound of things Rick Prime didn't leave a single strand of her DNA to work with.
I knew that image in the intro of Beth and Space Beth dancing stupidly was too dumb to be in the actual season. The first two things were the only real ones.
It's rather odd two episodes ago, they had no intro, then last week it was a regular intro and this week it was nothing before the intro.
Caught the finale, really great episode. Between this and That’s Amorte I apparently need to pay attention to when Heather Anne Campbell is writing.

Here's the Inside The Episode, for those who like these snippets:
I was wondering when watching the episode whether that was just what Morty thought Diane was like, but they do seem to say that was actually her personality. Good to know.

I have to say Morty humiliating himself on stage like that just to save Rick is probably one of the bravest things he's ever done.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."The way Rick dismisses it as Morty "hogging the hole" made me chuckle.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!Rewatching that opening scene, I could not help but note just how big their order at Denny’s was. It is a lot of food for two people.
Edit:
I like how the title foreshadowed the twist since it only has Morty's name.

Disgusted, but not surprisedHonestly I thought so too, but lookin again the order was:
- Rick had the lumberjack slam, grand slamwich, slam burger, a milkshake and was going to take some of the tots from Morty's side
- Morty had pancake puppies, the cheddar tots in front of him, and one of the milkshakes
If you're hungry enough.
Akira Toriyama (April 5 1955 - March 1, 2024).I can't help but wonder if this entire episode was built around creating a scenario where Morty would let a spider crawl into his mouth. We've already had an episode where he licks a gorilla's nostrils after all.
Both the new Rick and Morty are pretty indistinguishable from Roiland.
Goes to show nobody can really be replaced.
One Strip! One Strip!
