"I don't need to negotiate." Revolver shot back. "You're gonna tell the cops all about it, whether you tell me or not."

Revolver kept his "gun" pointed at the biker and flipped open his phone with his other hand, dialing the cops. "Afternoon, fellas. I got two guys pinned down here—correction, they're nailed down. Mind sending around a squad car to pick 'em up?" He gave them the address and shut his phone. "Alright, now that the cops are on their way, we got plenty a time to really get cozy here. Might even realize what a good soul you are, how you cooperatively told me who your boss was. It'd get 'em to treat ya real well in prison, hombre."

"Pahahaha, I didn't shut your bikes down dummy! If you didn't see these little guys," Antoinette gestured to her keys, "do it, then it wasn't me. Also, don't threaten me, that's rude of you." She started up on a staircase, as her whip dissolved. "Later, jerks. And remember:" She cupped her hands around her mouth and screamed, "BE QUIET!!!!!"

Josh's grip was forcibly removed from the other biker as the man banked down a side street. It looked like the trucker was gonna have to take care of that one. Josh had his hands full with this guy, who somehow still thought that cursing and struggling was going to work. What was that saying about insanity and doing the same thing over again?

"Seriously I'm trying to help you here! If you hit someone by accident you're looking at life in jail, buddy. Calm down!" Josh shouted at him. Some people just had no sense of self-preservation. With his fellow hero probably gone taking care of the other biker, there was no choice left. The biker was swerving all over the place like a lunatic now. He had to be stopped before he ran over some innocent pedestrian.

Josh squeezed the brake hard and wrapped his free arm around the biker's torso; the vehicle screamed as its tires burned against the pavement. Josh leaned hard to the left and shifted all of his mass to that side of the bike's center, causing it to fall over and skid out of control. His body expanded out into a thin, sheet-like structure and wrapped around the biker as they went down, tumbling along the pavement behind the bike. After a few painful moments they finally came to a stop.

The grey sheet flowed off of the biker and reformed into a humanoid figure. Looking behind him Josh saw a swath of grey flecks decorating the road along with the tattered remains of his clothes. That was close; if he had lost much more of his mass he might have reverted. The biker, of course, was unharmed.

"See, look at this mess! Now I have to get a new jacket. Asshole," Josh said, staring down at the thug. For once the man had grown quiet, perhaps finally realizing the extent to which he was outmatched. Josh supposed that he should at least stick around til the cops arrived.

Gaius cursed when the bikers split, veering off onto the side road. "Doubt any of the others are getting out of this without a couple scrapes, pal. You're not gonna be an exception!" he told the biker ahead of him as he slammed down on the gas, intending to make contact with the brake once he's successfully rammed the biker off the road because fuck if he knew any other way to do it that was more efficient or more satisfying on the move.

Dana frowned thoughtfully, crossing her arms. "Fencer. The name's definitely familiar... we never tangled with him back home, but word gets around." She raised one gloved hand to point at the man on the screen. "You said 'limited' telepathy. what are we talking about here, mind reading?"

Despite the chief;s warning, it was getting hard not to grin again. A big-time villain in her turf. This was exactly what she had been hoping for. Super speed and a sword won't help him much if I'm six stories up.

"Hmm... sounds pretty dangerous" mused Blink to herself as she noted down the info to pass it on to Revolver on a random scrap of paper she ported in.

"Nope, no associates. By now, though, he may have recruited some." Chief Duggins rubbed his chin. "We think his real name is Lorenzo Haygood, although there are two other men he could be - it's a little unclear, seeing as they all dropped off the planet around the same time and were born the same year. When in jail, he was always put in solitary, with special measures to prevent his escape. Not that it worked, as some of his associates used fake papers to get him out of jail. We guess he had them prepared in advance."

"As for his powers," Duggins continued, "His telepathy allows him to sense all his surroundings near him, including how many living beings there are. How near, we're not sure, other than it's somewhere south of a few hundred feet. Thankfully, that's as far as it extends - he can't actually affect minds. He mainly uses it, as best we can guess, to alert him to enemies and to navigate when he's dashing. Which he can do very fast; give him space to get going, and he can sprint up to 90-100 miles per hour. With his reflexes and telepathy, don't think you can pull a surprise to stop him when he's at that speed, though."

"And I see that grin," the chief snapped, turning to Girl Gale, "Don't even think about it." He sighed. "I wish I knew more, but that's about all the info I've got. Now then-"

"Excuse me, chief," a voice came from the door, "Revolver just called in, said he caught some bike gang members out for a joyride. I already dispatched a patrol car, but I've got reports of several other bikers on the loose."

"Right, send out at least one car to each location, and go tell Rickard to rev up the helicopter - they'll need it." Duggins turned. "Sorry, but I've got to go help coordinate this thing. Any other questions will have to wait. I'd appreciate any help you guys could give us on these bikers, but remember what I warned you about. Don't try to bring in the Fencer alone." He turned and left.

"Look, man, can't you give me a break? We were just having some fun!" the thug spoke up, protesting.

"Tell you what, I give in. Just make sure the boss doesn't find out about me." He looked up at Grey Ghost, face pleading. "Well?"

The biker that Gaius was chasing kept weaving in and out of traffic, causing cars to swerve and preventing the gap from being closed. Suddenly he veered to the right, jumping the curb and speeding down an pedestrian alley that was far too narrow for Gaius's truck to fit.

As Maestro soared upward, both thugs darted off in different directions, trying to make a run for it on foot.

"Look, man, you got to guarantee that we...what the hell?!" the thug suddenly shouted, as his partner ran, apparently trying to get as far away from Revolver as possible.

"I'm not falling for that." Revolver growled. "This isn't exactly a one-liner, but it's true that a jailbird in the hand is worth the second one escaping." He leveled his finger at his captive's head. "I'm fine with keeping one of you here while the squad car comes."

"Yes, Chief!" said Blink cheery and seconds later she was gone, though really she was half a mile above the station. Then she began to blink her way across town up to Revolver's location, where she appeared behind him "Need any- hold on" she vanished and appeared in front to the runaway biker "hey suspicious looking guy, going anywhere?" she quipped

The boss, huh? Who would that be? This guy was just some nobody who was probably about to go back to jail for the umpteenth time. His boss, however.... that would be someone worth knowing about. How to phrase it so that he'd tell?

"How could he find out? I don't even know who you're working for! Of course, I can have a pretty big mouth when I want to, and who knows who I might end up flapping it at? The only way I can guarantee that my lips will stay zipped is if you tell me who this boss man is," Joshua said to the biker.

Girl Gale held up her hands defensively. "Alright, alright. Message received, loud and clear." She said, still grinning beneath her mask. "I'm gonna go rough up some bikeys, I'll call it in if I spot out speedster."

Dana raised one eyebrow as Blink had the same idea and vanished into thin air. Must be handy. She thought wryly, before turning to leave the old-fashioned way. Once she was out at the front steps again, she gathered her power and took to the sky. Circling the building once, she gave the crew milling around the chopper on the precinct helipad a cheeky wave before shooting off at top speed.

A short while later, she was skimming along at rooftop-height, following the trail of disturbed commuters and pedestrians the bikers had left in their wake. Turning a corner, she spotted one of the offending motorbikes swerve across the curb and disappear into an alley. She grinned. Gotcha.

It wasn't hard to catch up with the bike, moving as the crow flies, as they say. Flying directly above him, she extended one hand downwards and swept backwards. Suddenly, the alleyway became a wind tunnel, gale-force streams of air blowing right into the rider's face.

Maestro got up to about roof-level on her stairs, when they started to shake. time for a little rest. She snapped her fingers, and the keys went idle. Time to see what she could see.

And what she could see was Blink and Gale. She tried waving over to them, but they probably couldn't notice her. Roof-hopping was her only way to continue moving now, as the piano got tired.

"Understood, chief," Ursa Major replied. Thinking about the situation, it seemed like all of the other supers had the direct approach covered. And they would probably be seen a mile away. Well, except Blink, of course. But for her, a more delicate approach, a more covert plan, would need to be implemented. One where she could blend into the urban environment and take her foes by surprise. Fortunately, she knew the city's map well enough. Throwing her coffee container into the recycle bin - just because she was helping to save the city didn't mean she couldn't help save the planet, after all - and darted out of the room, towards the closest stop where an approaching bus was arriving.

After patiently waiting for the few passengers to disembark at their stop, she stepped into the door. Floating some exact change to the farebox and nodding to the driver, she walked to the rear of the vehicle. It would only be a few more stops until she arrived to the scene, and then justice could be served.

Peacekeeper took a rifle and headed for the chopper. It would provide her with great maneuverability if something went down and a clear line of fire if that is all that was needed.

Gaius slowed down for a moment, cursing. As he sped up to try to keep following the biker (and probably in vain too, without being able to see the guy anymore), something briefly caught his eye in the rear-view mirror. He tried to keep an eye on it but lost it as they headed in the direction he intended to be going.

Maybe that was just what he needed, he thought, speeding up as much as he could to intercept the biker at the other end of the alley in the hopes that whoever had arrived on the scene had slowed them down and wouldn't be a pain in his ass to deal with.

"Look, it won't matter either way," the thug told Grey Ghost, "He knows where we all live, man! I want out of the city. If I stay here, he'll catch me. Even if I'm in jail."

"Damn it," the thug groaned as Blink popped in. "I give up."

"What the hell," the thug sitting near Revolver said, staring at the spot where Blink had just been standing. He slumped down, looking lost.

The wind gusts Girl Gale conjured blew down the alley, slowing the thug's motorcycle to a mere crawl. Squinting, he visibly mouthed "Damn it", although the sound of the rushing winds drowned out his voice.

Within moments, the helicopter was ready for takeoff.

"You going on that?" Duggins asked Peacekeeper from the helipad's door.

Meanwhile, the bus Ursa Major was on came to a stop. It seemed that a car, trying to get out of the way of the bike gang, had crashed into a power pole, blocking the road.

"I thought he couldn't find out about this little joyride of yours. Now you're saying it doesn't matter?"

Joshua shrugged. What the guy was saying didn't make sense to him, but he wasn't too surprised by it. There was no telling what this guy might be junked up on, after all. And his "boss" was probably just some older, tougher biker-thug.

"Sucks to be you I guess. Sheesh, cops sure are taking their time today! Maybe they stopped to talk those other heroes I saw. You know, you really should check and see who all might be living in a town before you go flying around saying it's 'yours.'"

Girl Gale raised one eyebrow as the bikey managed to keep his balance in the face of her gust. "Huh. He's pretty good." She said to herself, before flicking her fingers to one side. The rider would be suddenly caught by a second stream of concentrated air from the side, tossing him off of his bike and into the alley wall.

The blue-caped heroine let the air streams fade away as she descended to hover above him, crossing her arms as the wind swirled around her. "If I were you, pal, I'd just sit there." She shrugged. "I don't care either way, but at least you won't be out of breath when I dump your ass in a police car."

"Good view and maneuverability. Lets me be where I'm needed." She explained, grabbing helmet to dampen the sound of the chopper. When they were finally over the area, She looked through the scope of the rifle. She could see all three groups, relaying this information to the command center.

Ursa Major pulled on the yellow cord, and soon enough the door opened, allowing her to get off of the bus.

"Drive back, get these people to safety," Ursa Major told the bus driver as she stepped out of the back (side?) door of the vehicle. When she was completely out, she took a couple more steps to make sure her fur wouldn't get caught in the door if it closed, and then looked to see where the closest situation was.

Following Peacekeeper's directions, the police quickly spread out to the locations of the captured thugs. The four were quickly arrested, read their rights, and taken away, leaving the super heroes behind along with a token police force to handle the cleanup. Given that there were quite a few pedestrians, plus an entire street of mysteriously stalled cars, that might take a while.

However, one police car managed to find and arrest a different subject: Gaius, who had speeding around in an effort to find the remaining thugs. Breaking the speed limit, on top of being unregistered, meant that the police could not have ignored him, despite him being a super.

Meanwhile, the two other thugs, the ones that had run from Maestro, seemed to have vanished...

Aidan was still in his apartment when there was a loud knock on the door.

"FBI, open up! We have a warrant, and we know you're in there!"

Ursa Major could see that the bus had come to a stop four cars back, roughly forty feet from the accident. It looked like the driver had been able to walk away from it. He or she was probably among a small group of pedestrians surveying the accident from a distance, chatting amongst themselves or on cellphones.

While the power pole appeared to be steady, the fact that the car's front was putting out a lot of smoke was not a good sign...

"Shit," Aidan mumbled with a half-eaten pizza roll sticking out of his mouth. They'd really made good time. He hurriedly started shutting down all his devices, nuking the hard drives of anything he didn't need. He knew they'd been keeping tabs on him for over a week now (hard not to when you were keeping tabs on them), but he'd been too lazy to think that they'd try something this early. He needed to get into contact with someone who could shelter him. He started scrolling through his contact list for any other unregistered supers he knew he could rely on. Maestro was in the area, so she'd get here the quickest, but....

Aidan looked back at his rattling door with concern. The electronic lock would hold for another thirty seconds at most. Nevermind being picky, he needed to finish this phone call by then and get the hell out of dodge. Lord knows he didn't want to be here when those S.H.I.E.L.D. wannabes knocked down the door. He dialed Maestro's number, figuring he had no other choice if he wanted to get out of here in time. "Come on, pick up..."

"Hey, boy, how ya doing?" Antoinette said as she answered her phone. Her mask was off now, and she was chilling on the rooftop where she stopped a while ago. "I have nothing going on, so if you want me to get you something or other, by all means, tell."

She figured that if she was going to need to interact with people, she better put her mask back on. She did so, stood up, and brushed off her pants. After the little rest, she felt her piano was ready for action again. Snapping her fingers, the keys arranged themselves in order. Her phone was still in her cheek and shoulder, but she managed to play a few bars of a song, and it turns out she was right that they were back in business. "Where ya at boy? I'll come see you."

"How am I doing..." Aidan looked back at the door, which was emitting muffled cries of open up and you punk. "I've been better."

There was a bang-squeal as one of the agents kicked the door so hard the hinges started coming loose. Ten seconds. "Listen, ummm... you can fly, right? Could you come pick me up?" Aidan heard the sound of a shotgun cock. "Preferably sooner rather than later!"
