@Scott: Listen, you're not the only one who's into something that other people find weird or freaky. Nobody is the only one. Everybody has some sort of interest that other people would find weird or distasteful. There's no need for you to leave the thread. If you need to talk about stuff, just PM someone. There are plenty of people on here who are willing to talk about it.

If you don't want to make a scene, there's nothing wrong with wanting to step away for a bit and clear your head a bit. But that's no reason to bail completely.

That said, given the mod note we should probably move on to talk about other stuff before it gets out of hand.

This week was just going fine. I was feeling pretty good through most of it, if a little bored. I was thinking "Hey, maybe I'm not depressed. Maybe I'm getting better. Maybe life is getting good again." Hell, I was starting to feel motivated to start writing stuff and maybe even watch something on something like Netflix.

And then it starts hitting me again today. On a Friday of all days. I start getting all mad at myself, doing my fucking "woe is me" bullshit again, but then I start to feel a little better. Like, I might being doing fine.

Nope. Not any more. Now I feel like shit again. And it's all my own damn fault.

I just really despise myself. I really honestly do.

I'm not trying to get people to sympathize with me or try and help me. None of that. I just... I don't know. I just don't honestly know.

I'm sorry. I really am.

I'm just going to leave this here before I go to bed.

If I am reading this correctly, Scott, you have nothing to feel ashamed of. I can certainly tell you that I know people that share what you put in the spoiler box, so you are definitely not alone in that one.

Also, just because you have had a warning or two from the mods, it doesn't mean you have to leave the thread/forums in shame. Heck, I've done a lot worse in other forums and I'm still around (got perma-banned in another forum literally due to my own stupidity). Too many people on this thread will miss you if you did that too. From what I have seen during my pretty short time on this thread, you have a lot of friends here that deeply care for you and would be heartbroken if you decided to leave.

Final Fantasy 6: That one chest behind bars is really bugging me.

I keep feeling like I'm missing something. There's this huge setup to the whole castle, and then Odin just crumbles away when you try to talk to him, and that other guy doesn't show up at all. And there's the unreachable chest and the thing in the bookshelf about the queen. I don't get it. My Conservation of Detail sense is tingling, but I can't find anything else to do here. Guess I'll just have to leave.

Shame I have to walk all the way back through the cave.

Well that was pretty darn anticlimatic.

Upon returning, the prison guard tells me they discovered an ancient text in the library.

But I can't actually go to the library while the castle is underground.

Time to restart the engines then.

Well that didn't really answer anything. There's obviously more to the castle, but whatever it is, I can't figure it out.

Well next up is Ebot's Rock. Apparently the reason nothing happened before is that you can't take Relm and Strago directly there. You have to talk to NP Cs in Thamasa with them in the party first.

Umaro's HP is slightly less than Celes's despite being 6 levels higher.

This time Relm and Strago are being accompanied by Sabin. I watched them try to fight a monster earlier and it was just pathetic. Edgar was doing more damagae than that when he was level 10!

As soon as I enter Thamasa, Relm runs off.

So Gungho was hurt by Hidon and wants Strago to avenge him. Too bad Strago couldn't avenge a paper bag.

Strago: "I'm sorry, Relm..."

Relm: Who is this Relm you speak of? She sounds like a cool girl.

Strago: ... you're not even wearing the fake mustache any more.

Relm: Really? Crap!

I wonder what Sabin was doing during this whole cutscene.

An NPC tells Relm about how not long ago, an aristocrat took her to Jidoor.

Another NPC told me about the triangular island and the Zone Eater. I guess that's how you're supposed to find out about it if you don't obsessively check the world map or get hints from others like I did.

There is now a cave on Ebot's Rock.

There's a little circle of visibility effect. Good thing Edgar knows flash right? And here I thought it was a useless HM.

Relm tries to feed the chest coral, but she "doesn't even have any!" Shame the chest won't take dried meat.

This place is going to be annoying to navigate.

The thing about level 10 Edgar wasn't quite accurate. But it was close. Their damage is more comparable to level 15 Cyan.

It appears that all the chests in this place are just coral. So I guess there isn't that much point to trying to explore. So far Relm's accumulated 14 by my count.

I seem to be trapped in a tiny cavern with a savepoint and no way out. The only panel there just drops you back in the same place. Good thing the random encounters frequently drop teleport stones. I think it's meant as a hint.

Is it me or do the panels change at random?

Yep. Got sent to savepoint hell again, but after stepping on the panel twice in a row, I was teleported back out.

guess you just step on panels randomly and hope you get where you want to go?

I just remembered to check espers. Odin gives +1 speed, which is certainly tempting. I still don't understand how speed actually works though.

I apologize for how I acted last night. It was, completely out of line and I'm sorry for it. I was not for some reason in the best mood.

I do think it'd be best if I'd leave the thread for good. Half the time on here I'm doing nothing but self loathing whining all the time and last night was the point where I felt like I went too far. I don't really think I should be here anymore. I think I've just became a nuisance and if I stay any longer I could cause much, much worse things to happen. I don't think me staying here is a good idea. Like I said, what I did was not good at all. I went way too overboard with it. And I really regret it. But I think that was a sign that I should leave the thread for good.

I haven't really done much of note around here but whining and moaning about my self and I don't really think it's a good idea to do it here, at least. I rarely was on here recently anyways. And don't think it was because of any of you guys, it's not. It's because I just seemed to be stressed or depressed over something. Getting thumped last night I think was a sign. A sign that I don't belong here on this thread anymore.

I think it'd be best for everyone if I left for good and was forgotten by the people here. What do you guys think?

OOC: I'll admit, this is a bullshit puzzle. Go back to the underground castle, stand in front of the queen's throne (the right chair), go forward 5 steps (you should be on a stair tile) and press A. Go back to the room with the books and you should see a set of stairs.

Speed affects your ATB bar. If you want a comparison, I remember leveling some of my characters using an esper you've yet to get that grants speed +2. They were about level 40 when I started grinding and ended at level 60 if I recall. The speed difference was so great that a character that I didn't grind was slower with haste than the character who was doped on speed without haste.

... I just don't really know.
