Final Fantasy 6: Checked a walkthrough. Apparently you're supposed to just keep talking to Gerad over and over until he cracks.
Looks like Gerad is already on his way to the ship. I just didn't notice since I didn't realize he was supposed to move.
He stopped to go shopping.
Gerad's probably just doing this so he can get back to his castle. He probably doesn't want to rob it.
Celes takes the ferry to Nikeah and back because why not. I'm sure Gerad will wait up.
Rich Guy's Daughter is now telling me to jump on the turtle, whatever that means.
P.S. When I checked the walkthrough, it said the recommended level for Nikeah was 31. So my Sabin Soling appears to have put me ahead of the curve. Either that or it's all the getting lost and wandering around. For reference, Sabin is lvl46 and Celes is 32.
Celes revists the room where she met Locke. It's empty.
Nothing new in the secret passage. It even has the same enemies as last time.

The NP Cs here just talk about how they can't breathe. Celes, Sabin, and Gerad seem to be under no difficulties though.
Finally allowed into the fabled engine room.
Sabin got a crown. Finally special equipment that he can actually use. For some reason, he can't actually use many of the items in this game.
Edgar chainsaws all the tentacles to death. Surprsingly, this is a fight that can't be trivially solved with blitzes. Wonder if that was intentional.
Holy cow, Edgar is now level 40!!! Looks like my plan to exploit the offscreen level rebalances is actually working.
Edgar hasn't done any serious fighting since the original fight with Ultros and hasn't even been in the party since that little side trip I took to Figaro Castle so Sabin could reminisce. He's gone all the way from level 12 to level 40 purely on Pity Points.
The ironic part is that the level rebalances usually end up causing unused characters to be much stronger than the ones you were actually training. Last time the difference wasn't quite so drastic, with the lowest in my party being Relm at level 24, and all the unused characters being bumped up to 26. This time it's quite a bit more drastic, as Celes, my second most used character, is only 34, but everyone else is level 40 now!
At least I'm asusming everyone else will be 40. I haven't actually met anyone but Edgar yet of course.
The crimson robbers seem to have missed a Soul Saber in the suit of armor.

Ok, now I KNOW the castle mechanics are just taunting me. The Kohligen and Figaro deserts are literally on different islands now. Remind me again why the castle can't just teleport to any desert on any island? There are tons of them.

Anyway, the number of characters is starting to slow down combat again, so I think I'll try to kill off Edgar. Will be tough since he's higher level than Celes.
Edgar apparently doesn't know any spells. Probably because I haven't used him at all since I got espers. Well until know, and he hasn't been here long enouhg to learn new spells yet.
Just found a place called Darill's Tomb. I don't think this was here before. It's about where Kohligen should be.

Looks like Dragon Neck did get help for building his collossseum. And I didn't even have to do any subquests or anything.
Apparently, if you wager anything cheap, Typhon will just blow you away and there's nothing you can do. It's a mulligen essentially.
I can't find anything to wager that doesnt' cause Typhon to apepar. Even a freaking Enhancer got me Typhon'ed.

@Dark: No, I've been very bitter over ponies for a long time now. That whole thing just kind of added to it. I have been keeping distracted with other things I really enjoy, like Panty and Stocking, Azumanga Daioh and Madoka Magica. Those things kept me from thinking more about pony stuff, which meant less thinking about that. On the other hand I do have suspicions of possibly having deppression {Not because of that though}, so maybe?
Here's one more thing I don't get though: When I would get mad about what happend with Vinyl, people would think I'm being overdramatic. If/when someone gets mad about how Deadpool was portrayed in X Men Origins Wolverine or the entire cast of Avatar were handled in that crappy Last Airbender movie, chances are people would be more understanding. I mean at this point I'm starting to ignore the whole Vinyl thing so I'll probably care less as time goes on, but I still don't get the entire difference between all of that.

Well in Deadpool's case it's taking a character who was known for being a hilarious snarker and making him into a mute for no reason. In Last Airbender, they took the funny guy Sokka and turned him into a emo Anakin Skywalker wannabe with none of the humor he's suppose to have, and that's not even getting into what the film did to everyone else including the not-funny characters. That movie was terrible.

@marston: It might be because the other things you mentioned are all canon for their series, in that they are actual movies/TV shows/comics that are considered official (so far as I can guess, since I'm not that familiar with any of them), whereas the difference with Vinyl is because those portrayals were fan-created and thus aren't an official part of the show. The same thing probably happened with Luna when Luna Eclipsed came out and gave her a canon characterization that was different from what some fans had imagined beforehand.

^^Well I suppose that's the reason for it all. You should watch Avatar The Last Airbender though. It's an awesome show that mixes humor, drama, action and all that other stuff flawlessly.
Fun fact: I heard that Zuko's voice actor is actually a brony, and that Azula's actress was in a pony fan video at one point.

@Mars I'm watching the show again. I keep forgetting to tell you guys that I've watched Avatar a couple of months ago and then Korra. I liked Avatar so much, I ended up buying the DV Ds. Currently I'm five episodes into season 3. I'm making up for it because a couple of years before I watched the show, I watched the movie twice, so I'm making up for it by watching the entire show twice.
Ah yes...Ride to Hell...in this forum house, you can still see some dried blood from me playing that game.

^To be fair, I wouldn't mind that last part of your "Movie idea". Then again I've been watching and reading tons of things where the world is crapsack, so maybe I'm biased.
The scariest thing about a parrel dimension I once went to was that in there, Last Airbender was a box-office success even though everyone hated it, and it got a crap load of sequels. Terrifying. On the other hand, Simpsons had ended at season 9 and Family Guy was still good, so I guess it worked out?

^That reminds me, the Transformers cartoon that was around when the Hub started up was freaking terrible. Not at first, but as it went on. I'm tempted to rant about it and all the shit it did wrong, but I bet barely anyone here has even watched it or is even a fan of Transformers, so it would be like yelling at a brick wall.
Beast Wars on the other hand is the polar oppisite. It starts out mediocre and kind of crappy, but it gets so much better as it goes on and then turns into what's probably the best Transformers cartoon out of all of them.

^To be honest, I actually like the 4th movie quite a bit. It's not best movie of the year, but it did actually give the autobots focus and characterization unlike the previous films and I liked the villains a lot too. The first two were terrible though and the third one wasn't all that great either.

At least in the 4th movie you don't have to put up with Sam Witwicky and his uninteresting love life, and there isn't really much if any perverted humor in the film either {The only example I can think of is a brief joke that actually pokes fun at that sort of stuff from the earlier films}. And none of the human characters from the previous movies return either.
Hey Marcen, have you seen Madoka Magica? It's a pretty great show, but I can't say too much about it because it's the type of thing that runs on plot twists. You can find it on Netflix and Hulu if you happen to have either one of those. All of my non-pony avatars are actually fanart of my two favorite characters from the show.

I haven't heard of it. I'm watching several shows right now. I'm watching Avatar again, Supernatural, Parks and Rec (last season), Futurama, among others. I'm trying to catch up with those but eventually I will.
I was pretty cynical about more Transformers....that's why I didn't bother.

Oh, the Transformers movies were mentioned. Really did not like any of those Live-Action ones. The most recent one was just bad (it also liked changing things into guns, like that Transformer's face and Rainbow Dash). The selling point (the Dinosaur Transformers) barely had any screentime either.

If you do decide to look it up, three bits of advice.
1: The full name is "Puella Magi Madoka Magica". I just really don't like typing it all the time so I generally shorten it to either PMMM or Madoka Magica.
2: Watch the TV Series, not the first two movies. The first two films are compilations of the show, but they cut out scenes for time, some of which were actually interesting. The show is the best way to experiance it.
3: The third movie Rebellion {Which is a true sequel to the show} has a very mixed reputation amongst the fanbase, so be warned about the possibility of not liking it.
