Oh, are we talking about bad fanfiction? Because I've written some stuff that was intentionally bad. It was designed to imitate the style of Peter Chimera or SqurirrelKing. I don't know if it's good/bad enough to post online. No one has ever read any of it and I could use some feedback. I don't suppose anypony wants to read it?

Yeah, but has anyone submitted an accepted chapter that had terrible grammar, bad writing style and just plain not making sense? Cause that's what I'm thinking of {Read the aforementioned Doom fanfic to get an idea of what I mean, though it would be longer then that}.

To be fair he wasn't trying to be bad, English just wasn't his first language and wow did it ever show.

But to answer your Question Marston, yes. Yes, there have been chapters that have been downright awful, even if not necessarily on purpose. Our 'rule', loose as it is, isn't that you shouldn't be purposefully bad, but rather that you shouldn't be random for the sake of being random. The Insaneponytales are an organic sort of madness grown in a loving environment of people who have simply stopped giving a fuck about any conception of the story outside of their own, and the inherent inability to maintain consistent plot threads. The closest we've come to deliberate randomness was Cheerilee's class, and even then due only to the fact that the story structuire allowed for what was essentially a series of vingettes over a proper narrative, and letting it all play out from there.

Hmm, I see. I just think it would be funny if even if it was insane, one chapter would at least be coherent in it's randomness, while the next one is what would happen if Peter Chimara tried to write a romantic action tragedy {As in, something that tries to be dramatic but fails for so many reasons, not least of which is the awful writing style, except this time it's all done on purpose} that stars ponies, with a little bit of insanity you would expect from that Half Life: Full Life Consequences fic.

Man, we really need to get going with the next Round Robin.

As for fanfics, so far I've only had two that even sort of went anywhere. The first one got up to about 10k words before I abandoned it, unpublished. The second is one that I've been thinking about and coming up with ideas for almost 6 months now but still haven't managed to write anything concrete. But I feel like I have to do it, so I'll probably get something written at some point.

As for art, there's just no way I'll ever be able to put in the time required to get good. I mean, the only way I'll have any free time is if I give up Reddit and TV Tropes.

@Scott It's normal for an artist, a writer, an illustrator to have doubts about their work. Everyone can praise your work but, in the end, you will see the flaws and try to improve on your practises. There is no reason to give up, as long as you grow and learn from your experiences. The only reason you would give up is when you don't feel that passion anymore. You're young. There's a future ahead.

@Story: You just need to give yourself an incredibly hard, short deadline with a harsh penalty of failure so that you spend three months doing nothing but working. Then spend the next three years forcing yourself to be constantly working on something in any free time, until you become constitutionally incapable of not working without feeling creeping guilt and anxiety, like me. Then it's easy.

Final Fantasy 6: And now it's Sabin time!

What dire fate? Oh no, he seems to have found his way to the next continent! Woe is Sabin!

Just checked the abilities menu of Sabin. Apparently he has two other Blitzes that the game never mentioned.

Of course, as powerful as Sabin's blitzes are, the problem is he has no builtin healing. Hopefully he'll find a town soon since he's going to be hitting the potions soon.

Sabin runs into "Imperial Camp". Hey guys, do you have any inns or potions for sale?

If Kefka becomes general, there will be mass defections. Noted. ... hey speak of the devil.

So they already lost one general, Celes by threatening to execute her for no reason so Locke would rescue her. Now everyone's talking about General Leo, who sounds like a dead man walking if he's in the way of Kefka's promotion. Unless Celes's last name is Leo?

... if it is, then they are confused about Celes's gender.

Why send a dozen ordinary soldiers at the castle? Even a single Magitek Mecha could take them all. Kefka probably just wants to see them die because it's funny or something.

Or the mechas are all busy cleaning the sand out of his boots.

Doman sentry. Oh I thought it said Domain sentry. Anyway, guess whatever these guys say isn't that important, since they're all about to be poisoned anyway. Time to see just how much of a dick Kefka is.

He doesn't fear death. He really should given the incoming poison. Then again as a named character, he's probably going to escape somehow.

Cyan goes outside to challenge the commander to a duel. Meanwhile all the imperisal soldiers are just running up to the wall and bouncing off or doing stretches and jumping jacks or something. It's hard to tell if they're even trying. Good thing noone's bothering to fight them off.

Or running in place. One of the soliders is just running in place in front of the wall. That's the sort of thing you normally only see in 3d games. In something like this, someone had to deliberately program that animation in.

Cyan: I've had enough of this foolishness. Time to go back into the castle.

What? Apparently he's not willing to turn his back on an enemy. Which would ordinarily be a smart move, but none of them are even trying to attack, so there's no risk of a backstab or whatever. I wonder what will happen if he's surrounded.

He'll probably spin rapidly in a circle trying to avoid turning his back on any of them.

Cyan walks up to one of the soldiers (Well apparently 2 of them) and starts fighting them even thugh they were just standing there minding their own buisness.

Counterattack? What is this BS? Also, I see Cyna's special ability is Bushido, whatever that does. I've been wondering about that ever since it showed up in the start menu at the beginning of the game.

Cyan: Guys, there's a gaping hole in the castle walls around the side here. I mean, if you actually care about winning or anything, you might want to come over here.

He tries to challenge the soldiers guarding the way to freedom. But the Domain Sentry tells him not to and he steps back.

Cyan just drank two of the party's potions. Despite the fact that the party is scattered across three continents and he's never met any of them before. My Final Fantasy: Inventory is Magic. I'll have to watch out to make sure Shadow doesn't steal any of my items. I wonder when he's going to join.

Cyan also grabbed the Knight's Code. Samurai, Knight, same difference. Not that he actually has any allies.

Cyan challenges the soldier to a quick 1v1. He decides to try out Bushido. I'm sure the interface for this is going to be explained at some point. Just not yet.

It appears that the number affects which style he does, with 3 being Tiger, the most useless. Which somehow killed the Captain even though it only did 9 damage the last time and it's supposed to just halve health, which logically can never kill anyone.

I'm surprised Kefka didn't just kill Leo. I suppose faking a pigeon to make him run off also works.

Spoiler: Leo died on the way back to his home planet. Because of a pit trap at the edge of camp that Kefka dug. Kefka wasn't reaplly planning it for Leo specifically, he just thought it'd be funny to see if anyone fell in.

Correction: Kefka made his zombie Xwings dig the trap for him.

And now Sabin completely fails at hiding. By running away from the chest height wall he was crouching behind. The problem with these cover based shooters is that the controls for wall hugging are so akward, you never know when you'r going to run off into the line of fire.

Kefka challenges Sabin to a wrestling match. Sabin responds by trying out Meteor Strike for the first time.

Apparently Meteor Strike is a wrestling move.

Sabin: Wait! <- You already said that. Does he look like a waiter? That isn't a thing that started being true in the last 0.5 seconds.

Time to go pet the dog some more. It's said to reduce stress.

Sabin suddenly doesn't want to cross the bridge for some reason. Look, he's going to dump the poison anyway. Why not just relax and go for a walk pet some dogs, you know.

Sabin takes off Terra's gauntlet and puts on a black belt. It matches his earring.

I've been really wondering about that diamond shaped robot thingie sitting in the camp.

Found a tent I can go into. Who the heck keeps a satellite/kill robot in their chests?

Does that rage thing ever end? This battle is going to last forever if Sabin just keeps punching ineffectually like that.

At least the black belt is comming in super handy here.

Sabin finally manages to punch the satellite to death with 6HP remaining. Wow that was close.

I know that I'm gonna have to always be trying to improve, that I shouldn't compare my self to others, and that I'm likely not gonna get popular. But even knowing that, I'm still probably hate my work, compare my self, and feel like shit for being unknown. No matter what's told to me I don't think it's gonna help. I'm a lost cause. You guys should just give up on me cause I ain't gonna be fixed. I just don't feel like I'm ever gonna be good at what I do. So why bother? Why not just accept that I'll be nothing more then another average, mundane, everyday, normal person who can't do anything creative.

I'm sorry for what I just posted. I'm just kind of in a shitty mood today and felt like venting. I don't want to come off as some guy looking for someone to pity. I just wanted to get this outta my system cause I've just been feel like an actual piece of shit lately. I'll get off so I won't bug you guys since I'm probably being really annoying.

I don't know why I've been feeling like shit today. It's wasn't that bad of day. Pretty average, really. I think the point where I started feeling shit was when I realized just how much I fear being a part of the 90% of Sturgeons Law. After that I just have been feeling pretty bad.

Didn't help that I thought I had pissed off an R Per I really liked when in reality I didn't and they just had a problem with the session.

I have been feeling pretty shit for a while now. Like how I feel that I'm a failure and how I suck. But I ain't saying it's depression. That's way too serious for my problem I've been having. I'm probably just another whiny shit ass teen who's going through a mood. No way I'm feeling depressed. That's ridiculous.

Nope, there are two chances to recruit Shadow early and have him as a party member, you missed one.

He shows up as a MUST HAVE party member a bit later, after that.... it all depends on your actions.

I can't really explain it, but sometimes I get stuck in an absolutely horrible mood that can last a couple of days at a time if really bad. I wouldn't call it depression either, but during that period, I feel like literally the worst person in the world and that everyone despises me etc. Sounds to me like you might be stuck in something similar. If it is or even if it isn't and you don't know what's causing it or why, I hope you can figure it out and conquer it soon.

That... kinda sounds a lot like depression. I mean, I'm hardly an expert on such things, but if that's happening on a regular basis you should probably talk to a doctor about it.
