Yeah. Just, don't get all the people that hated Brawl over them making it not as convoluted for everyone.
Though yes the tripping thing was bullshit.
I am stoked for Smash 4. I'll be my second game after Brawl.
Of course, the recent leaks have made it terribly obnoxious to talk about lately.
Visit my Tumblr! I may say things. The Bureau ProjectI don't get why people are making such a big deal about leaks. Of course I'm not invested in the hype at all, so I'd only care if something like Epic Yarn Kirby appears.
I take it you're not a fan of puzzle platformers?
Blind Final Fantasy 6 Let's Play@Ed So am I, just a few more months and the 3DS version will be all mine.
"Transform and Roll out!" Optimus Prime@Seraphem: I'm not really a hardcore gamer, but I could tell that Brawl played noticeably different than Melee did. Everything just felt a bit slowed down, and it was tough to adjust to. Brawl is definitely a fun game, but the change in the physics engine was different enough to be noticeable even to people who aren't really deep into tournament play. But yeah, I have no issue with losing stuff like Wavedashing.
Reaction Image RepositoryI'd probably have to adjust to the new game being faster because my only experience has been with Brawl.

Visit my Tumblr! I may say things. The Bureau Project@story its not that. Its just I'm not too much of a fan of games that are artsy and minimalistic(ie. braid, going home and dear Ester.
@Smash 4 good god I've been so fucking excited since I saw that there could be a smash for 3DS/
@the leaks Ooo boy, that's a whole can of worms.I don't particularly mind it,not like leaks are a rarity.
My Tumblr "If theirs one thing I'm good at, it's blowing" Jesse Cox 2013Brawl is slower, but I don't think that's necessary a bad thing. I think the popularity of Melee (and it's Spiritual Successor Project M) is because it has a lot more advanced techniques for the people who count frames, whereas Brawl tried more to cater to casual players.
From the sound of it, Smash 4 will try to strike a balance between the two.
Blind Final Fantasy 6 Let's PlayI definitely prefer the slower pacing in Brawl.
Couldn't play Brawl, but I was a big Melee fan. For my part I thought the physics were fluid, fast-paced, and promoted timed hits and combos. Also a lot of subtle though not exactly necessary moves could be picked out if you experimented. I thought it was fun and not very hard to get into.
"No will to break."My problem is that I never played Melee much, so I essentially 'grew up' on Brawl. It's only recently that I've started playing M, though I have at least gotten to the point where I'm no longer 4th every single game.
Blind Final Fantasy 6 Let's PlayThe only game I was ever good enough to be seriously competitive at was Achron. But Achron is a game where simply connecting to multiplayer puts you in the top 20 in the world. .
Blind Final Fantasy 6 Let's PlayI prefer Melee, though that might be because it was the first Smash game I really got into. Brawl makes it too difficult to move fluidly and followup attacking an opponent after you knock them back.
Reaction Image RepositoryI've played all the Smash games, and I think I like Brawl the best. It got rid of the physics exploits (sorry, I mean "advanced techniques") from Melee, had more diversity in the cast (Melee had a lot more clones), introduced exciting new things like Final Smashes and overall made things more chaotic. Which is a good thing in my book, since I've always seen Smash more as a party game than as a tournament-level fighting game. Tripping can die in hell, though.
That said, I will forever miss my main fighter from Melee: Mewtwo. You will not be forgotten, floaty psychic cat.
I missed Mewtwo too, even though I only play Kirby nowadays. Luckily, Mewtwo was brought back in Project M.
Blind Final Fantasy 6 Let's Play@Irish: I definitely get that. I just wish that the mechanics weren't so... floaty. If they would've sped it up a bit (and kept Mewtwo), Brawl would've blown Melee out of the water. Project M is a good "best of both worlds" scenario though. Plus customization options.
Anyway, I'm heading to bed now.

If Smash 4 doesn't suck competitively, I wonder if there will be a war with M.
Blind Final Fantasy 6 Let's PlayI kind of hope it does suck for 'professionals' This is supposed to be a fun party game. items, randomness, chaos.. not some uber balanced, ultimate test of skill fighting game.
Why can't it be both?
<mariachi music>
Seriously, though. Include wacky stages and lots of item options and random effects for people who just want a crazy party game. Include some boring, balanced stages and the option to turn off items and random effects, for people who want to turn it into a serious tournament.
I didn't write any of that.
It's also the name of an image hosting site.
It's a fairly average puzzle platformer so far. I guess the interesting thing about it is that all the characters are colored rectangles.
