Is that A1 pictures? Because the eyes seem like the ones they use for most of their work.
Also the fact that most of the characters are shown naked shows what they're hoping in selling

I don't think its intended to get up to the Murder Mystery turned Zombie Apocalypse bullshit arc.
The sections of the series where almost all the scenes shown happened are the most popular from my understanding, except for the chibi Eva scene, they are likely to rush there and go full on with said romcom portion and likely the Santa arc.
Yeah, I mean...the animation is nice....
Why the fuck are they all naked?
Really not impressed by the PV. Just Touta swinging his sword and some fanservice.
Its an Akamatsu series. Fanservice above everything else is totally expected. Unlike Negima, its at least not forcing attention away from a decent plot this time, I guess.
I can't seem to get used to Kirie's blond hair… No matter how many color pages I see, I can only picture her as Fiery Redhead…
I blame the original promo of the UQ cast before the whole idea of what this series was supposed to be about got dumped. It gave her more of a pinkish hue, so I honestly have a hard time picturing her in anything but that. Honestly, bright blonde hair doesn't look quite right to me either.
I hate the fanservice in Akamatsu series, to be honest. At least to me, they are neither sexy nor funny, so it's distracting and at times (when the subject of fanservice is physically middle school and below) frankly disgusting.
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel.Hmm, I must admit I did find a lot of the Negima fanservice funny (if only because it was mostly incorporated as gags such as Negi sneezing their clothes off).
Well, that does kind of come with the territory in an Akamatsu series, Roy. Personally I've never had a problem with it, especially since I read the series when I was in high school myself. I understand where you're coming from, especially now that I'm older, but to some extent it just is what it is.
It's been fun."It is what it is."
You know what. It really is. That's how it is for most anime/manga/light novel for me these days. There was a time when I would watch like, what, two anime cour per week? Nowadays, though, the last anime - even a single cour - I finished was about 2 years ago.
Amusingly enough, this...disillusionment of anime/manga had its root on the ending of Negima. It was the first time that made me wonder if it's worth being invested in a series. It made me wonder if it's worth just caring. And you know what? Akamatsu clearly didn't care. And as I would find out in years to come...so many artists don't either.
Of course, every once a while there are creators who genuinely care, ones that I actually kept up with and finished. But now, I find it too bothersome to even filter out the good ones.
That's the sentiment I'm going through, based on my experience. I don't know what kind of experience other people had, with this series or beyond, but I'm sure they have their own perspectives.
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel.Apparently that PV is from the OAD, not the anime, which is why there's so much fanservice in it.
...Wow.
This is just me and my opinion of what I, not you, would do but if I started thinking like that, I'd just quit anime all together
I will probably never quit anime and manga. I love them too much for that. But my consumption of them is drastically decreasing each passing year.
I don't think they gotten worse. If they have, well, I certainly don't have any proof. The chances are, my taste changed over the time.
And yes, UQ Holder still tastes rotten.
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel.Chapter 139 is out now.
Only on Crunchyroll for now it seems: https://www.reddit.com/r/UQHolder/comments/6sks37/uq_holder_chapter_139_links_discussion/
Mirror sites will have it soon.
Trying to tie Negima off via flashback. That's pretty weak, but I shouldn't be surprised. I'd be cool as long as it never goes back to the present, I guess.
What I really hate is that no one looks older except the boys, at all. Nodoka has a new hair style, Setsuna looks taller, and that's it. That sucks more then anything.
Huh, AA being useful what a rare sight
Did you...
Y'know what, I'm not even going to bother.
Really great action in the latest chapter, I'm glad Akamatsu can still depict good fighting scenes with his art-style. Makes me hyped for future UQ Holder fights too.
This was a really cool chapter actually. Also no UQ Holder characters show up. I wonder if there's a connection.
Why do I get a feeling that the whole of UQ Holder is just an excuse for this one flashback?
As much as I'd love UQ Holder getting utterly dumped for this, its not going to happen.
And man, I missed Dynamis. Probably one of my fave villains of the series.

Also, this chapter remained me of a question that I had since the character got first introduced in Negima:
What the hell went down with the Adad series?!
We have our 1st PV: https://youtu.be/oVALIDOhLhs
Once again, the suspicious lack of Santa, lowers my expectations.
