I'll keep my eyes open for this one. I love movies like this.
although I did realize . . . if they were going to be totally realistic with this, most creatures wouldn't be able to design something on a human-level. Even without using human design elements, most animals could realistically only design primitive housing. Between brains sizes and shapes, there's just not the right kind of brains in most of them to put that much consideration into such matters.
I think they're doing the Pixar method. This film is going to be a experimentation of another technique for future film. Like how Wreck it Ralph was about experimenting jelly-candy for luminescence.
The furryfandom has a new favorite movie it looks like.
Will have a new favorite movie.
And what does that even matter?
Not sure if I said this, but if Wreck It Ralph was their tribute to gamers and Big Hero 6 was their tribute to anime fans...
....is Zootopia their tribute to the Furry Fandom?
You are displaying abnormally high compulsions to over-analyze works of fiction and media. Diagnosis: TV Tropes Addiction. My impression is that given how this will be a crime comedy and have guns or some version of guns, this will be a movie furries could take very seriously.
Also, it seems like they're designing the environments to be suited for animals' shapes, tastes, interests, hobbies, and lifestyle too! Ex- maybe various sizes of doors, or varies building scales. Or special road lanes. I imagine very creative, clever sight gags.
Zootopia got a mention at the end of this Big Hero 6 article. Unsurprisingly, the self-imposed challenge for the animation team this time around is in rendering fur. Lots and lots of fur.

.... maybe the environment is also partly made out of fur!
.... actually that would imply creepy things.
I am betting this movie is going to try to "break the mold" for... well Nick Wilde is going to blamed for the crime he didn't commit, only because he's a fox, and although foxes are characterized as "sneaky", he didn't do it.
On another point, who else thinks that Music/Ylvis "The Fox (What Does the Fox Say?)" will be used in a trailer?

Did somebody say GIRAFFES? GIRAFFE!!!!!!!So...a metaphor for race relations, or something? That could be interesting. Who's cast as our leads?
Oh God! Natural light!"The comedic adventure film follows Nick Wilde, a fast-talking fox who's trying to make it big, who goes on the run when he's framed for a crime he didn't commit. Zootopia's top cop, the self-righteous rabbit Lt. Judy Hopps, is hot on his tail, but when both become targets of a conspiracy, they're forced to team up and discover even natural enemies can become best friends."
I don't know why, but I imagining Robin Hood in a modern city with pants.

Supports cartoons being cartoony! The plot sounds better now.
It's The Fugitive with furries!
Can we have Jodie Foster as Hopps? Or Maybe Frances Mc Dourmand...an older actress, middle-aged. I'm imagining an older cop lady type, rather than a rookie with an ego to break, since she's a lieutenant. a Javert with fur and a vagina, if you will.
Also, I hope they won't waste time on a romance between the two. I mean I suppose it could work, but it doesn't seem...necessary or relevant to the plot at hand...

These days it takes BALLZ to release an animated feature without a romance subplot. I would respect them immersely if they go for that, but sadly I know they won't.
There wasn't a romance subplot in Big Hero 6...
Neither did Winnie The Pooh- and that had talking animals in it too.
You are displaying abnormally high compulsions to over-analyze works of fiction and media. Diagnosis: TV Tropes Addiction. So you're saying this will be the greatest thing since Winnie-the-Pooh?!
I dunno. Pooh reaches the pantheon of "Greatest Disney Movies" in my book.
Wreck It Ralph comes in right alongside it, and Big Hero 6 just narrowly beats it and for good reason.
You are displaying abnormally high compulsions to over-analyze works of fiction and media. Diagnosis: TV Tropes Addiction.Well, Disney decided to give us something.
They're not obligated to this far out, but it looks nice.
Edit: Ooh, actually it's closer than I thought.

Visit my Tumblr! I may say things. The Bureau ProjectWhew! Now they have a whole TWO pieces of art! For a moment, I thought the first one was all they made of the movie!
I am still sad it's not going to be 2D.
Sad face.
