Hmm. Might be hard to link it to the subject of the topic but I wil ltry. I mean, to me it is clearly linked but it might be hard for others to grasp it so? If I step out of line, please let me know.

Anyways Igarapé Institute, an NGO from Brazil that monitors numbers of homicides among the world. It notes this...rather alarming bit of news.

With just 8% of World Population, Latin America and the Caribbean host 33% of the amount of homicides in 219 countries which were analyzed. The sources of information are the police institutions, safety institutions, and other local institutions of each country analyzed.

Top 20 countries with most homicides include 16 Latin American countries.

Brasil ES EL NUMERO UNO HUEHUEHUE in absolute homicide numbers, however. In this top 20 list we find Honduras, Venezuela, Virgin Islands (See? No sex makes you violent), Belice, Jamaica, Guatemala, El Salvador, Puerto Rico, and Dominican Republic.

Most of Africa won't have reliable numbers and neither will South or Central Asia, the Middle East defiantly wont and neither will China.

Plus there's categorisation differentials, I bet a lot of countries file a number of deaths as war casualties rather than homicides.

I mean, compare with for example Haiti. Top deaths in there would be...natural disasters. It does not mean it would be a nice, safe place to live in.

Yeah, they got really quiet on that one after the initial claim. You would think Baghdad would be all over the credit for killing Saddam's last major deputy. I'm under the assumption that it was a mistaken identity and they don't want to admit it.

Which would also mean, if al Baghdadi is dead and so is his deputy, al Douri might actually be in the running for leadership....

Looks like we should be prepared for a possible disappointment regarding Baghdadi's being incapacitated or dead. The Pentagon and Iraqi government have different opinions on this. Dude's a Schrödinger's terrorist ...

It is very likely that the first thing ISIS did when they got there was make them kill someone so I wouldn't count on these girls to be that innocent.

I'm gonna go ahead and say that child soldiers forced to kill someone under threat of execution by terrorists still count as innocents.

Plus if they ran it's actually likely that they ran specifically because they were going to be made to do something like that and didn't want to.
