The Numbers War (Yu-Gi-Oh ZeXaL RP)

"Fah, fine, we will escape if you wish," Vlad said, "Japanski architects care too much for safety, I think we will find emergency exit down hall." He started to make his way down again, looking for the aforementioned emergency exit.

Just as Naoto was getting pumped for a duel, admittedly, he sighed, "...Retreat is good."

Why was I getting excited?

The emergency exit was, in fact, down the hall as Vlad had guessed. Unfortunately, it seemed a little jammed, like something was blocking the door from the other side. Nothing a little bit of good ol' fashioned elbow grease/brute force could solve of course.

Meanwhile, the heavy footsteps continued to echo down the house of mirrors. The noise didn't seem to be growing louder but it seemed to maintain the same volume. Of course, since you guys progressed further into the house, you can't see the way back to the interest due to some turns on the way to the exit.

Anabella pressed her palms against the door and gently exerted a force to feel for the blockage. She then moved over, and extending a hand, motioned for the big Russian man to take point.

"Ah, you think very good, kotenok," Vlad said.

With that, he charged at the door, rammed into it shoulder-first, hoping to knock it clear.

Aya stood there quivering in fear.

"H-Hurry up and break his door down -I don' lt wanna die...]...

The door, while initially resistant to the push, quickly gave up its defense and opened under the Russian assault. On the other side, a young man fell down, knocked aside by the force of the door.

"Oof!" was the exclamation of the youth, shaking his head to dislodge disorientation of being knocked on his ass. His long purple reverse mullet would've been bizarre if this wasn't par for the course in Heartland City. His bright blue trenchcoat got muddy from the cold wet ground.

No trace of Numbers could be found on this man. Which is odd because, y'know, all non-Number users came down with a bad case of the Mondays.

"No time to ask questions now," Vlad said to the others as he went through the door, attempting to fireman carry the young man with the purple mullet, "We can find butcher shop to hide in first.

"B-b-butcher shop?!?"

Aya runs through the door, grabbing Ichigo's wrist, and sprints past Vlad.

"Gottagetoutgottagetoutgottagetout!!!"

"Why a butcher shop?"

Ichigo asked as he and Aya ran past the Russian.

"Because they have big strong hooks," Vlad replied, while the rest of his existence was in that superpositional state where all possibilities emerging from his previous action were still possible.

Mac nodded to the odd boy that Vlad was now carrying, whilst running along with him.

"Sorry about this, but you don't want to stay behind. We can work out how to respond when we aren't about to get assaulted by Duel Ghouls."

"Whatever, lets get going and not stick around here."

He had no problems with staying in a place like that, though knowing their luck, there would be something horrible waiting.

The young man was furious, swinging his weak arms at the bulky Russian. "Unhand me you wicked brute! If you lay one more finger on me, you will be hearing from my agent and his attorneys!!"

The sound of the Duel Ghouls faded as the party made their way towards what appeared to have once been a major street. It was hard to tell what each store was but there wasn't an approaching threat so the party could take its time deciding...

...Or rather, that might've been the case if not for hearing the sound of a building collapse a little while to the east. At the same time, the Numbers would pick up the 'scent' of other Numbers fighting, in the same direction.

The Blackship orientates itself so it's pointing in the direction of the Numbers fighting. It groans a bit. Aya looks over in the same direction with a worried look on her face.

"That's really not good..."

Aya realizes she's still holding onto Ichigo's wrist. She quickly lets go of it and blushes a bit.

Ichigo realized she was still holding his wrist right before she let go of it. As she began to blush he did as well, and turns to face the direction the Numbers are at out of embarrassment.

"I take it we're gonna run over there now?"

Anabella could feel her adrenaline rising as she balled her fists and turned to the direction of the collapsed building. This was it, she will get her second Number there. Without a word, she took off running toward the direction of the Number duel.

JUDGEMENT....ONE TO JUDGE. JUDGE THEIR SINS......

Mac didn't even consciously think, just ran straight off toward the duel along with most (if not all) of the rest of the people in their group.

Aya reluctantly follows the others to where the Numbers are fighting. She is ready to duel!

"N-no I'm not!"

   We follow. To kill. To fill the emptiness. Fill. With. Numbers. Create justice...justify...   

Naoto groaned in pain. Whenever Heart Earth spoke, and that was not often, mercifully enough, his heart burned in his chest, and pain wove through him head to toes.

Even among the Numbers, Heart Earth was singularly strange. It barely had a personality, only seeming to exist to speak for Naoto's Id.

"Y-Yes, lets go find out what is going on over there, they certainly need our help now." With that, he went along with the others.

"Good luck finding lawyer here," Vlad said as he pressed firmly on the young man to keep him still - the risk of breaking his back if he wrestled too much would hopefully help keep him balanced on his shoulders. "You have until I reach over there to explain, and then I decide whether you are better use against zombies as battering ram or informant."

He started to run "over there", where all of the others were heading.

As they grew closer, the Numbers' 'scent' grew fainter; it would seem the battle had drawn to a close.

"I'll have you know I am Kody Keys, of the famous Keys family! Together with my sister and brother, we are the stars of the hit dueling themed sci-fi detective show 'The Key to the Heart of the Cards'!" The man sighed, no longer bothering to fight his losing battle against the Russian's grip. "Honestly, you lot of scoundrels are probably the only ones around here who don't know it! I bet if you talked to those glassy-eyed folk, even they could helpfully inform you of our wide-spread fanbase!"

By the time Kody had finished his little tantrum you arrived at what your Numbers could determine as the central location for the 'scent' mere moments ago. A woman lay on the ground writhing in soundless agony, as the parasites quickly went to work, beginning to assert dominance over her. Further along, what appeared to be a knight was walking away, his long flowing pink hair giving him a distinctive effeminate flair. His armour was jet black but had many long strings of various kinds of petals waving out behind him.

Aya gaped at the woman writhing in pain.

I-I don't want that to happen to me...

She looked at the knight who was walking away. Something in her clicked and she found herself yelling at him/her.

"H-hey y-you! Wha-what's the bid idea!"

Oh god what are you getting yourself into...

Anabella stepped in immediately.

"Stop!" She cried as she stepped forward. "I know you hold a Number, so I'm sure you know what comes next."

She held up her Duel Disk and stared at the man, waiting for him to respond to her challenge.

Mac growled and stepped forward. He could feel Judge Buster flowing into him, throwing it's desires behind his personality. He instinctively tried to fight it, but to no avail.

"Who do you think you are, to do this sort of thing to a person? You leave them unjudged, unhelped along the path! You have no right to appoint yourself the judge and leave such an incomplete sentence! What have you to say for yourself?"
