This is a crossover RP, so I do prefer characters from existing media. Do you have any alternative characters?

I'm pretty are among us few to know about the glory that is Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri, Bean. So do me a solid and accept this!

  • Name: Asa Wright, Aka "Datajack Sinder Roze"

  • Age: 34

  • Species: Homo sapiens sapiens

  • Appearance: Height - 5'9

  • Role: Communications Officer

  • Personality:

    • Asa Wright, or "Sinder Roze", as she used to refer to herself, is a somewhat conflicted individual. She loves the work of building and maintaining information structures, but she still occasionally misses the excitement that comes from attacking such structures. In fact, she never considered herself a true anarchist, but considered herself an archetypal Trickster. In her criminal career, she derived great satisfaction from causing maximum disruption with a minimum of effort.

    • Now that Asa Wright is on board the E.A Einstein, she has no choice but to refrain from her past criminal behavior. Despite this, she still hasn't grown out of making caustic observations about ongoing events, and she certainly hasn't abandoned her love of tricks and practical jokes. Wright considers anyone who can put up with her behavior to be a friend.

  • Skills:

    • Asa has a long history of participating in protesting and occupying political spaces: She has fought and evaded heavily armed anti-riot police many times, giving her experience in stressful physical situations.

    • Asa is an accomplished programmer and a notorious computer cracker, and has lifelong experience with computers and networks.

  • Bio:

    • Asa Wright was born in the West Indies in 2300, the daughter of two faculty members of the University of Trinidad. Her childhood was stable and unexceptional.

    • When she approached adolescence, she revealed the love of excitement and anarchy that would be typical of her later career. By her early teens, she was using social media and hacktivism to harass political figures, business leaders, and peace officers. In her early adulthood, she moved on to organizing protests, occupying public spaces and erecting tent cities, and other public disturbances in the outside world, slowly gaining infamy across the Caribbean and the US as "Sinder Roze".

    • Under her "Sinder Roze" handle, Asa Wright made a number of high-profile "burns," stealing mid-level assets from the Earth Alliance, earning herself a place in Interpol's most-wanted list of computer crackers.

    • Investigators traced "Sinder Roze", finally catching up with her after a series of stock market hackings in 2333. As it turned out, Asa Wright had nothing to do with the highly personalized cracks into world financial institutions. In the hysteria of the time, however, she was convicted and faced severe penalties. The International Cybercrimes Tribunal offered her clemency if she renounced the unethical use of computers and lend her talents to the growing E.A Einstein project.

    • Asa eventually volunteered to join the mission herself after working on some of the ship's system architecture, in exchange for the sealing of the records of all records of her past criminal activity. This precipitated a lengthy political struggle with several ranking officers among the Earth Alliance, who considered Asa Wright to be a dangerous criminal. In the end, the opposing officers were overruled, and Asa Wright was allowed to join the Einstein crew, as part off the communications staff.

Doesn't matter. That list is just of some of the aliens in the TBG universe.

HOKAY LETS GO

Name: Garrus Vakarian

Age: It's not stated, but let's say 28

Species: Turian

Appearance: Shabam

Role: This depends on if the Einstein has weapons, because in that case, I'd say Weapons Engineer. If not, then just Officer.

Personality: (oh god i'm so bad at explaining this) Garrus is a calm, if a bit snarky, guy. He is, however, a little bit bitter over his former occupation and past failings, and strives to fix that any way he can. In battle, he becomes much more BloodKnightish, commonly dropping one-liners and such. (im sorry if this is inadequate i'm not good at describing personalities)

Skills: Calibration (to an almost infamous extent), Leadership, Firearms.

Powers and Abilities: Garrus is a user of special technology, which allows him to disrupt enemy shields/hit them with an electric pulse, fire a powerful shot which can fling some targets, give himself (and everyone else if need be) armor piercing rounds, and fire proximity mines.

Bio: Garrus Vakarian: Officer of the Earth Alliance, and hailing from the Turian Homeworld, Palaven. Garrus, being bitter about his job, decided to sign up for the Einstein. Being an expert at all sorts of weaponry, the Einstein decided to bring him abroad (unless this bio is rejected). However, he does have one other goal in mind. Another alien, Doctor Saleon, escaped from him and his squad with hostages, which led to his resentment of the Earth Alliance. He joins the Einstein with these thoughts in mind: Revenge, and a better fucking job.

Other info: Garrus, being a Turian, is Dextro-Amino DNA, meaning that he can only eat foods that contain Dextro-Amino Acids, not Levi-Amino Acids (i think that's what their called i suck at biology ;_;). Best case scenario, if he eats human food, his system will just ignore it, and he'll get no nutritional value. Worst case scenario, severe allergic reaction leading to heart attacks happen. Thankfully, he has packed his own food, so he'll be okay for a while.

If there's anything I need to fix, just tell me.

Great to hear that!

...just let me think through a character, because this might prove to be difficult for me. :/ Can I ask as a heads-up though: would a being that's technically undead be an able member of the crew, provided a sensible explanation for such state of things is presented?

EDIT: Alright, I think I have something.

  • Name: Vivian Carter. She insists on simply Vi.
  • Age: 36
  • Species: Human
  • Appearance: On a small break.
  • Role: Engineer Officer/Head Mechanic(if applicable)
  • Personality: Vi's the kind of person who isn't afraid to say what she thinks. If something stinks or doesn't strike her fancy, she'll let you know it. She lives to enjoy simple pleasures of life such as good food, thrills, laughs and so on and so forth. Enjoys fighting no less than tinkering with machines and if there's a brawl, she's likely to be in it fists-first. All of these traits make up a good facade of a rebellious free spirit who gives not a single damn about orders or authority, but there's more than that. Vi actually does have a deep - if begrudging sometimes - respect towards her superiors, no smaller than that to everyone who manages to earn her trust. If you, however, betray or abandon those in need, she will find you. God willing, you won't be leaving in one piece. All in all, she's the giant fat red heart of the crew, always buzzing and keeping folks' morale high with her presence.
  • Skills:
    • Jury-rigging: While maybe lacking in terms of orthodox engineering, Vi can and will be creative with her machines. It might look like it's about to explode, but it will hold for a while - or at least long enough for someone more competent to help her fix the problem the normal way.
    • Expert Engineering: That being said, she's highly capable of working out things the more standardized way, although her forte seems to be lying somewhere in engines and such parts rather than smaller, more delicate contraptions.
    • Street Fighter: Spending her whole youth in slums, Vi knows every trick in a book to tip a fight in her favor. She usually doesn't need to resort to dirty tactics, but if push comes to shove regarding her or - more importantly, her folks - she can and will bite your nose off and follow up with a blank to the crotch.
    • Brawler: Like stated, Vi rarely needs to resort to dirty tricks on account to her natural talent for punching people. She might not be technical, but she has enough experience, raw strength and durability to handle her own even against multiple opponents at once in a fist-fight. With her weapons on it's even more of a sight to behold.
  • Abilities & Powers:
    • Superhuman: Through lots of training and experience Vi has achieved a body that peaks what a non-enhanced human is capable of. Strong, durable and nimble, she is even able to ignore small-arms' fire as if it was nothing. Naturally, it's a good idea to get her a doctor once adrenaline wears off.
  • Bio:
    • Vi has always been a street rat. Born to an unknown mother and father, she was adopted by a thief living deep in the slums of a human space colony best known as Piltover. Since then, her life was a never-ending cat and mouse chase against authorities as she stole what she needed for her and her adoptive father to survive. It's never been easy and sometimes pickpocketing someone just wasn't possible, so she started using force. Wasn't always easy, but as she grew and trained, punching people became easier and... actually brought her satisfaction.
    • After small pickpockets she began going after bigger prizes such as technology of various kinds. Stealing, breaking down and then selling all of that stuff on black market not only brought her small family some increasing cash, it also taught her how to tinker with machines which soon turned out to be another love of hers. Breaking down stuff and then turning it into something flashy or awesome was what she liked the most, though she wasn't above, say, making a small robo-bird to slip into nearby orphanage's mailbox as a gift from generous anonymous. Hey, at least she had someone to turn into.
    • As she grew older, ambitions of her thief-father were also growing. At the age of twelve, he and father planned to rob a gold mine using snatched technology. Everything was going smoothly until an accidental ricochet set off an explosion that started burying alive everyone inside. The first thing her "father" did was to push her aside and bolt for the exit, leaving her torn apart and disillusioned with matters of trust. She didn't just wait to be killed, however. There were miners to save and once she saw a wrecked mining bot she knew exactly what to do: Vi got hold of bot's giant fists and on a whim made them into impromptu king-sized power gauntlets. With their help, she managed to free the miners locked in a stone trap before making way for them, using her new weapon as a breakthrough and a cover to halt any debris.
    • One of the two turning points in Vi's life it was. Once out of mine, she quickly reached her now ex-home, packed her things and left, insensitive to her father's apologetic pleas and cold inside. From that day she fully embraced the slums as her home, moving from place to place, doing this and that. While she was a thief, she now stole only from other thieves. The trustworthy gauntlets she endlessly modified and polished helped her survive and, for lack of a better term, were her only friends back in that time.
    • At age of twenty two she was finally apprehended by Piltover's sheriff who proposed a rather unusual deal: a complete amnesty for all crimes committed and a work in Piltover's Police Department as an independent agent under sheriff's loose jurisdiction. Vi couldn't help but laugh. A job that would let her smack down thief scum similar to her traitorous father with no repercussions from the law itself? Truly, fate smiles upon the most unlikely of people. She accepted without a second thought. Alongside her new partner she continued to decrease Piltover's crime rate through next decade.
    • Eventually, she left Piltover and went on Earth(although she still keeps in touch with her friends back there), mostly curious and looking for a challenge: no criminal on her home planet was capable enough to keep her occupied for a longer than a few hours. Her original intention was to take a wild trip to a warzone or two, but ultimately she decided to focus on something less trouble-inducing such as machinery. Adopting the name of Vivian Carter she lived four next years on Earth as a mechanic fixing the most unusual errors and engineering mistakes.
    • Vi had heard about Einstein relatively lately, but it almost immediately caught her immediate attention. To venture into uncharted unexplored deep space? Fixing the most advanced engines known to man while exploring the unexplored, possibly also to be able to smack down an eldritchy horror or two? Almost too good to be true. Packing all of her things once again - her trusty gauntlets, now christened Vice and Violence included - she set off to fill in a petition for joining almost immediately. Look out, deep space, here comes the punchline!
  • Other:
    • Her hair is obviously dyed. She's actually dark blond.
    • Has her gauntlets with her. They usually lie dormant in her quarters, awaiting a big event. For smaller scraps she keeps a pair of electro-brass knuckles with her all the time(and actually growing a little fond of them, naming them Victory and Vigor respectively).
      • It should be noted that despite their archaic and robust appearance Vice and Violence employ some advanced technology such as mini-gravity reducers, making them way lighter than they appear, allowing Vi to swing them like it's going out of style.
    • Incredibly hard to get inebriated, but once she is... it's advised to avoid her.
    • Favorite food: strawberry-flavored lollipops.
    • She has nicknames for everyone.

Well, there it is. Hope it's all well and stuff.

I see that we're kinda lacking in the Medical department. I'm thinking of signing up as a second character, if that's alright. It might take me a bit to find a good one though, and may involve cryo freezing.
