Does anyone still play this on PC? I'm a late arrival and I just finished my first character to 30.
It's been over a month, and I reckon barely anyone here still plays The Division regularly, but I think this is worth a look:
Last Stand and Survival have been delayed, with Massive focusing on bug fixes and game balance for the next big patch. I have to admit that my desire to buy the game was dampened somewhat when I saw that the endgame gameplay since 1.2 either involved getting subject to a Curb-Stomp Battle in the Dark Zone courtesy of a Tanktician or dumping several magazines into bots capable of downing you with a handful of hits.
Massive is inviting players to visit their studio to provide feedback on the game and upcoming changes to it. Or, at least, were, since the registration form is now closed.
The PC platform is getting a public test server in "the near future" as well.
Anyone got New York Collapse? I own it. Pretty interesting read. Some of the plot threads in it aren't followed up ingame for the time being though.

I have disagreed with her a lot, but comparing her to republicans and propagandists of dictatorships is really low. - An idiotI stopped playing a while ago honestly. Things just became too tedious and it's impossible for me to advance up the loot ladder further.
I've been keeping an eye on this 1.4 update though. Supposedly it's gonna be an overhaul on par with Loot 2.0 or The Taken King. This game really needs it bad, this is it's last shot.
Oh really when?Latest State of the Game. Posting due to insights into 1.4 - looks like some major changes are coming.
I have disagreed with her a lot, but comparing her to republicans and propagandists of dictatorships is really low. - An idiotLatest update on patch 1.4 if you're interested.

and, direct from Ubi, the patch notes so far:

I really do hope this works out. I've heard the full patch notes are 21 pages long.
Oh really when?TL:DR for the patch notes - "See that game? Sod that game - here's a new one!"
The big question before I even consider it.
Did they lower the TTK so the enemies dont feel like giant sponges.
Yes they did, that and the loot were the two biggest things they fixed.
From what little I've seen from the PTS footage it looks pretty good now.
Oh really when? And boy they weren't kidding when they said they were long. I still haven't read through them all yet but everything is looking pretty good so far.
Oh really when?Video explaining the most relevant parts of the patch notes.
I have disagreed with her a lot, but comparing her to republicans and propagandists of dictatorships is really low. - An idiotThere's another Elite Task Force being formed next year. Instead of Massive HQ in Malmo, Sweden, it's now at Red Storm Studios' offices in Morrisville, North Carolina.
I have disagreed with her a lot, but comparing her to republicans and propagandists of dictatorships is really low. - An idiotThere's nothing to eat in Morrisville, why would they have an office there?
Oh really when? The Survival DLC is officially out for Playstation now. I've failed on both of my runs but I'm having an awesome time.
I love shifting around for parts to craft with and having to manage food and water and meds and heat.
Oh really when?Ok how has the patch held up? I haven waiting on the sidelines for stuff to finish coming out and new patches to go through.
If it looks like it might need a little more time I will just wait for Ghost Recon: Wildlands and then come back to it later.
Who watches the watchmen?I think it's held up pretty great. DZ is still a shithole if you're playing alone but apart from that I think things are doing pretty good.
What was the build when you last played if you remember?
Oh really when?Everywhere I look online I keep getting different answers, so I'm asking here: Is this game subscription or B 2 P? I've checked out the demo and I like what I see so far.
I'm Charlie Owens, good night and good luck. PSNID: CEOIII 1117B2P, with additional content available for purchase.
I have disagreed with her a lot, but comparing her to republicans and propagandists of dictatorships is really low. - An idiotIt's got your bog standard game+seasonpass/DLC purchasing model that you'd find in any other game these days.
Oh really when? And considering how long this game's been out, the smart move would probably be to wait for a GOTY edition.
I'm Charlie Owens, good night and good luck. PSNID: CEOIII 1117That might be a while. There's strong rumors of a second wave of DLC and content coming.
Oh really when?So.
5 days after my last post in this thread, I got The Division on the cheap at Game Stop.
About 2 hours ago, me and some random shot down Bliss' chopper. And I went into Chelsea and found what Keener wanted me to find.
Whoa.
So.
NY is slowly recovering, the leaders of the major headaches are dead, and a cure is coming. YAY!
But we still have that dickbag Keener out there, and he's probably got a gun to Vitaly's head, forcing him to use Amherst's notes to make something that makes green poison look like rockin pneumonia and the boogie woogie flu. Yikes.
Oh, and the rikers blew up a quarantine center, but I got DLC to buy if I want to know what that's about.
So I guess my question is, speaking as someone who does NOT PVP, at all, ever, because I suck at it, should I bother with the DLC? Survival does not sound like fun (the possibility of freezing to death during a shootout? PASS.) but the aforementioned quarantine center explosion has me intrigued.

I'm Charlie Owens, good night and good luck. PSNID: CEOIII 1117The quarantine center explosion is for the Underground DLC. Easily the best of the lot. It's a random dungeon generator with loot and modifiers and lots of other good stuff. I have a lot of fun there. No PVP whatsoever.
Survival is actually lots of fun. You can play a PVE version which is what I do. Other players exist in the game world and can take loot and supplies if you don't get to it first but nobody can hurt each other.
Last Stand adds a proper PVP mode with objectives and teams and so on. You don't risk any gear like in the Dark Zone and it's kinda fun but eh, I don't play it much.
Oh really when?Kinda just noticed there's a mission marker in the northernmost dark zone. Is that Keener? I will risk PVP if it means my foot in his turncoat ass.

And the full patch and DLC notes for tomorrow
Underground appears to be a randomized dungeon generator that rewards gear. Which sounds an absolutely incredible addition for solo or PVE players who don't wanna venture the darkzone to get loot.
With it comes update 1.3 which rebalances all the weapons and gear. All sounds good to me.
Or it would if Underground wasn't a 30 day exclusive for Xbox players and 1.3 was delayed for PS 4 users.
