oh God.They wised up and got the perfect composer for this. Now I have to get this console.
I love that DK Island Swing arrangement. Love it, man.
<rimshot>
So, a mysterious fourth character, eh? Can anyone say... Cranky Kong Country?

"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.Does no one remember Eveline Novakovic (nee Fischer)? She's a damn good composer, too.
Please help out our The History Of Video Games page.Yeah, her, Robin Beanland and Dave Wise are pretty much the core of Rare's composition team, but Wise was the main one responsible for two, so I'm glad he's working on it.
When the inevitable third game comes around, by all means bring Ms. Fisher in.
I'm sad at the lack of Kremlings. They really need to come back. But on the plus side it's good to see Dixie Kong again.
I just hope the fourth character isn't Kiddy.
I wonder if you'd be able to have a Diddy/Dixie team in this game?
nyway, just awe-inspiring. This is looking even better than Returns. Water levels, Dixie, interesting enemy group...
I have a message from another time...@Hashil: You forget Grant Kirkhope, who composed for Banjo Kazooie as well as the Banjo Kazooie knockoff with DK characters (aka Donkey Kong 64).
Please help out our The History Of Video Games page.I've heard the theory that the mysterious fourth character is King K. Rool, and the reason the kremlings are gone is that the penguins overthrew them.
That would be pretty awesome if it comes true.
Fight. Struggle. Endure. Suffer. LIVE.Oh right. Kirkhope. I don't care for his music so I didn't list him, and he's only worked on one Donkey Kong game, beside.
Kirkhope is still pretty awesome, even if his style is opposite of David Wise.
Please help out our The History Of Video Games page.Okay, so looking at the demos it seems world one is swamp and world two is savannah. I saw Ice world in the trailer as well. Did anyone else catch different world types?
They're all different islands, probably, since the Kongs do need to trek back to DK Island after being kicked out.
Please help out our The History Of Video Games page.It says there's 5 islands. Does that mean only 5 worlds? I hope not.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!Where'd you get this from?
The Nintendo Direct explanation about the game mentioned it.
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.Did I just hear a remix of this?

I saw the E3 trailer again, and I swear I can hear the synthesized "bah" from the NSMB series.
Please help out our The History Of Video Games page.Hold up a second. You have three hearts?
Oh my. I wonder just how much more difficul the game is to compensate for that.
I mean, Returns had two hearts instead of the original trio's one, and was hard enough to require that extra health.
I have a message from another time...The 3DS version adds an easy mode that gives you three hearts. I wouldn't be surprised if the same thing is in effect here.
Yep. The trailer shows Donkey Kong with two hearts.
I know I'm a bit late to the party(I've had surgery), but YES. DIXIE KONG. YES. VIKINGS. YES. DAVID WISE. YESSSSSSS.
Now to buy a Wii-U.
So there's an unknown fourth playable character. Who could it be?
And the Developer Direct
