Back in MY DAY, we didn't need these fancy message boards; we got along just fine with bulletin boards.
Sorry, just wanted to get the obvious Cranky Kong out of the way.
Of course, don't you know anything about ALCHEMY?!- Twin clones of Ivan the GreatI'm gonna be getting Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D in a few days. I've heard it's great. I loved the original Donkey Kong Country, and I hear it's even better. The new enemies (Tikis) look awesome. It's kind of sad there's no Kremlings in the game though. :S
I don't care to get the 3D game, I'm content with the Wii version.
I hope Retro works on a sequel game, though.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique! That plays more like the original, I agree.
The co-op could still be there too, just two things DK and dk will just play differently like dk being lighter, faster, with Jetpack&Pop gun and DK being heavier, slightly slower, with ground pound and he can act like a barrel(The weight thing has nothing to do with jump height though)(Also This applies to both single and multiplayer), second dk should not be able to get on DK's back in single player(only co-op if one player has to be away for a few min, sec, hours)in returns dk was just a power up in that game(single player wise)and I'm pretty sure a lot of people would've liked to play as him(if M.p. couldn't be done)and that wasn't fair to the players of old.
Would that be good to the players of old.
YO. Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie.I'd like a Returns 2 if for nothing but a remixed DKC 2 soundtrack.
Just got Donkey Kong Returns 3D. The title music...OMG nostalgasm!
I'd love to hear Stickerbrush Symphony Returns.
Eating a Vanilluxe will give you frostbite.I'm looking forward to Snakey Chantey returns, myself.
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.Damn this game is hard. D:
Mining Melancholy Returns.
Progressive freaking soundtrack, that one.
I heard a lady listening to Stickerbush Symphony on her phone about a year ago in an office. She had no idea it was video game music.
It gets worse. So much worse.
^^^ Have you gotten to the mine cart world yet?

"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain. If they made a second game, I've found the best world layout to include most of the songs from DKC 2 (as well as a few missed ones from DKC 1) as well as provide nice level variety would be...
1. Jungle again*
2. Ship*
3. Some sky-themed area similar to the bonus level from Returns in appearance. Emphasis on Rocket Barrel stages.*
4. Haunted woods*
5. Swamp*
6. Cavern*
7. Icy mountain*
8. Castle*
9. Brambles. An entire world of Stickerbrush Symphony levels.
Can't find a spot for Disco Train, though.

You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!Add a roller coaster to the sky-themed world and you're good.
I was thinking Rocket Barrels for the Jungle, several for the Sky akin to DKCR's Cave being Mine Carts, one for the Woods, and one for the Castle (And one for the bonus world maybe).
For Minecarts, one for the Ship, one for the Swamp, one for the Cavern, and one for the Glacier.
Of course, all this is irrelevant now that we've got an actual sequel confirmed.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!^ With Vikings, no less. Yarr... wait, that's pirates. What do vikings say?
I'm so happy. So, so happy.
Now I have two pivotal reasons to get a Wii U. Sonic and DK - the two platformers I practically grew up on. And Dixie's even back - I wonder if we really will get that DKC 2 music!

"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.Vikings also go YAR!
Of course, don't you know anything about ALCHEMY?!- Twin clones of Ivan the GreatI'd LOVE DKC2 remixes to be in.
Also, when will the Kremlings make a comeback? In a game or several from now?
Please help out our The History Of Video Games page.Yeah, I was a bit disappointed when I saw they're still not going back to Kremlings with the new DK. :C I mean, bringing new stuff in is awesome and I like the new enemies in Returns (not sure about TF, didn't really see much), but...It'd be incredibly nostalgic. Plus they're really cool enemies.

Fantastic Supreme Überkaiser Emperor Folt of The Infinity and Beyond" ... "The First"!Awesome. So awesome.
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.Great news right there. Now if only Retro could hire the rest of Nintendo-era Rare's ex-employees.

Eh.They could work with Crytek UK, which is part of the Nintendo Rare team.

Because there was no thread for this yet, just specific threads in anticipation of DKCR.
Talk about all manner of Donkey Kong games here, from Donkey Kong Country to Donkey Konga to Donkey Kong 64 to even DK Jr. Math.
