Oooh! I've never heard that version - I love it! That's not the studio version they have for sale on itunes (which is itself not the film version, which is my favorite by far).

I was fairly certain Crosby never recorded a studio version of the song, but I was wrong...

Well, it's this version at least. There's also a version by Thurl Ravenscroft as well.

Looking it up a little more the one you posted was live (but cut, when posted), which is really awesome.

Will Vinton has just died, so I feel like I should post this as a tribute. What great claymation...

So -

On the occasion of their 25th anniversaries, both Hocus Pocus and The Nightmare Before Christmas will not only be played to death on Freeform but given theatrical re-releases...

I kind of think they're overdoing it, myself.

Nightmare has gotten theatrical re-releases before. I think Disney did one for the 20th anniversary.

I'd like to see the movie in the theater, so I have no issues with this.

So does it also get released on Christmas, or is it solely a Halloween movie when it shows in theaters?

It's a christmas movie

Also,it amuses me to no end that original meaning of Christmas is in no way mentioned but the overly commercialised aspect is,it's basically like How the Grinch Stole Christmas with skeletons

New theme music also a box

Nope, it is set between Halloween and Christmas and has a message of being thankful for what you have. It's a thanksgiving movie.

Henry Selick has said that The Nightmare Before Christmas is a Halloween movie.

(Myself, I think it works best when you watch it on Halloween night, when you've eaten all the candy and the fun's over, and Christmas is on the way...)

11483: Yes, they've released Nightmare many times before, but this is the first time they've done it for Hocus Pocus. I could be wrong, though.

How anyone got that it's a Thanksgiving movie, I have no idea, except for one: people like to watch the movie on Thanksgiving as a compromise between the two featured holidays.

With Hocus Pocus suddenly trending this year, its only a matter of time before a trailer for a reboot becomes a thing.

I heard one was in the works, but then again, that was last year. I haven't heard anything about it since.

(Bette Midler called the idea "cheap". I'm inclined to agree.)

I wasn't quite serious btw. Personally I find the discussion a little bit useless. You can watch it whenever you want and it fits into every day between Halloween and Christmas.

Hocus Pocus did get a sequel in the form of a novel, so there's that.

The beginning is "Lawrence of Arabia" as shit. I'm cool with the vibe they're going for, even though I don't think a live action Aladdin needed to exist.

A question that's been on my mind for a while about the Cobra Bubbles character from Lilo & Stitch. Did he know that Stitch was an alien all along since we later on find out he did know aliens existed?

Having just watched it recently, I'm in the camp that says that the Headless Horseman was in fact a ghost. No human alive can laugh like that. surprised
