Seriously? Jody Houser just started writing it (and in the middle of a crossover, too).
Why does DC cancel the books that have TV shows, too? Green Arrow was cancelled when Arrow was on the air, Supergirl didn't even have a book when the show started and then it got a book, was cancelled, brought back, and now cancelled again, and DC has failed utterly to do anything with the Legends of Tomorrow name except some random anthology. (Of course, making a recursive adaptation of Legends of Tomorrow would require DC to make a comic that was fun and they don't want to do that, now do they?)
Hell, now is the perfect time for them to bring back the Batwoman comic, but they aren't doing that either. The only CW DC show that has an ongoing comic now is The Flash.
Clark meets Young Justice and Connor in the preview for Action Comics#1020.
Tim makes mention of Final Crisis here.
The Leviathan Dawn preview shows how Steve Trevor escaped prison during Miracle Monday, the day Clark revealed himself to the world.
I can't believe they call that day Miracle Monday.
No, wait, I can believe because it makes almost perfect sense.
I paid homage to the same day in a TMNT fanfic back in 2013, only I called it "Magic Monday", because I'm also a hack
Post-Doomsday Clock continuity kicks in for the Bendis era. Johnathan and Martha are back, and there's already a convenient solution to keeping them and the farm safe from attack in the wake of the identity reveal
I mean, you say "convenient," but in this timeline, Superman probably thought of his parents before revealing his identity and made sure they were protected.
Also, I love how everyone is all "Yeah, we were already getting attacked, but knowing you're Superman actually makes us feel safer." Because...it's true. Like, Lois Lane isn't suddenly going to be in more danger now that everyone knows her husband is Superman...because now everyone knows her husband is Superman.

How would that put them in danger anyway? If a stupid crook messes with any of Clark's friends, they would be dealing with an angry Kryptonian. Not a good plan.
Yeah, the preview shows Firefly approaching the Daily Planet and then just...turning around and flying away, probably because he realized how stupid it would be to attack it.
Anyone who would attack Clark’s family and friends after finding out he’s Superman was already not scared of him I’d reckon.
And vastly underestimate what an angry Superman would do for that matter.

One Strip! One Strip!Oh, they would survive the experience, but they might wonder if Batman had gotten super powers and changed costumes. Though, there was that time Maxwell Lord made Superman think that he(Max) had murdered Lois(not really) and Supes merely intended to arrest him and grieve, after imagining killing the villain but not really. Max Lord later committed suicide.
You're thinking of Manchester Black.
That is indeed Black.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Oops, the illusion thing had me mix the two up. Max was the one Diana had to kill in self defense, right? Don't know why she got so much grief over that. And why do these characters get so much angst? Can't they have a few more breather issues where the world isn't at stake and villains aren't trying to murder Clark and his friends? Why did Clark angst so much about being an orphan in the silver age? Though, that version ended up losing both sets of parents. That would not be fun.
The Wonder Woman think was them going fanatical with the Thou Shall Not Kill policy.
Wake me up at your own risk. The Wonder Woman thing was less Diana killing him (even though Clark disapproved of that because, well, he's Clark), but also the fact that Max was able to broadcast his murder (and only the murder part, not the actual context) around the world, causing Wonder Woman a great deal of trouble. She even went on trial for it.
yeah max set it up so only her killing him was shown and not him mind controlling superman getting ready to cause harm
Clark and Bruce had seen Diana kill before. In fact, she decapitated Medusa on live television a year before the Max Lord incident and no one, not even Bruce and Clark, said a word of protest. As one of Max's spies said, "Medusa had snakes for hair, anyone could see she was a monster". Despite Diana having two witnesses who knew why she killed Max, they refused to testify on her behalf. Of course, it was equally stupid of Diana not to release the actual footage of Max mind controlling Clark that she had.
That whole period was pretty bad for Wonder Woman. The Maxwell Lord situation derailed Greg Rucka's excellent run and Wonder Woman is one of the characters that Geoff Johns just doesn't get considering that he wrote her as a holier than thou hypocrite in Infinite Crisis.
klallaAnd then came Amazons Attack.
On the whole, not her finest hour.
Wake me up at your own risk.Johns is interesting. He gets Superman and Batman was portrayed surprisingly well in Doomsday Clock (he’s the guy who helped Reggie out of his Heroic BSoD). But all writers have characters they don’t get
Everyone has their weakpoints.
No writer is perfect.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Yep. The trick is making sure the right writer goes to comic that'll do the best at.
"That's right mortal. By channeling my divine rage into power, I have forged a new instrument in which to destroy you."Superman: Villains was more eventuful than Heroes
1. Jodie Houser's Supergirl story was moved to this book rather than Heroes because It still deals with an infected Kara, who heads off to Smallville, the story will pick up further in her own book
2. Lois exposes the current owner of the Daily Planet as the head of the Invisible Mafia
3. Toyman turns babyface and is recruited by Checkmate to fight Leviathan
And in an interesting retcon
4. Mongol Is revealed to be the son of a previous Mongol that knew and fought Supperman, who then kills his father and takes his place. Turns out the whole of Mongol's family is made of fathers and sons with the same name who slay each other in succession

Speaking of Supergirl, her comic is ending in May
