My view on the Superman no kill rule was that it is to avoid the old idiom of "absolute power corrupts absolutely". He has an enormous amount of power, so makes a set guideline of what he can and can't use his power for so it doesn't corrupt him

Bendis ruins the single best thing to happen to the Superman mythos in 50 years, quel surprise.

Can't wait for this to be magic'd away.

I don't see a point to Zaar. He does not have a good design and I feel anything he does could just as easily be filled by another Alien Warlord type like Mongul or Despero.

Because Bendis isn't concerned with being a good writer, he just wants to Leave His Mark.

So his new OC villain isn't just a bad guy, he's the biggest most important bad guy in Superman lore, and Kandor gets destroyed because it's a popular fixture in the mythos and Jon gets derailed despite the fact that people love Jon the way he is because Bendis thinks he's still at Marvel and everything he shits out is ICONIC.

Lois went off with Jon to travel the galaxy and look after him. She's going to write a book about it. Clark switches back to the trunks because he gave Lois his rebirth outfit to wear so aliens recognize the symbol and befriend her

* If Lois is writing a book on this stuff, wouldn't this run the risk of exposing Clark's identity?

* so can the suit change size now? Because that's the only Lois will be able to wear it without looking stupid?

* why give the Rebirth outfit to Lois?

nobody said that it had to be marketed as a nonfiction book, and superman gave her the costume to help protect her in space

Interview with Bendis

It appears the Superman title will be a follow-up to Man of Steel, but Action Comics will appear to take place a bit in the future, with Lois back already back with a lot to tell, and Jon joining them later to tell everyone how "crazy" Jor-El is. Bendis also says a lot of cool cosmic stuff happens because of the Super Family's choices

Bendis confirmed on the Word Baloon podcast that Action Comics 1004 will be a "very special issue" for Lois and Clark, that it's his statement on the relationship, that it's a "positive one" and that he "stands by it"

It's a "Divorced Ever After" issue isn't it?

On another note, Lois is a pretty old name(One of my grandmothers was named Lois and was born around 100 years ago). Maybe Lois Lane is named after her grandmother at this point?

Since the Source Wall is broken, does that mean Superboy-Prime could possible be freed? The Source Wall does preserve everything that gets stuck there, and things like him destroying Earth 15 are still in effect, so he probably still exists. And likely pissed off beyond belief that the writers brought him back when they said they were done with him
