Eyes open, Dreamers. Nora Night has stories to tell and gifts to share.....if we earn them.
I'm Charlie Owens, good night and good luck. PSNID: CEOIII 1117So I build myself a Phaedra just as a general Heavy Weapon for your average day to day use...and its fucking fun to just go all gattling gun on some Grineer in a Defense mission
"You can reply to this Message!"Hey Prany my mang, some wraith and vandal variants to make noticable improvements to the predecessors!
Regular ignis is an ok weapon but mostly good for status. Ignis Wraith? Goddamn crit/status hybrid killing machine. Whether it's heat/corrosive for infested or grineer or gas for corpus it gets the job well done. Hold down the trigger and feel like a pyromaniac.
Same goes for supra vandal. Regular supra isn't shabby but its vandal variant allows for better crit potential and has the single largest magazine size in entire game.
As for Phaedra... is getting arch weapon components still a drag? I'm sticking with my Grattler for as long as this game goes.
So I just fought the Wolf. And geezus is he one hardcore motherfucker! I love him!
Am I doing this wrong? As far as I can tell, the only thing in the new update is the alert replacement. Which is fun, but I've gotten the first two reward tiers and I haven't gotten any extra story, or any fights with the Wolf.
The Wolf seems to be a random pop up like the Stalker.
Is there a trick to the Wolf? We wailed on him for 3 rounds of a defense mission and he still lived
"You can reply to this Message!"Err, not as far as I can tell. He has a ton of armor, and headshots do double damage. He also has innate damage reduction, I think, since my critical catchmoon is only doing, like, 2k damage on him. Operator might as well be plinking peanuts at him. He's also immune to status, and can't be targeted by Mesa (yay).
Yeah, guessed the Status thing when I unloaded 2000 Viral Bullets from my Phaedra into him while my Squadmate fired their Ignis Wraith up.
"You can reply to this Message!"Well, I can safely say Wolf is a pushover when you are Rage Kitty. I shredded him in like 10-20 seconds. Though I think my space kitty did remove all his armor too, so that might have sped things along.

Click Click Boom BoomYeah, I figured that's gonna work.
That or just stab until my Combo Crit Venkat Prime hits four digits.
"You can reply to this Message!"I so regret taking a break from this game because if I knew there would be umbral formas...
GODDAMN IT. Now I'm seriously thinking putting my nutsack in a cheese sandwich griller.
you could just come back :P
"Coffee! Coffeecoffeecoffee! Coffee! Not as strong as Meth-amphetamine, but it lets you keep your teeth!"I guess... but it'd take me hours to redownload Warframe. I uninstalled it specifically because I found the grind so damn tedious and not enjoyable anymore I just wanted months long cooldown. Oh well I can wait.
When I do come back, Oberon's gonna get the deluxe umbral treatment, then Nidus next. But shoite man that'll take several months because if I read right you could get Umbral Forma once a month...? Actually I don't care if it's one per month. Makes it all more sweeter when you finalize your umbral builds! And I got 3 frames I want to umbrafy real good, two which I mentioned already and third is Chroma P.

Umbral Forma is available once this cycle, devs have floated 10-ish weeks per cycle. There's no guarantee that Umbral Forma will be available next cycle, though I'd say it's likely.
So we're looking at 5 Umbral Forma per year as things stand now.
I always assumed we'd get more Umbra warframes eventually, hopefully with their own little quests like Excalibur Umbra. Has there been any word on that?
it seems likely, with the New War looming probably late this year to mid next year I think? Excalibur is probably the only one we're getting to start, but I could see more being found/developed somehow afterwards, so that Excal and umbra-forma'd frames aren't the only viable frames for that part of the game.
"Coffee! Coffeecoffeecoffee! Coffee! Not as strong as Meth-amphetamine, but it lets you keep your teeth!"Lore-wise, I don't think they'd need to be developed, since the implication was that these were the original warframes.
What I figured was that first, the Orokin horrifically mutated people into warframes—those were the Umbra Warframes. But due to their insanity, they were Awesome, but Impractical for anything except conflict with the Sentients, so the designs were downgraded to the Prime Warframes for more everyday use around the Origin system. And then the Tenno downgraded them to the basic warframes sometime after that, since they didn't have the skill to make primes on a regular basis.
Well, less downgraded and more refined, Excalibur Umbra has the same Statline as Excalibur Prime, but different polarities and the anti-Sentient mods.
To use a Trek Metaphor, the Umbra's are NX, the Prime NCC and the normal ones are NCC lights.
"You can reply to this Message!"I... Uhh... Never saw Star Trek...
How do you do a sortie?
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Have you completed The War Within? You can't do a sortie without finishing that quest.
I’ve completed all story missions.
Where can I find the sorties?
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."On the Navigation menu, the far-right tab (which should look like this◊) will show the information for the current sortie.

I wonder if they're gonna add another Mara weapon, though, I get the feeling that DE forgot about the Mara prefix to begin with.
