We did, if I remember correctly. In just about every page other than recaps, including here, I think.
I thought so, but I wasn't sure.
If my post doesn't mention a giant flying sperm whale with oversized teeth and lionfish fins for flippers, it just isn't worth reading.I'm almost certain, but I don't really want to go back all those pages just to check.
...the forum could really use a "Go To Page" function.
Best option is to go to end of the link in your browser and change the page number.
A cruel, sick joke is still a joke, and sometimes all you can do is laugh.Hadn't thought of doing that. Thanks.
Found the post. Unsurprisingly, it's yours, Wyld, and it was also exactly one year ago, and was part of a conversation between the two of us about exactly this:
I'm putting the following message on the RWBY pages (main work & character pages). Is everyone okay with this?
First Members see episodes 1 week before public release. As a courtesy, please do not trope an episode until it's been released to the general public. Feel free to trope on the Recap pages. For more information, please visit the RWBY Forum thread.
We can trial this for Volume 6 and see how it works. If it's not working for everyone, we can always scrap it and think of another option.

There was a conversation a couple of months ago about whether to expand it or not because only doing it on the work and character pages caused confusion. People thought it extended to all the other sub-pages as well and it ended up on ATT when people disagreed over whether or not it did.
I can't remember for certain the outcome of the conversation a couple of months ago. I think it was that it may as well be extended to all the sub-pages, with the Recap pages being the exception, but I wanted to double-check before I see which pages the notice is on/missing from.
The message is currently worded as follows:
Edited to add: I decided to have a look anyway. Why on earth do we have so many sub-pages? It's ridiculous. Anyway, here's the current situation:
- N/A = Don't add to this page
- Completed = These are the pages that already have the message
- ? = I don't know whether this page needs the message added
- Add = These are the pages we need to add the message to

If my post doesn't mention a giant flying sperm whale with oversized teeth and lionfish fins for flippers, it just isn't worth reading. It definitely needs to be added to the Moments pages (Awesome/Funny/Heartwarming/Tearjerker/Nightmare); in my experience, that's where people go first to add spoilers.
I suppose we could re-folderize the pages so that each episode has its own folder (we do that on a lot of other Moments pages), but that would only help a little.
One thing: Is Adam slicing yang arm a nightmare moment of a awsome one? im a little bit confused about it.
"My Name is Bolt, Bolt Crank and I dont care if you believe or not"There was a whole discussion about the necessity for a Nightmare Fuel page, or lack thereof, back in the show's third or fourth Volume, and it was in this very thread.
I think most wanted the page gone.
Now though?
I don't see how Adam slicing Yang's arm counts unless you read the scene in very specific terms - like Adam being an abusive ex who comes back and hurts someone Blake cares about, and relating that to a general fear that abuse victims have. I mean, you could do that, and there's nothing in Nightmare Fuel saying you couldn't if it genuinely fuels your nightmares, but if any of us went back and reviewed the scene I doubt most of us would bother to list it under "Nightmare Fuel."
I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!Some people Consider it Awesome others consider it Nightmare Fuel.
Those pages are like, subjective as it gets.
Things are really about to get Fun around hereMan, I'm already happy that this volume is going to start just for the fact that fan artists have gone back to drawing about the show instead of just drawing hentai about it.
Seriously, I could not tell you the amount of RWBY porn that's come out over the last year or so instead of actual art about the show.
Sounds like you weren't looking hard enough for less smut.
I wasn't really looking hard enough (heh) for anything, I just kept to the same artists I already followed, and with one exception, all of them just decided to take this in-between period to start drawing/animating tons of RWBY smut, even if that's something they didn't do before. It's really baffling. And the searches I've been making recently for non-smut RWBY fanart have only been yielding more smut as well.

What about Mojojo?
Mojojoj's been normal. Posts a picture once in a while. Most of it has been unremarkable crossover gags, or bikini shots, with one great exception made for a Pokémon gag.
Actually, looking back now, he's done surprisingly little regarding the new volume and costumes.

We had a whole thread to get some basic rules for Nightmare Fuel up (no, you can't add an example that you think that someone else might find scary, etc), and now we've got a cleanup thread for the pages themselves. RWBY was one of the first pages cleaned. I wasn't directly involved in that, but I think Wyldchyld was.
And while I honestly don't care to check if Adam slicing off Yang's arm is on the Awesome or Nightmare Fuel page, it could be on both. Many examples cross multiple moments; there's no rule they can't be on both pages.
Yes, there are tropers who think every new episode has to be automatically summarised on each of the Moments pages, including Nightmare Fuel, which is gross misuse of all these pages. Cleaning up the RWBY Nightmare Fuel page caused so much aggro that the Nightmare Fuel clean-up thread ended up requesting a lock on the page. Even then, tropers tried to use the Edit Locked Pages thread to circumvent the lock, so now the mods send people who want to edit Nightmare Fuel pages to the clean-up thread to vet entries there first. If they're given the okay there, they can be put on the Edit Locked Pages thread.
I haven't recovered enough from that page to dare send the other Moments to the Moments clean-up thread. I can't face it.
So, if you do have a Nightmare Fuel entry you want to add to the Nightmare Fuel page, please visit this clean-up thread to discuss it. However, please pay attention to the Nightmare Fuel trope description (which has also been pinned to the first post of the clean-up thread).
Yang losing her arm is on the Nightmare Fuel page but it's borderline ZCE because it describes the scene, but barely describes how the audience is impacted by it (it mentions it's a chilling scene, so it managed to scrape through).
There is, however, no problem with a Nightmare Fuel entry making it onto the Awesome page. We had a discussion on the clean-up thread about whether something can be both Nightmare Fuel and Nightmare Retardant because of the Nuckelavee, which is listed as both. The conclusion was that something can be both those tropes because one person's fuel might be another person's retardant.

If my post doesn't mention a giant flying sperm whale with oversized teeth and lionfish fins for flippers, it just isn't worth reading.Funnily enough, RWBY fans love of over tropeing things have actually caused a rule change for a different show. For the Death Battle character page, after the Weiss vs Mitsuru fight, it was decided tropes shouldn't be added for characters if it isn't relevant to their appearance in DB, or mentioned during the episode, because a lot of irrelevant tropes were being added for Weiss.
Speaking of RWBY artist tigerpaw90 the artist who draw the Shark Cinder comics just made a new one [1]
So, do you think RWBY might get a Spanish dub in Latin America?
He/His/Him. No matter who you are, always Be Yourself. It doesn't already? I thought Latin America dubbed things pretty fast. It's been almost seven years.
They have being fan dubs and subs of...diferent qualities here and there.
"My Name is Bolt, Bolt Crank and I dont care if you believe or not"So I read a (humor/parody) RWBY fanfic in which the plot starts by Jaune accidentally stabbing Adam to death and becoming the new leader of White Fang.
And I thought, "I can actually imagine this happening now."
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel.@brawlbro: They do that for the Blazblue Cross Tag Battle page as well, and I'm tempted to enforce a Similar rule
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.
No, we don't know how old he was when the Great War happened or when it ended. We don't even know how or when the King of Vale died. We don't even know how old Ozpin was when he died.
The Great War covered a 110 year period (100 years of pre-war build-up and 10 years of war), so Ozma could have had two hosts (possibly three) in that time from beginning to end, depending on the ages of his hosts when he reincarnated into them and when they died. We don't actually know if it's normal for him to reincarnate into a child. There are some hints in the show that it might not be normal for him to do that (we know it happened to Ozpin as a child, too — he mentions it to Oscar and Weiss comments that Ozpin was renowned as a prodigy):
I've been wondering if there was something a little special about the wife. Her eyes weren't just blue, they were vivid blue. Anyway, there's obvious something special about Ozma when it comes to passing things on to his children, we just don't know if there's a wife component, too.
Looking at my theory that Jaune is a descendent, too. His back story is a bit odd so far. He's indicated he didn't have the talent for fighting, hence his lack of combat skill at the start of the show. However, his speed of development is phenomenally fast — only Oscar's faster — so that doesn't make sense. We also don't know if his locked Aura is a normal thing for humans (Oscar doesn't help us here because that's never discussed in relation to him, and the reincarnation could change things for him anyway). Confidence could be Jaune's issue, he does believe his parents never had faith in him. However, we also have indications that Jaune's Aura is unusually large and Tyrian found him interesting. So there's definitely something going on with Jaune's heritage, we just don't know what.
Ozma's daughters by Salem didn't have silver eyes. Their eye colours were connected to their clothing colours (and, by implication, the Maidens).
His son and daughter by the blue-eyed women, however, had silver eyes. We can tell the difference between silver and grey eyes in this show because silver eyes have notches in the lower half of the eyes (on the left and right hand side). All the silver eyed characters have these notches (Ruby since V2:E1, Summer, Maria, Ozma's two children). No other characters have them, including grey-eyed characters like Mercury.
When Ozpin leaned in to look at Ruby's eyes in the pilot episode, he was probably looking for the notches. We can't see them in V1, but they are consistently visible from the first episode of V2 onwards. Using the RWBY wiki for images:
Whatever people want with the spoiler thread. However, it is worth bearing in mind that some people are only active in the RWBY threads when the show is airing and disappear between volumes.
I am a FIRST member note . I'm happen to either use the spoiler thread or wait a week in this thread before discussing an episode that's just come out for the public.
That said, did we decide to use the trope delay warning on all the RWBY sub-pages (except Recap, obviously)? I can't remember. I'd recommend it, personally, because only having it on some pages did cause a lot of confusion last year.
