Cool, I enjoyed the first one.

I demo'ed the first one, but never picked it up.

That's a shame, the first one's really great.

I had a lot of fun with the first one with some friends except for an odd issue where what was happening on my screen didn't really match up with what was going on on someone else's. My friend had managed to get a cop to surrender, but on my view the guy still had his gun up and was firing. Cue me getting yelled at for executing a cop when I thought he was still a threat. We kinda stopped playing shortly after that.

Anyone else planning to get the game?

I'm pretty excited for this. The weapon customization and stealthy aspects in particular interest me.

That said, any word on the beta? People are pretty upset about the amount of time it's taking over on the Steam forums...

The time for beta to appear or something else the beta is derping on?

If I had the money for it and friends who were online and into it I'd definitely play it. I don't know if my PC could run it well though *deerp*

Time for the beta to appear. They said July. We are now almost halfway through July.

Dev Almir said he will announce when the beta will come. People are just hyping themselves silly and are upset that no date on the beta is out. It is sad, really.

Beta is out! Installing now, will post impressions once I've played a bit.

Doubleposting to declare I am impressed by the beta and very happy I got the edition that includes the soundtrack.

I play it as well. Currently up to level 19, I think.

Word. Got this over the Steam sale, played it over the weekend, regretting not getting it much, much earlier.

It's great! As soon as I can organise with my friends who play regularly, I'll probably be cranking the levels.

Just got my JP-36 though. I have such a weakness for the G-36 frame...

I play fairly regularly so I can join you guys if you wish to play.

I did the sniper rifle zipline no-scope headshot achievement.

Now I have a suppressed sniper rifle, ho ho ho...

Good stuff! I'll be picking up my Thanatos soon (I could have had one ages ago, but I've never seen the need for it). When that happens, I'll actually have all the sniper rifles...

So I've found the Clarion to be an impressively good weapon (competitor's compensator, stability laser, unique grip), and that's just me using it on single shot. When I activate Bullet Storm though, oh boy...

I've seen people using the Barrett to take down the Headless Skulldozer in the Halloween Nightmare map. #terribleterribledamage to put it mildly.

I need to do the Big Bank heist at last.

Indeed. Takes something like a full mag though.

EDIT: Did a Big Bank last night, we got careless and I ended up having to do the last five minutes of the heist solo. But it was an epic five minutes.

So apparently Payday 2 is going to have The Smurfette Principle soonish. If by Smurfette we understand crazy Irish woman called Clover.

Now available on Steam for free, well, five million copies of it are, anyway.

Of course it's a bit more complicated than that - no DLC is available or included until the next edition of the game is out.

I'm tempted to get back into this, once the upgrade option comes out and I can get all the fun stuff. My issue was all the randoms on Steam - some going for hardcore completion times on maps and kicking you as soon as you got ONE thing wrong.

Lots of people grinding the jewelry store heist for ages.

Anyone still playing on PC? I need to get me some sweet weapons.
