Well, it's called "average" for a reason. tongue

This "faculty lot" you speak of sounds like a place of great power...

Yeah, but still goddangit tongue

Anyhoo, found the equipment table so I guess I'll be thinking of that next.

...BTW, how the heck "spiked chain" is used anyway? I mean, its chain. With spikes in it. How do you wield something like that?(I'm considering taking it despite it not seeming that good. I have weapon proficiency for it from Zon-Kuthon)

Added rest of the class skills in it.

For Craft and Profession, you need to have some kind of one. Like Craft(Axe) and Profession(Clerk).

Similarly, Perform needs to be something too, like Sing.

Oh. Umm... Is there a list of crafts/professions I can choose from? Skill description said that there are "common" ones but there doesn't seem to be any list. Or can I put ANY profession or craft there? So can I like put my craft to be disguises or waxmaking?

...I can't think of any suitable profession for creepy torture god priest though. I guess butcher would be good since butches DO know anatomy, right?

http://paizo.com/pathfinderRPG/prd/skills/perform.html

http://paizo.com/pathfinderRPG/prd/skills/craft.html

If it's not on a list and you take it, ask your GM what it falls under.

It'd be Butcher. You could ask your GM if Knowledge(Anatomy) would be allowed, of course. Otherwise, Profession(Butcher) would work.

I guess either alchemy or varies... I'll put down varies and butches for now.

Alchemy is specifically a Craft.

But that isn't Anatomy. XD

I guess you could craft makeup kits, but actually using them is the Disguise skill. There is no complete list for Craft and Profession, since they'd have to cover every reasonable profession in the world. Also, how granular the professions are depends on the type of campaign. In the average campaign, Profession (Sailor) is probably fine, but in a nautical-themed game, there are probably going to be several variations on that.

Remember that just because you can put points into something doesn't mean that you should. If your character never had a profession besides being a cleric, you probably don't need points in a Profession skill.

I'm bad, and that's good. I will never be good, and that's not bad. There's no one I'd rather be than me.

Yeaaaaaaaah. I wasn't really planning to put ranks in them anyway. I guess I could put one in them for sake of flavor/fluff, but yeah.

Also, "varies" because I was thinking of the guy being able to craft wax masks. And I'm not sure if wax & wax molding would go under the alchemy. And butcher since if I have profession class skill might as well be that :P

Okay, umm, so stuff to get for 140... Umm, spiked chain -25, manacles -15gp, -disguise kit -50 healer's kit -50

Huh. That would be exactly 140. Does anyone have recommendations for serious equipment build for? I mean, I might as well create awful bad build for my first one since that is kind of natural, but I'd still like to know what would be "recommended" equipment for this character for 140gp?

I will probably drop disguise kit and get cleric's vestments... Since otherwise I guess I'd be naked :P I can probably get disguise kit later, but I doubt I need one actually even for role playing reasons. I guess I need food, so... Okay, what would be good use of 45 for cleric?

Oh wait, kits exhaust after 10 uses? I guess I drop both of them then. Sounds like rather short term investment even if in practice it lasts for multiple sessions.

Can I buy mounts/transport/food at beginning? Are they worth it?

Get Rations. And a Backpack. And a Bedroll(Tent is nice, but costs too much). I'd also suggest a Lantern/Candle and Twindertwig to light it.

Talk to your GM if anything is given free, some things might be done that way. I'd go for weak Leather Armor to start off with, and don't worry about super awesome weapons. Just go with something not-costly. Like a Battle Mace.

Well, I do have blindfight from darkness domain... Speaking of which, I should add that to my character sheet.

Can I wear leather armor under cleric's vestments?

Anyway, so mm... Trying to take that in account.. -1gp two days of rations, -25 spiked chain, -5gp cleric's vestment, -10 gp leather armor... -1gp belt pouch, -10 gp tent, -7gp hooded lantern -1gp for ten oil, -1gp waterskin -5gp for five twindertwigs, -10 gp for acid? Umm, That'd be at least -66gp and so there is left 74 gp... Not sure if this is much better, but I guess this one would be better for actually traveling.

Umm... What are items like sealing wax and signet ring on goods and services table? Are those like what you use for sealing a important letters? I guess its nice that we have prices for such services too.

Yeah. That's a good idea.

http://paizo.com/pathfinderRPG/prd/ultimateEquipment/gear/adventuringGear.html

Here's an even bigger list.

BTW, what books has the GM allowed?

http://paizo.com/pathfinderRPG/prd/equipment.html

If any book, use the first link.(same if Ultimate Equipment is allowed) if only the Core Rulebook, use the second Link. You can also view everything by clicking on the Core Rulebook link to the farthest left near the top.

Umm, you do know that I'm pretty much practicing making a character sheet and at same time making one in case I ever get chance to actually play this game?

Which means that no, I don't have any GM who has invited me to his game so I can't ask him/her questions related to thing he/she can only decide.

I'm building equipment from my core rulebook.

Remember that Cleric can wear heavy armor as well so you can really buff your AC if you want.

You look happy, I can change that if you want.

"This leather knapsack has one large pocket that closes with a buckled strap and holds about 2 cubic feet of material. Some may have one or more smaller pockets on the sides.".

I guess it depends the items. Keep in mind that's the medium size.

Anyway, you can carry just about any weight, possibly. There is no specifications for regular backpacks.

2 cubic feet is 56.6336932 liters... Great, now I should just remember how much that is... Still, its a lot. Anyhoo, I should check encumbarance table to see how much I can carry with 7 str...

Anyway, I guess I could get unholy symbol(I guess they cost same as holy symbols?) and maybe spell component pouch. Unless cleric spells don't need those... Anyway, they are fairly cheap. I probably don't need to buy anything more except maybe paper if I want to roleplay guy doing research stuff or maybe chains since I'm not sure if manacles are alone enough binding.

Anyhoo, I'll add when I have time stuff I bought to sheets and ask you guys comment on them later on, I have some school work to do.

The rpgcrossing char sheet will take care of encumbrance for you.

Just put the weight of each item on the list. Some things don't have a weight. I.E. Paper. For the most part, if you have a huge amount, you could probably make it a 1 pound her 20 or something. But eh, don't list weight unless the GM says so.

Yes, I do have to mention ones that are a GM's decision, because a lot of stuff isn't what a player can do in general.

Do remember that every character, no matter how much wealth they roll, starts with a (free!) outfit worth up to 10 gp (which is to say, most outfits not meant for merchants or nobles). If you're wearing this outfit, it doesn't count towards your carrying capacity. Basically, you get one set of clothes that doesn't need to interact with the rest of the mechanics unless you take them off.
