Oh hey, we finally get a female villain that actually has human appearance this time, not just a scary costume with fully sculpted mask.

The last time we got that was in Go-Busters, but before Go-Busters the last time it happened was long before Goseiger, so Go-Busters aside, it has been literally ages since the last time we have that!

Kiramager 25:

A fun little episode, the stuff with Juruu and the shrine was fun. Tametomo falling for the archer lady was a little annoying, but the twist of her actually being a Yodon general was great. She also gets a proper transformation sequence and still keeps her human face actor even in villain form.

Next episode, The team power-up. I don't love the design but it's been so long since we've had a proper team power-up I'm still grateful.

You know what, the fact that she uses Yodon Changer makes me wonder if the DX version currently being sold by Premium Bandai will include a few of her lines.

It did seem a bit pointless before. Dark Kiramei Silver was in, what, one episode?

The Dark Seiza Blaster (a very direct comparison - good silver ranger turns evil and gets a recolour of their normal transformation device) got a good amount more use, though that was helped by its having two collectables. Three episodes of Evil!Naga, then the Dark Kyutama was used with the regular Seiza Blaster as a power-up. The Black Hole Kyutama also came in handy again near the end.

I guess, releatively speaking, depends how long Yudonna sticks around.

26: Yodonna telling the MotW to just ditch the style and cause more mundane chaos is pretty funny.

Weird minor criticism, but I wish they'd paint the Monstones different colours or something. Would make the suit reuse a bit less obvious. They already did the dark one in episode 18, so why can't the normal ones come in different colours?

I was not expecting a dangerous power-up from this series but sure, why not?

That's a pretty reasonable justification for a time limit. The moral doesn't quite work since they do in fact become more powerful, but the idea of there actually being consequences to exceeding your limits does make sense. I like the fight scene with them passing the bow around, nice way around there only being one weapon for a full-team powerup.

Man I am loving Kiramager so far! It makes me sad that we are over the halfway mark of the season. I also love Yodonna, and her rivalry with Tametomo. I have a feeling their conflict will lead to interesting developments down the line.

Kiramei 29:

Felt a bit rushed, but a fun episode. Atamald was a very neat idea we barely got to see. Grateful Phoenix is pretty cool. Oradin being back is... weird. Mabusheena now has quite the family unit, as her father is a giant phoneix and her mother is a tiara. Well, and her adoptive brother from another planet, but he was always like that. I assume when they restore Crystallia the royals will also get their bodies back.

It seems Garza and Yodon are unaware of Atamald's existence, which explain why it's so incredibly peaceful.

And it seems like Toei rushed Oradin's revival, which is why it feels kinda weird. Something this important should have been a two-episodes arc.

Also, looks like we're getting a 7th ranger soon, considering who he is, hopefully it's not treated as just a single episode joke.

Kiramai 30

A pretty sweet episode. It is kind of nice that they acknowledge how someone can be an essential member of the team without actually being a Ranger. An interesting contrast to the most recent episode of Saber, where the tech support did outright become a Rider. That said, I would like to see an actual 7th Kiramager. Mabusheena would be my choice. I like that we still got a henshin/suit/roll call, even if it was imaginary in-universe

Kiramager 34:

An interesting plot here, though the villain's motivations do appear to be 99% spite at this point. Well, guess that helps where Calamentality is concerned.

Bringing back the witch's mask was pretty neat. Though it does seem weird that it can still spit poison despite just being a mask. I assumed that was the witch (whether an inherent ability or one the mask granted) but no, guess it just comes out of the mask.

Dark King Express, like Dark Kirami Silver, is disappointing. Can they not put a little more effort into it?

Yudonna reacting to The Power of Friendship by going 'welp, guess I'll just kill your friends' is an interesting point.

You know, following episode 35, if Mabushina could've been a ranger herself if she's trained.

She actually got quite a lot done despite being utterly wasted.

I do think it'd be neat if she became a Ranger. Maybe cyan, with Zabyun or Oradin as her partner? Doubt it'd ever happen though...

Also, we genuinely just got an episode in which the main plot was "Mabusheena gets drunk" so that's something. A very strange episode, but I enjoyed it.

I'm amused that right after drunk Mabusheena, we're getting rapper Yodonna.

Zenkaiger's Zenkaiser has already leaked. Soemone at that publisher is gonna get their asses on fire. Looks like the leaks about Zenkaiser being the lead and he rides on the other Zenkaigers is real.

The designs are pretty wild, but I do quite like them.

Apparently white is a 'robot trainer' and the other four are all robots. We don't know yet whether they'll get human disguises and transform or if they're just like that.

According to the leaks, the ranger-bots grow and combine in pairs into smaller mechs, then eventually white gets his own mech, possibly leading to the five-combo.

I've already seen theories on what the sixth could be. Notably, Zenkaiger's rainbow includes green, so maybe that. And as the existing rangers represent animals, dinosaurs, vehicles/tech and magic, the most obvious remaining theme is ninja / martial arts.

So many reference to past Sentais. Zenkaiser is obvious and the color of the team is an obvious homage to Gorenger. The members are homage to past mechas, Red is Zyuranger, Blue is Gingaman, Yellow is Gaoranger

Toei isn't doing well for designs it seems. First Saber's designs are bad, then Precure, now Sentai.

So there's one human commanding a team of robots?

...interesting.
