Sakuya is the only one who can't buy it, because he hasn't been slapped in the face with the evidence the way Keiichiro and Tsukasa has.

And Zamigo is up to shit.

Episode 47:

Noel just gets captured rather than dying, Zamigo has made himself transparent, so being able to predict his moves doesn't mean much when you still can't hit him, and next week, we may finally get the unmasking.

Nana Asakawa will play the mysterious Rita in "Super Sentai Strongest Battle".

Also here's the first trailer. EDIT: Okay never mind on this link, the video is unavailable outside of it's home country. But apparently, the Ryusoulgers will make an appearance in this miniseries before their official debut to give us a taste of what they're like.

Makes sense. I kinda got the feeling Hyper could be used by any of them, though I haven't watched enough Toqger to be sure about that.

Yeah, Hyper's just another one-at-a-time power-up. Right uses it most, the other guys once or twice, and the girls only that weird time when they use it together but in theory any of them could whenever

Apparently the special takes place on the planet Nemesis which is the same name as the planet in which Bandora was sealed. So the Rita name might not be coincidental.

I'm probably just out of the loop, but, uh, how long has Dairanger been on VRV? I was just arbitrarily clicking around and, woop, there's Dairanger. Actual Dairanger with subs and no teens with attitude.

EDIT: Research tells me the sub has existed since 2016.

More characters that'll appear in "Strongest Battle".

Also, there's this guy who gives off MAJOR "Ryusoulger" vibes.

That's 100% a Ryusoulger character, the design is comparable and he uses a recolour of the sword. Though it could be a recolour or a different character with a shared monster suit or something. A Wolzard comparison seems obvious (starts bad, turns good eventually, and the super obvious visual comparisons) so I almost feel like they won't be that, and could just be a villain who uses the same power source.

It's neat that we're getting quite a few face actors back, though I worry it'll be similar to the recent Kamen Rider cross-over movies and they'll kind of waste them.

Maybe not. I think that you can do a bit more with a short series than a movie, so they might do a little better.

We have some new info on the upcoming "Sentai", with the Series Cast to be officially revealed in February.

Before we get to Kishiryu Sentai Ryusoulger though, we still have the Final Battle for the Lupinrangers and Patrangers.

Weird longshot but have we got any information about the Lupin Collection pieces being named after songs? The wiki says it, which if anything makes me think it's not true (the trivia sections are notoriously bad unsourced this-might-be-a-reference-to-basically-anything stuff), and some of the ones it claims are kind of obscure Western stuff. But on the other hand, a few names make way more sense if that is the case

Zamigo is dead. Guess the boss is staying the boss...for one episode at least.

After more or less being the Phantom Thieves show, the Global Police take centre stage for the finale.

Pretty sweet penultimate episode. Kind of weird that beating Zamigo did work for bringing back their loved ones, seeing as it came up as a weird plan B when that first came up. The specifics of the plan troubles me a bit; it relies on Zamigo's power not being a collection piece but coming from his safes anyway, and trigger machines locking safes kind of works but feels like it should have been foreshadowed in some way.

I also I've noticed that soulger sounds a lot like soldier, I wonder if that's intended.

More Ryusoul scans and can it just stop being Kyoryuger for like a second?

Some Lupin finale stuff, as I jumped the gun and watched it live:

So, they do get out of the safe. I was assuming they would, but I was kind of expecting a bit of Pat vs Dogranio then both teams. Though the Pats getting a final battle of their own, if brief, was welcome. The two teams staying antagonistic is weird, as them completely making up probably would have been the 'easy option' but this feels like it sort of invalidates them trusting each other near the end? And Jackpot Striker was, like, actually plot-significant. I know they tend to make movies unquestionably cannon now but that is kind of weird.

Also, Lu/Pat/Kyu trailer. Notably, looks like there will be a BN thieves/ Lupinranger team up as some people were predicting, we are getting a 19 person change and an... interesting keisatsu change.

Interesting Keisatsu change nothing! I never expected Kairi, Touma and Umika to use the Pat's VS Changers!

Just caught the finale.

I'm almost positive that the idea of the revived loved ones becoming thieves themselves was theorized, but I'm likely wrong. Anyway, not a bad series, though I still feel the Patorangers got a little shortchanged, but the finale hinging on them kinda fixed that (not completely).

This is my first modern sentai from beginning to end (kinda like how Kamen Rider Wizard was my first full Rider series, although I'd started Fourze from around episode 4 onwards and stuck with it). I don't know if this'll be a thing with me, but I guess we'll see.
