Actually, the term Bang Baby is specifically used for people exposed to the Quantum Gas on the night of the Big Bang, when there was this big gang war that occurred near a dock warehouse filled with the stuff, most likely planted there by AIM in the laziest illegal science experiment in the history of ethically wrong science discovery.

@ Ud: Yeah, but I figure that if a second batch of the vapor was released people would make the connection and lump the two groups of supers together. I'd have had Kamala be part of the original Bang Babies, but that was a bit too long ago in-universe for my plans.

Steel

I looked up at the sky and I saw gods. I looked again, and I saw a man wreathe himself in his riches so that he may fly with those gods. At once, I was insulted to see only beings of power and men of privilege take to the sky above us mere proletarian mortal men. I looked up at the sky and I saw gods descend like angels to cleave apart the force of evil for the sake of those lesser than him. I saw a man of privilege brought face to face with the inequities he had wrought and turn his resources to make himself the knight that protected the weak. I saw that and, at once, I was inspired.

My name is John Henry Irons, and this is my story. Others told me I was gifted, that I could see in way that others could not. I could see the way rivets and gears, wires and metal and all things mechanical simply fit together. Even such that I was tested for the X-gene, for which the tests were inconclusive. I saw so much more than the way gears fit together, I saw the whole world. The broken grinding gears of injustice were obvious before me. Yet, here, the solution did not simply make itself manifest as it did with machines. I toiled under the burden of my knowledge, the weight of it nearly cracking my mind!

It was Mr. Stark who saved me from a life of ever pressing anxiety and despair. He not only gave me a job, something I could procure with ease with my talents, he gave me purpose! He illuminated me to way of the military industrial complex, how so much money was funnel in research and development, and every break through eventually filtered down to bettering the lives of the people. With my gift, I could rapidly increase this process, paving the way to a brighter tommorow! At peace, I labored under many project at Tony Stark's command, the latest of which was a suit of powered armor. That one, now that one gave me trouble. I hit road block after road block with it and had heard word that Mr. Stark was near enough to designating me to another project before he took his fateful trip to the Middle East.

When he returned, it was as if the mouth of Hell had opened up to scream its damnation at me. Perhaps Mr. Stark moved to shoulder the burden and the blame of all that his company had wrought, but I knew I had helped design so many of those weapons. I knew that all the peace I had wrapped myself in was a blanket of lies, now torn by the harsh truth of reality to expose me for the evil that I was.

And so I found myself standing at the edge of a skyscraper, ready to cast myself to Hell to which I belonged. From the Heaven he came, sheathe in blue and with an unfurling banner of red behind him, a bold S on his chest. This angel, this god, presented himself before me and he told me, "You are better than this." And I knew he was right.

After this, I saw the Iron Man, Tony Stark, clad in his armor of red and gold. For all the evil he had wrought, he now sought to use his resources and his genius to make them right. A second message from the Heavens, a muse and shepherd for the way! Seeing his armor in action, all of my months of study upon the power armor clicked into place and all of the roadblocks were obliterated.

Tony Stark shut down all his weapons programs, and for this I do not begrudge him. It made my work more difficult but in secret did I continue to labor. I descended into study and work with a new found fervor, a fire of justice that would not be quenched. By coworkers, they called me obsessed. My family, they warned what I did was unhealthy. None of them understood my vision, they couldn't see what I saw. As part of my studies, I looked up videos of the Iron Man in action and so too did I witness his allies at work as well. I also searched for further evidence of my savior and in doing so learned of a probable cousin to him, this Majestic. In Jump City, with him, also stalked the God Of Thunder, once more returned to the world of men to strike down the wicked. I focused, particularly, on his famous hammer, Mjolnir.

I finished it, the Steel suit, modeled as my muse's, emblazoned with the symbol of my savior to remind of what I could be and wielding a hammer with the force of angry god. I stand atop the shoulders of giants and I take no shame in that. The only shame I feel is that, now, I feel I must avoid the gaze Tony Stark, for surely he will recognize my work and his resources, and see right through my mask. No, instead, I look to the West, where my savior's seeming relation lives and perhaps the angel with the S on his chest is to.

• Age: Late 20's
• Appearance: Steel◊ (Edit: He's replaced his helmet with an Iron Man style helmet) John◊
• Alignment: Good
• Personality: Steel is prone to exaggerated hyperbole, wild gesticulations, loud declarations, scenery chewing and giant ham. He really is well-meaning, just very boisterous. He believes strong in that which he represents and will fight for it till the end. Out of the suit, John seems to unconsciously flip a switch. He is just as strong in his belief, but now its focused in a very quiet intensity.
• Powers and Abilities: John has an almost instinctive grasp on all things mechanical. Actual academic study seems to give a ground from which to work with but what he can do goes way beyond what just his college degrees suggest.
• Weapons and Equipment: The Steel suit is a much more heavy duty version of the Iron Man suit, not unlike War Machine but more focused on brawling then heavy weaponry. It's meant to get up close and personal, with the strength and agility to deal super strength punches in a super speed fight and the armor class to take the same punishment. The hammer is an extreme extension of this philosophy, using technology heavily based on Stark's repulsors but modified with a much, much lower yield focused into a stronger punch. When activated, it will itself aid in the momentum of wherever it swung and release a blast against whatever it hits. It will also fly itself back to Steel's hands, just like he'd seen Thor do with Mjolnir. Notably, it'd be rather insane for him to try to wield it outside the suit as the force would rip his arms out of his sockets.

Didn't technically reserve him per se, but I did mention that I was working on a sheet in the DT (which I totally understand you not seeing).

Someone actually did Kitty Pride before, but they vanished off the face of the Earth. She did her version as coming from a bad future where Darkseid takes over the Earth, Sentinels are his major police force, mutants are hunted to near extinction with regular human not far behind, and the Green Lantern and Nova Corps have given up liberating the planet to just booting the Apokolipan forces off; and she time traveled back to help prevent all that.

She did not do much, thankfully, and we can easily Hand Wave her reappearance and everyone forgetting about her as thanks to Timey Wimey shenanigans.

Nah, I should've checked around a bit more. We can ask Lizardof Aus if we can both do Nightcrawler (I think teleportation-gone-wrong on my end could be interesting? Maybe?), and if not (or if you don't like the sound of it), I'll make up a sheet for Kitty Pride. I like them about equally, so I'm good either way. What do you think?

EDIT: That was a dumb idea, ignore that. Working on my Kitty Pride sheet. Nightcrawler is yours for the taking, ha ha.
