Most of the characters introduced so far seem to have abilities comparable to fairly well-known comic book characters, but interestingly, Allison's the only major one whose analog (Superman) is from DC. The others are Feral (Wolverine, obviously), Pint-Size (Ant-Man), and now Paladin (Iron Man).
You forgot Patrick.
"We learn from history that we do not learn from history."Telepathy's a fairly common power; he's not a reference to a specific iconic character in the way that the others are. Although the "billionaire" thing raises a few Bruce Wayne comparisons.
(I love Allison complimenting his car and him saying, "Thank you - I got it to impress people, so I'm glad it's working.")

You know, I imagined for a second another Patrick.
@Eowyn: I dunno. The Atom is the first one to come to mind for me when it comes to shrinking supers.
Switch FC code: SW-4420-1809-1805I love how they refer to outing themselves as biodynamic individuals as "coming out of the phone booth".
Read it all, loved it, needs to update more.
Read my stories! So this new plotline is intense, well I mean most are but this is more likely to come up in my world? Well if I went to parties, you know what I mean?
I honestly think this is being laid on too thick. Date rape is very much a problem, but there are more subtle ways to portray that in a comic (see: Dumbing of Age) without diluting that message.
Expergiscēre cras, medior quam hodie. (Awaken tomorrow, better than today.)What was that initial text message about? The one that mentioned "Hector Jimenez"?
"We learn from history that we do not learn from history."Hector is Pint-Size. Don't know what's up with him, but am looking forward to finding out.
And I think the attempted date-rape scene is well done, because it once again gets to the heart of Allison's dilemma about how effective her powers are at solving real, common problems in the world.
I found it interesting that the party goers tried to use Alison's powers as a way of putting her down.
"We learn from history that we do not learn from history."Yeah they're all for it rather, until it disrupts things.
So... we just found out who killed those people, the ones in the convenience store and the wife abuser...
"We learn from history that we do not learn from history."Yes, it's looking like Moonshadow is a likely candidate.
EDIT: Spoilered, sorry.

Probably should have spoilered that.
"We learn from history that we do not learn from history."I'm still unclear on what Moonshadow's power is actually supposed to be.
It seems to either be simple invisibility, or an ability to keep people from noticing her. If the latter, she should still show up on security cameras and the like.
"We learn from history that we do not learn from history."It sounds like her ability is people not noticing her, rather than invisibility as such. First Allison says to Sonar that Moonshadow's usually the only one who can sneak up on him - and given his name and his huge ears, his powers likely include super-hearing, which invisibility wouldn't help against. And then we have the line: "It wasn't just that she was easy to forget, she was somehow difficult to pay attention to."
Water balloons: the most important weapon in any elite military strike team's arsenal.
Expergiscēre cras, medior quam hodie. (Awaken tomorrow, better than today.)I think Pintsize doesnt get it. These days, if you cant keep doing what you are good at, you write your memoirs and appear on talk shows.
"We learn from history that we do not learn from history."I imagine that would seem like a let down after all the heroic, but I shouldn't be taking your joke that seriously.
The money helps...
"We learn from history that we do not learn from history."Well reading the falsely cheerful alt-text on the latest comics somehow makes it way more creepy. Also the bright colour of the balloons(?) and how Moonshadow is smiling. Maybe I'm just easily creeped out.
Now I feel like an idiot. Carry on.
Wait- I just realized something. The point of the new "Tier 4" classification was to apply gov't oversight to people with biodynamically enhanced IQ and skills. That is what allowed "Paladin" to come out and get a regular job teaching college. Interesting.
