The Production Values of A Hero Nobody knows are honestly awful, though, almost on par with Jump Force but cel shaded.

Fighter Z and DBZ Kakarot spoil me.

I swear these anime arena brawler games are made with no budget.

They aren't.

Think of them as the video game adaptations of movies, Japanese edition.

I can't believe Pokken retains the crown of "best 3D arena fighting game", when only half of its gameplay is 3D arena-style.

My Hero One's Justice, Kill la Kill IF, and this game all looked fine to me?

And they generally get at most mediocre reviews.

Which is par for the course for these types of tie-in games.

The fact they went with an arena fighter, rather than the far more thematically appropiate superhero sandbox, shows how much tought is spend in the creation of those games.

Budget =/= popular with the critics =/= level of enjoyment.

It just baffles me that they actually dubbed the One Punch Man and Kill la Kill games but not My Hero Academia.

...that is a bit strange now that you mention it. Much as I hate to admit it My Hero beats those two in popularity by far.

There’s not really much to admit there in a basic acknowledgement of popularity.

The funniest thing I’ve seen about this game is how someone controlling Child Emperor beat a Saitama player by just outrunning him. Just kept dashing the entire game with Saitama too slow to catch up.

That is both hilariously broken & a sad showing of much work they put into the combat of these games.

That there actually is a way to beat Saitama at all is amusing.

Even if the only way is to literally run away.

But wouldn't you still need to do enough damage to him that his health bar is lower than yours before you can run?

You forget you have to a control a weaker character before Saitama comes in.

And I don’t he heals the health bar once he arrives.

How the hell is Garou still alive? He got beat up badly by watchdog man, bang and bomb beat the absolute shit out of him, royal ripper slashed him to death, Overgrown Rover directly blasted him twice and he didn’t get burned to death.Same with Orochi who also stabbed him, Darkshine broke his chest etc.

You can't beat him, Saitama always wins even if you outrun him iirc.

I think his obsession is approaching Saitama levels, so he's starting to unlock similar mechanisms, though less strong and more focused on "not losing" than "winning".

Or the real answer is because he has plot armor i’m sick of him.

It's ok if you don't like him as a character, but his obsession-fueled, innatural growth is an explicit plot point. He's kind of a dark mirror of Saitama while he was still training.

Yeah the point is that Garou is becomming like a Dark Saitama, his unbreakable determination is causing his own limiter to constantly break & evolve just like with Saitama.

Wait, didn't Saitama still win that match against Child Emperor? I thought the latter just survived until the end by running away.

Yes.

• The people who survive thanks to Majin Buu being defeated.
• I mean. Dragonball is the story of Gohan Goku yes but OPM is like the story of everyone who isn't Saitama which... helps your point I guess. I still would've preferred not to see a shoed-in CAC mode added personally, but I suppose it is more natural.
