Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens

Best part? We have NO idea what the endgame for the narrative is. At all. We knew that the prequels would involve the fall of Anakin, the rise of the Empire, the Clone Wars, etc. It was all leading to a predetermined end. But this?

Nothing. We haven't the slightest idea of what's going to happen, what it's all leading up to. It's like the OT all over again; there's nothing but discovery.

That's probably why they decided to say FUCK YOU to the EU.

Which, now that I think about it, is pretty brilliant actually.

It does amuse me that the old EU ends with the several-times-great-granddaughter of Han Solo killing the Last Sith Lord with a blaster, then going on more misadventures with her crew.

I would like to see some things from the Legends continuity come back, cherry pick the good, leave behind the silly. I won't cry though if Thrawn doesn't cameo and Han & Leia's daughter isn't named "Jaina".

FYI, the teasers gonna be available on 12 am PST on i tunes movie trailers.

I recommend refreshing that page around two minutes before. You know, just to be sure.

Meh. Ships look nice, but there are a few design choices that are not gellin'.

The ships look nice because AFAICT they're all ships that we've seen before, or variations on ones we've seen before.
