The Tangos change hurts. I'd gotten used to playing with 5 charges, now I'll have to get double mangoes/double tangoes.

It's not like much has changed from 7.07. Tangos still cost 30 gold per charge. If anything it's quite possible that it could save a small handful of gold in the early game, especially if you're a hard carry with good supports zoning out the offlaner.

Tangos still cost 30 gold per charge.

It affects my starting build when I play a core, albeit slightly (by 55 gold, to be exact, when combined with the starting gold change)...

Wait, what am I talking about? I barely ever play as a core. And it's a wonderland for supports this patch.

Finally the Tango image makes sense again.

Also, I don't think the official custom games (10v10, Colosseum, etc.) have implemented abandon penalties.

We're reaching the penultimate portion of the season as teams are scrambling for tournament slots and points (once they do qualify).

And it's just this month that I've finally been able to play again since 2 years ago; I mostly watch games nowadays.

And TNC v. Fnatic has happened in 4 of the past 5 days now (in 4 different qualifiers). [lol]

I'm reading this because it's interesting. I think. Whiskey, Tango, Foxtrot, over.

Same, it's almost feels like there's been tournament matches every weekend (either qualifiers or main stage).

[up]I usually stick with SEA teams though, we do probably have the most number of pros per capita LOL

Congratulations to the winners of TI 8!

OG pulled off an amazing 3-2 against LGD, winning over 10 million dollars.

Both EG and OG's run through TI 8 was surprisingly impressive, despite how new their rosters were (or perhaps because of it?). Dunno what happened with VP; did they get figured out or were they just not performing up to par in TI 8?

Oof, that temporary run Dendi had with Team Secret for the Maincast Autumn Brawl was painful. I was wondering what the hell Puppey was thinking with those drafts he was making against Na'Vi.

I've just played two games in a row where some player disconnects partway through, and it's happened earlier a few times over the weekend.

The most annoying problems are those you can't do anything to fix.

Betting is easy - but difficult at the same time and your skill and knowledge of the game play a great role. Naturally, there is the risk that you'll lose some of your bets. You should not only know the particular game, but also keep an eye on teams and players, their strong and weak sides. I personally use https://dota-bet.com/events/ to stay updated with all important news.

But what makes this industry beautiful is that you will be able to enjoy the game no matter the outcome of the previously placed bet. Even if the win you need is far away, you can still get all hyped up when your favorite team pulls off a godly play and wins the match in a matter of minutes!

Are there any bettors here? If no, what do you think about it? Would you like to try betting on your favorite games and teams?

I like to introduce this Youtube channel for anyone who like Dota. It called Dennis the Tall and the host basically talk about history of DOTA heroes from when they first introduced in the Warcraft 3 mod until now and what had chance about that hero. The videos quite funny and very informed.

Congratulations to the winners of TI9.

OG wins 3-1 against Team Liquid and keeps the aegis, becoming the first back to back champions in Dota 2 history and most accomplished esports team of all time. Well played, Ana, Topson, Ceb, jerAx and n0tail!

Even more impressive, they did it with the same squad that won the Aegis the first time. That's an achievement that's going to be extremely difficult to replicate. The way the team just meshed together so well made their games so much fun to watch, since they were so comfortable with each other that they were literally clowning around during matches just for fun (ana literally bodyblocking N0tail so he'd get killed during a retreat, Jerax throwing Miracle's Bristleback to a group of Ancient Creeps just to style on him, fountain-diving during the Grand Finals).

Game 2 especially was jaw-dropping. I don't think I've ever seen a team move across the map as fast as OG did in that game.

The only series that comes close to the intensity and rapid response that OG had during the Grand Finals was the Mineski-Secret series.

I felt so bad for Liquid during Games 3 and 4, though. Like, god damn, it's fucking nuts just how many sub-25 minute games OG managed to force out this entire tournament. The coordination between Jerax's Tiny and Ana's Void was almost inhuman.

Team announcements for Midas Mode 2.

Hoping for an El Classico between TI1 Na'Vi team and TI3 Alliance team.

My hype went through the roof with the fact that Slacks managed to get TI1 Na'Vi and TI3 Alliance together for this tournament. Also, the fact that Ana and Topson are more than happy to do this tournament despite their break announcement than any DPC tourney outside of TI.
