Switch it with Father/Son, and you basically get Astro Boy. :)

But didn't Astro Boy's dad throw him away (or sell him? can't remember) because he wasn't son enough?

...oh dear.

Ah, so here's the context of the brother quote.

It was Don Hall talking about it. So, that idea will hopefully stay in.

So, now knowing the context of what the director has done in the past, I'm sure this film will be very emotional.

So....

This is rather obvious, but I assume we won't be seeing Silver Samurai or Sunfire in this movie.

Why would we expect X-Men characters?

True. I'd forgotten they are both that.

It's just that they were both a part of the original Big Hero 6 mini.

Funny thing is, most people who aren't comic fans wouldn't know Silver Samurai except from The Wolverine, so they'd likely be wondering why he's neither an old man, and a good guy.

Nope. Rights issues, and it's not strictly a Marvel movie at this point.

Yeah, it's basically Disney Animation taking an obscure superhero group and putting their own spin on it.

T.J. Miller. He's done a lot of comedic stuff and voices Tuffnut in How To Train Your Dragon.

Article raises a good point about the whole casting news happening this late when the movies scheduled to come out later this year. Maybe my perception is off, but I thought voice acting tended to happen really early on in the process in order to work the characters animations around it.

.. are you saying the ANNOUNCEMENTS of the actors are coming in late, or the ACTUAL RECORDINGS of the actors are being made late? There's a difference.

Wreck-It Ralph was first publicly announced around 5 months before its release too. It's not uncommon.

Ok, maybe I misread or misunderstood what the article was saying.

I think they mean announcements of the cast members. No one would cast a main role this late.

The most we have on this film are a few descriptions, some concept art, character silhouettes, and that test footage from before.

@Shota: That's reassuring about movie announcements, but I am kind of hoping for something more solid. It's weird that they still don't have much to show, even at Cinema Con.

Yeah whenever a studio procrastinates in telling us or showing us any film they produce, it's the first sign that they do NOT have high hopes for it! I hope this isn't the case here.

Well, Wreck-it Ralph turned out good, so there may not really be due cause for concern.

The movie comes out in 8 months, and voice actors aren't really important in the long run. No fuss is needed.

As in, knowing who the voice actors are months prior to release isn't really a big deal.
