Hey Kamio is pretty high up, let's see if they can keep it up.
…Oh yeah, I hadn't noticed Neø:lation was out. >.> Higuma's head will roll next issue, most likely.
A bit surprised about Kamio's performance, yeah. It hasn't really been outstanding so far.
As for the future new series… unless Samurai 8 bombs spectacularly, I'm afraid Tokyo Shinobi Squad is doomed in advance.

Flippé de participer à ce grand souper, je veux juste m'occuper de taper mon propre tempo. That was my take as well.
Surprised that Neverland got 1st over Dr. Stone, considering the former was almost filler-like this week and the latter had a Wham Episode. But yeah, there's the anime, the ranking isn't always valid for successful series, etc.
... And that's called jazz! The TOCs aren't made based on this week's chapters (I mean, how do you make reader-based rankings of chapters people haven't read yet?) Nor on the previous week's chapters for that matter; there's always a delay since magazine issues are prepared weeks in advance and gathering all the votes takes time.

Flippé de participer à ce grand souper, je veux juste m'occuper de taper mon propre tempo.Didn't get super into ne0 but I'm gonna miss Higuma when it goes. And the axe is hovering when it just started expanding the setting, too.
I think I'll drop Yui Kamio, personally - it's really not for me, for a multitude of reasons. Shame about Neo;lation and Higuma, not that I'm surprised, of course.
Glad to see Chainsawman's doing well, at least.
Oh God! Natural light! You mean different from gag manga (which are comedy already)?
Thanks for clarifying. This actually explains a lot, come to think of it.
... And that's called jazz! What gag manga's running in Jump?
From what I understand the ratings are typically eight chapters behind the most current chapter.
I'll be honest that Ne 0 getting axed isn't even surprising in the slightest but I do feel bad a bit though as the story try to improve. Maybe the reason why it got so low on Shonen Jump rankings to the point that it got axed is probably due to the first impression regarding Ne 0 being a rather OP and rather unlikable protagonist which is understandable despite he was fleshed out a bit in later chapters.
Even then, I do feel pity with the author of Ne 0 and hopefully even if the manga got cancelled, I still hope he can improve for his future works.
Also yeah, the axe for Higuma kind of scares me though I'm glad that Chainsaw Man is doing better...Hopefully it won't get axed at later future.
Also, @Silent Edge I thought that there will be a new series from Yuusei Matsui but I could be wrong and those three series seems interesting I guess? I'm also following Samurai 8 so no issue. Hopefully they won't get axed but we'll see how they fare in Shonen Jump.
"Making screw-ups and mistakes was I ever really good at. Because everything I touch went to hell."Teenage Renaissance! David-kun and Jimoto ga Japan, IIRC.
... And that's called jazz!Oh, them. I wouldn't expect them to influence the ranking much when they're not getting ranked themselves.
Oh yeah. My point was more on the "people were asking for a comedy series", considering Jump already has two comedy series running atm. Maybe people wanted an action series with more comic tones, but not so, err... "gag-y"?
... And that's called jazz! What I'm getting at is that Renaissance David or whatever might have snapped up those votes if it was an option, but if you like comedy more than anything else and there's only one comedy you can vote for you're probably gonna vote for that.
I'm pretty sure you actually can vote for them, it just won't affect their placement. The publishers still need a way to gauge their popularity after all.
Well in that case I got nothing on what's up with Kamio.
One hell of a jump for Chainsawman.
As for the upcoming manga, the one I see being a hit is Samurai 8, for a few reasons: 1. Masashi Kishimoto's name recognition. 2. He had allegedly been working on this since a few months after Naruto ended, which had been four years. I think this is a sign that he wants to avoid the same mistake he made with Naruto and plan the story from beginning to end before publication.
EDIT: My mistake. He started planning Samurai 8 since 2016.

3 years is still a long prep for a series.
Some news from the oricon top, as there were several Jump releases last week:
- My Hero Academia 23 sold 255,103 copies.
- Jujutsu Kaisen 5 sold 84,006 copies… which is much less than volume 4's first week (98k), strangely enough?
- Act-Age 6 sold 54,353 copies, so still on the rise.
- Kinnikuman 67 sold 51,159 copies, and I only mention this because I had no idea this series was still running. ò.Ô
- Chainsawman 2 sold 26,382 copies, which is about on par with volume 1.
Higuma is done.
Front color: Samurai 8 (new series by Kishimoto Masashi & Ookubo Akira)
Center color: Dr. Stone, Jujutsu Kaisen, Haikyuu!!
Not ranked: Shishunki Renaissance! David-kun, Jimoto ga Japan
1. One Piece
2. Yakusoku no Neverland
3. Kimetsu no Yaiba
4. Bokutachi wa Benkyou ga Dekinai
5. Black Clover
6. Act-Age
7. Chainsawman
8. Kamio Yui wa Kami wo Yui
9. Boku no Hero Academia
10. Hinomaru Zumou
11. Yuragi-sou no Yuuna-san
12. Saigo no Saiyuuki 13. Gokutei Higuma
14. Shokugeki no Souma
Saiyuuki in a tough spot. :x Hang in there, kid!
Flippé de participer à ce grand souper, je veux juste m'occuper de taper mon propre tempo.Looks like Chainsawman is going to survive. Nice. It probably is doing it on sheer shock value though because its so wild.
Great to see CM ended up rising in terms of ranks... Still crossing my fingers though.
And really oof for Saiyuki while hoping that it could survive. Meanwhile, Rest in Pepperonis for Higuma and Ne 0;lation. The latter got cancelled around Chapter 19 right?
Also, how on earth Yui Kamio could score this high though? :P
"Making screw-ups and mistakes was I ever really good at. Because everything I touch went to hell."Higuma will get a tie-up chapter in July, apparently. Maybe double or triple sized to fit in the big battle.

Also Neolation is axed, surprising no one.
