Scream is one of the symbiote spinoffs. The yellow one who got to be in the cool theme park ride.

To be more clear, Andrea "Andi" Benton sidekick of Agent Venom and former wielder of the Mania symbiote, became the wielder of the Scream symbiote during Absolute Carnage, and after the event she got her own ongoing titled Scream: Curse of Carnage. As said the writer is Clay Chapman & artist Chris Mooneyham.

To quote the page, "Unfortunately, Scream: Curse of Carnage was abruptly Cut Short in July 2020 due to low sales, as a result of the Coronavirus pandemic preventing the sale of physical copies for several months".

It got cancelled at issue 6, literally one issue into the start of its next arc.

I think again this retcon like Squirrel Girl being made ambiguous about her mutant status has made mutants too cloistered in the X-Men franchise. Seriously, I am more annoyed with Marvel doing this.

I'd argue that Squirrel Girl's new origin(s) is better.

And if the X books are going to have huge stuff affecting Every Mutant, its going to disincentive making characters mutants just to grow the universe.

Like how Kamala and Lunella had to ignore the stuff going on with Death of the Inhumans because it would really mess up what they were doing.

The X books need to learn some chill.

Yeah I'd also argue that Squirrel Girl's "Well it could be anything" origin fits the more comedic/parodic nature of the character.

She could be a Mutant or it could be from her mother eating a radioactive nut. Who could say.

[up] Shit now that you brought it up, Kamala & Moon Girl are both Inhumans yet have no involvement with the actual Inhuman society.

Makes all this retconning of none X-Men Mutants even dumber.

Well, some characters like Franklin have been tied with the X-Men franchise. So, it was stupid retconning it.

Not really, he's usually can't use his powers and effectively treated like a regular human most of the time.

While he has made appearances in X-Men stories, they tend to be very sparse & from alternate time-lines for the most part.

Granted I think Rachel Summers once dated him in her future.

They even had a Kid from the Future who turned out to be a supervillain with power over the four fundamental forces of nature. Then Galactus ate him.

Damn Galactus and his consumption.

Good thing Thor killed him. Sure he'll come back one of these days, but someone had to do it regardless.

In that case Galactus did a good thing. The FF even summoned him just to stop said evil Kid from the Future. Hyperstorm (yes that's the name he went with) was seriously bad news.

Whoa I just realized.

So Rachel and a Franklin from the future produced a kid who came from the further future.

Which begs the question, who's gonna come from the further further future?

Holy fuck in at least one time-line, Scott and Jean are in-laws to Reed and Sue.

Which means Reed is eligible to fight for the right of grillmaster in the big family barbecue of the Pyms, Summers, Eisenhardts, & Boltagons.

Maybe, except I'm pretty sure Hyperstorm killed them all. Or the Sentinels killed them all. Which makes family barbecues rather trickier to plan.

It wasn't a very bright future.

Well there’s prolly another timeline where things went well & Hyperstorm didn’t go all serial killer. tongue

Nope. Probably because it took being in a Bad Future where Sentinels took over to get Franklin and Rachel to hook up in the first place. The romance between them started in a mutant camp.

I mean, unless you're one of the big name mutants, you can avoid most of the X-Men events pretty easily.Like, before the retcon, Squirrel Girl didn't do that much stuff with the X-Men. She mostly interacted with Iron Man and Speedball.

[up][up] Still ya know potential for interesting interactions.

Maybe she’d like to see what his life is like now that the bad future has come to pass or Reed and Sue are grateful to her for preventing a future where their son suffers greatly.

It’s why I love when a character from a different franchise is brought in & majorly helps out. It’s one of the best parts of the hero-verse of Marvel & DC, the interconnection between the various disparate franchises.

[up] Also Justice from New Warriors. Guy’s not even involved in any Krakoa stuff, he’s over on in the Outlawed teen event instead.

Nah, it'd just be kind of awkward and maybe a tad creepy to regularly interact with the younger self of your alternate future lover. Especially if they're underage and you're an adult.

I don't think Rachel ever really interacted with Franklin, but she has been in his vicinity, and he just reminded her of the Franklin she lost. At most, Rachel may have exchanged a few words with him.

[up] Speaking of, did anyone find the Jamie and Layla Relationship Upgrade in Peter David's X-Factor somewhat troubling since Jamie was introduced to her when she was a kid and then she came back as an adult?

[up] Yep. It was weird and creepy and gross, and absolutely par for the course for a long-time comic writer. PAD cut his teeth in the '80s, where cape comics were full of gross age differences. So no surprise he would've seen no problem with Layla/Madrox.
