^ Contradict? I thought Ubi said in the interview that you can actually eliminate the guy in some other ways...

Give me cute or give me...something?I do like the idea of collateral damage in video games... you could actually see the moment when the woman got killed, after the accident, because the guy opened up at you and she was in the way. Sure, you didn't shoot her, but if you didn't cause that accident none of those people would have been hurt or killed. Though I don't think that'll stop people from doing a "chaos" run where you just do whatever it takes. That'd probably be insanely fun in it's own right.
Interesting thoughts. I hope even if it was scripted for E3, it does turn into a non-scripted event later in development, because this whole game is really interesting to me. I'd love to see how he gets the backdoors and such in...
Also, co-op? Co-op that blends the gameplay together? Sweet. Though I hope it's really got enough open world you can just run around and find things to do.
EDIT: That's what he meant, the quote mentions some stuff was scripted some wasn't, but the interview hinted that it wouldn't be and you could do other things.
Also, it's probably been mentioned, but just because I'm so happy about it:
Dominic Guay: Yeah, we’re running on PC at E3.
RPS: Good. Then all is as it should be. Otherwise, I wouldn’t have felt right about thanking you for your time.

"The fact that your food can be made into makeshift bombs alarms the Hell out of me, Scrye." - CharlatanCoop idea remind me of Demons Souls and/or Dark Souls. Which is good.
In theory.
I notice there's been a third thread created about this game. Is it possible to change the title of this so that it actually shows up when people search?
Man, this game looks amazing. I am so getting this. That's a good idea. When I was searching for a thread on this game, I only found one of those other threads, with a link to this one.

The main issue seems to be people searching for "Watch Dogs" while the title is "Watch_Dogs"
@metaphysician: Besides the U-pad, the Wii U will have a pro controller that's functionally identical to Xbox and PS 3 controllers. If the developers didn't want to add something to utilize the controller screen, they could easily port the game without control changes, and the option of regular controls shouldn't make the U-pad hinder sales.

Well when they announce the 720PS4 then I will believe it. On the other hand there might be a reason the demo was done on the PC at a usually console favored even.
Apocalypse: Dirge Of Swans.I guess that explains the vagueness of this little snippet.
If it is being released on next-gen consoles, then it kind of confirms a feeling I've had about "how much better can graphics get, really?". Watch Dogs' graphics, while impressive, don't seem to me to have been as much as a jump in improvement as previous generations.

my cousin used some logic to confirm that it will probably be on next gen consoles, since they a) mentioned it will be on "consoles" and b) the version of unreal that the game is running on isn't supported by the current gen.
"Never let the truth get in the way of a good story." TwitterIf this is going to be a launch title for the next-gen systems, I doubt it'll be here for a while.
rumors have the 720 being announced with a 2013 release, and Sony always comes in shortly thereafter.
"Never let the truth get in the way of a good story." Twitterwhat is CTOS?
Central Operating System. The Master Computer that runs the entire city which allows Mr Uber Hacker's magical iPhone to wreak havoc.
The graphics are amazing for an open world game.
Jonah FalconThis. Try comparing Grand Theft Auto IV to this then we'll talk.

why would I want to compare it to GTA when Skyrim exists?
"Never let the truth get in the way of a good story." TwitterSkyrim pales to Watch Dogs. For one, let's look at the character models. Then the weather effects. Then the number of polygons in the environment.
Jonah FalconPolygon count isn't the determining factor on whether something looks nice or not—it's the overall aesthetic, design, composition, etc.
YMMV, but I much prefer the full color spectrum◊ of Skyrim despite the weak bump mapping◊ to the gray+bloom+noir of what we've seen so far of Watch_Dogs.

"Never let the truth get in the way of a good story." TwitterAgreed, aesthetics are always more important than graphics, which is why its sad how some developers waste money on making them look as shiny as possible but still having final product being boring looking
my faith in humanity was restored yesterday when I was watching my nephews play with their dad's old SNES having ridiculous amounts of fun with Mario and Duck Hunt and not batting an eye at the graphics.

Cross-post from the main E3 thread:
todayyesterday with an interview about Watch Dogs that included another game-play vid. I'm fairly sure that you have to cause that crash, the timing of the crash is determined by the distance the target car is from the intersection, and some of the cars involved in the crash are scripted (the "rescue" was still in the exact same place) but most of the cars involved were in different positions. This means you will have to get rid of the guards slightly differently each time.A little contradictory to what was mentioned in that interview, but not significantly.
Also, the comments of that interview are pretty good even if they won't let the dog puns/jokes lie. It is enough to give me paws and wonder why we haven't done that yet.
