The story is worth it, and I actually like some of the games puzzles

Something something Kazuichi’s birthday

Meh.

He came across as too much of Hagakure retread for my liking.

He's more useful than Hiro, which WOULD make him less annoying if it wasn't for his fawning over Sonia, which kinda goes into creepy territory at times. So it sorta evens out.

I may be biased since Hagakure's my favorite DR 1 character, but he's definitely the least annoying comic relief character in my mind.

Luckily, V3 generally has a much better balance when it comes to its characters.

For the rest of the Hopes Peak saga, on the other hand...

I guess my liking of Kazuichi is an unpopular opinion around this joint. ^_^;

I'm fine with him mostly because I like Nico B's interpretation of the guy.

On the other hand Hagakure is the the Larry Butz of the series, so nothing of value is lost, there.

I don't like Souda in the main story, but he's got some really great Free Time Events.

Happy Birthday to Hagakure's mom! She was one of the best parts of UDG, and how can she have a kid in his 20s and still look like that?

Twenty years is a long enough time for her to get back into shape after giving birth. Plus Danganronpa isn't really in the business of being realistic so...

I'm surprised she isn't more disappointed with her son.

Hmmmmmm. It probably has something to do with how she was the first to snap and try to escape by attempting murder and planning to frame someone who trusted and cared about her. Prooobably.
