Okay, here you go;

•Name: Maro Seth

•Age: 14

•Gender: Male

•Element: Water

•Family: Maro's parents were both waterbenders, but died when Maro was young. Maro lives with his uncle (Antu) now, along with his younger sister (Shiri) who is only 10.

•Occupation: Maro works at a shop that sells plants of many types of trees, flowers and bushes.

•Specialization: Plantbending.

•Appearance: Maro has the typical brown skin and black hair of all waterbenders. His eyes are deep blue, but are often covered by his hair which is fairly long. Maro is short and pretty thin .He wears a a long sleeved blue shirt and long black pants.

•Skills: Obviously a skilled waterbender, Maro is also good with plants, and normally gets on with animals very well. He can swim extremely well too.

•Personality: Maro is very quiet, and doesn't have many friends. He is generally a pacifist, but if something makes him angry enough, or he realizes something can’t be solved without violence he will use his bending. He is a very honest and caring person, and because he has few friends he tends to try to protect them at all costs.

•History: Maro’s mother died giving birth to his sister, and his father died a year later, in a hunting accident. As such, Maro doesn’t remember much about his parents, other than that they cared for him very much. After his father died, Maro was moved into his uncle’s care. Maro’s uncle taught him the basics of bending, and Maro spent lots of time practicing waterbending, but he often got picked on for being a loner and having no parents. Despite the large amounts of provocation Maro never lost his temper and attacked his bullies with waterbending. However, one day Maro saw the bullies picking on another kid who had also lost his parents. Maro lost his temper and fought off the bullies, becoming firm friends with the kid who was called Shin. Maro started to teach Shin how to bend after that, and the two were almost never seen apart. One day Shin found out about the academy and told Maro. Maro suggested that they should both go, but Shin, knowing he was not good enough at bending to be accepted, told Maro to go. It took a lot of convincing but eventually Maro left the Northern water tribe to join the academy alone. Once he arived he discovered to his delight the great variety of plants found in warmer climes than the North pole. He quickly found a shop willing to take him on and teach him about plants, and has been working there while attending the academy since.

Other: Not much other than that He's a prime target for bullies at the accademy...

•Name:Zoren Shigeki

•Age: 14

•Gender: Male

•Element:Earth

•Family:Firebending father, Non-bending Fire Nation mother.

•Occupation: Student, but Zoren does oddjobs around town to get extra income.

•Specialization: Metalbending

•Appearance: Zoren has brown, short cropped hair, gray eyes, and is somewhat tan. He is fit, but lean. His skin has occasional spots of discoloration that are a bit redder at random over his body.

•Skills: Zoren has been trained in dual swords and knives, traditional fire nation martial arts, and he knows proper etiguette for the Agni Kai. He was a very quick study of Earthbending, quick enough to gain entry into the Academy. He has shown the ability to metalbend, though currently not to any great degree.

•Personality: Zoren is somewhat quick to anger, but even faster to make amends. He is generally reserved, but there are moments when he shows quite a lot of passion, especially in the defense of others.

•History: Zoren grew up spending hours upon hours with his father, who taught him martial arts, etiquette, and the basic movements of firebending. One day, while quite angry, Zoren moved his first rock. This strangely coincided with Zoren becoming very....clumsy. His mother often chided him for having such frequent bruises and getting to close to the fire. His father also began to work much more frequently, and was often away from home. Zoren practiced his earthbending at a childhood friends house, whose father was an Earthbender. He gained a high degree of proficiency relatively quickly, which his parents discovered when he was accepted at the academy. Zoren has since moved into the academy, and quite coincidentally has grown out of his clumsy stage.

• Name: Bakal Kalooban
• Age: Late 30s
• Gender: Male
• Element: Earth
• Family: Deceased parents
• Occupation: Metalbending Master
• Specialization: Metalbending
• Appearance: Bakal managed to keep his armor from his days as a police officer, and still wears it in public to this day. The only addition to his appearance is a strip of cloth that he wears over his eyes, since he no longer needs them. Bakal is 6' 1" and about 190 lbs without his armor. He looks like a regular earthbender, with brown hair so dark it can be mistaken for black, and eyes that were once brown.
• Skills: Bakal is a very powerful metal and earthbender, a skilled martial artist and weapons master, and a competent detective. Since he lost his sight, Bakal has trained his other senses to be greater than most people, especially his senses of touch and hearing. Bakal is also practiced in navigating Republic City using unorthodox methods.
• Personality: Bakal is a very stern and stoic man. He keeps many of his thoughts to himself, but will be frank when he speaks. He is very intolerant of those with a disdain of authority and the law, whipping his students into shape to become proper police officers in the future. Bakal does retain a soft spot for students with tough lives, personal issues, and disabilities. But that sympathy he shares with them doesn't overlap into classes, often being harder on them than he is on his usual students. Bakal is also distrustful of most of his fellow teachers, especially the Sandbending master.
• History: Bakal led a normal life in Republic City, acting like a regular child of a blacksmith and a chef would, learning from his parents while honing his bending skills. Eventually Bakal became a police officer at the age of nineteen, and remained an officer until he was twenty-three. At that time, he realized that one of his friends was a Dirty Cop working with the Triple Threat Triad. In attempting to report him, his parents were murdered. In a final confrontation, the traitor slashed Bakal's eyes before he was killed in what was the last time Bakal showed real rage. Blinded forever, Bakal lost his ability to trust in his fellow officers and left the police force. He eventually found a job as the new metal bending master of the Academy.

• Name: Bo
• Age: 15
• Gender: Male
• Element: Earth
• Family: Two brothers and parents, living in Omashu. All three boys can earthbend. So can their mother.
• Occupation: Nothing, yet. Ultimate goal: Police Force
• Specialization: Metal
• Appearance: About medium build, pretty tall. Brown eyes, short black hair. Has kind of an awkward half-smile as his default smile. Default expression, though, is kind of serious.
• Skills: Trained in more traditional bending style in Omashu. Possesses reasonable intelligence. Great runner.
• Personality: Very driven, very focused. Takes things almost too seriously a lot of the time, and very dismissive of what gets in the way of his goal. Upholds the law to the best of his ability and is very strict about others doing the same. Kind of idealistic in that sense.

History: Grew up and trained in Omashu with the ultimate goal of going to Republic City to learn metalbending and join the police force. Did odd jobs until he had the money and took off. Other: I don't know, I'll think of it later.

Sorry for not being around for the last 2.5 weeks. We're still going, if everyone's still here. We need a new Blue Firebending student though, since lawarose24 can't play right now.

Name: Phoenix

Age: 15

Gender: Male

Element: Fire

Family: Non-bending father, mother and sister. Deceased.

Occupation: Chef

Specialization: Blue Fire

Appearance- Phoenix has brown hair and blue eyes. He is 5'9. Phoenix is in terrific. He has a thin build, not a bulky one.

Skills- Phoenix is a talented hand to hand fighter. He is an incredible skilled firebender for someone that taught himself. Due to the fact that he taught himself, he still needs to learn somethings that every other firebender at the academy knows. He likes throw fire so that he intentionally misses and controls it so it attacks his opponent at an angle there not expecting. He is talented at attacking at a long range. He is a good chef.

Personality: Phoenix is a good person and he is friendly but he is also a complete battle maniac. He loves nothing more than to fight.

History: When he was six his house burned down and his family died, leaving him the only survivor. He has no memory of anything that happened before the fire and gave himself the name Phoenix, with the idea being the old him died in the fire and was reborn as a new person from its ashes. He lived on the streets for 2 years before getting a job at a restaurant as a chef. Over the years he taught himself firebending and saved up money and at 15 he felt he had enough money, and he felt he was a good enough bender that he applied and was accepted to the academy.

• Name:Rubus Eudicot
• Age: 16
• Gender: Male
• Element:Earth
• Family: Smithing family that used to be well known for it's production of weapons and strong benders, but have since declined due to increasing modernization. Nothing else of note.
• Occupation: Has a job at a flower shop.
• Specialization: Family would love to have Rubus be a metal bender, but he is more interested in sand bending.
• Appearance: Tall, at 6' 6", and is thus awkward, clumsy, gawky, and tends to stare down at people without realizing it. Is usually mistaken to be a teacher, since he doesn't speak much to give away his more youthful personality. Neck length dark brown hair, and relatively darkish brown skin. Golden eyes though, which he got from his grandmother on his mother's side, who was from the Fire Nation.
• Skills: Fairly competent earth bender, but lacks the solidity of a traditional one, something he's received much flak for from his parents and grandparents, and is thus self conscious about it. He was taught how to metal bend at a young age, but can barely use it for anything more than "oh look I can make this spoon bend with just my thumb!" When it comes to earthbending, he has a tendency to wall himself in, and expand from there, and is frequently a strategy he falls back on.
• Personality: Bit of a wet towel, a sour resigned expression by default, and is a bit introverted as well. He really likes beaches though, and occasionally gets romantic when seeing them. Nature in general really fascinates him, and he sometimes wishes he was born a Waterbender, because they can control plants to a degree.
• History: Grew up in a stable, formerly old money, if slightly lower class family. Felt lots of pressure to do well, and was sent here as a result. Saved up money to afford his own apartment, which is extremely small, but comfortable.
• Other: Wants to be a cartographer, and take maps. Especially of deserts and beaches.

Okay, as the active cohost of this RP, I'm gonna have to reboot this one with another co-GM. Hyena isn't all that active on the forums right now, and he isn't really as into R Ping as I am. I'd love to see this story come to life with another co-GM who has an idea as to what could make a good story, but until another cohost shows up, I'm gonna have to put this in indefinite hold.

Sorry, guys. Oh, and for all the people who posted characters in the last few days, you'd be accepted. And you'd be accepted again if we rebooted this RP.

Honestly, I think you're better off just starting slice-of-lifey first, and let the plot come about after a longer period of time. Or start with something big, and let the characters work it out.
