I really loved this show. I felt like it kind of had a bad rap in certain circles when it was on (some people in the now-defunct PPG World forum accused it of being a Powerpuff Girls rip-off, which I didn't really see), but I always enjoyed it. I thought the girls were really likeable, the stories were interesting, and the action was cool. I think my favorite episode was probably "Soul Collector" (the one where that villain was draining youth from kids, for those who don't know).
“Imagination is more important than knowledge." -Albert EinsteinOh, Totally Spies. So much nostalgia. <3
Sam was my favorite because she was the smartest (some amazing elementary school logic there). I loved Alex as well, but I didn't really like Clover when I originally watched the show. Now that I've watched some episodes again, I'm definitely more fond of her.
♥ ♦ ♠ ♣Me, I thought that Helga villain was the worst one in the series, because she turned poor Clover into an animal. Plus, her plans were twisted in a bad kind of way.
I also found Mandy annoying and saw Alex as a Woobie sometimes, while Sam was the Only Sane Woman.

There's going to be a sixth season?
I'll watch for nostalgia.
The world isn't ready for giant T4 combustion. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2GbpGiYmBSs http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lKm9That's nuts how it's getting a 6th season. I didn't expect this to run for a long time.
Don't Press Your Luck too many times in life. You'll just get whammied....It's only because it's popular in its native country (France). Otherwise, I was fine with there only being 4-5 seasons (and even that seems like excess for a show like this, whether I'm a fan of it, or not...).
Even if I had different face, I AM STILL DISGRACED.So, today I've seen the first episode of season six (The Anti-Social Network), and there were a few points.
- The new intro, at least in Dutch, was just fucking terrible. But it might just be because it's in Dutch.
- The art style feels a bit of a step back from season 5. I mean, it mostly looks similar to the previous seasons, but it just feels a bit less refined. Mandy has got a slight bump of the ugly stick it seems, the one thing I really liked about the previous seasons was that Mandy was supposed to be this hot but bitchy chick. It might just be that it's off-model though, and it might just be this episode.
- The story itself also feels like a small step back. It seems like last season's finale actually didn't matter at all, as nothing about that episode got any explanation, it's just a regular day for the spies, and they acted like nothing really happened to WOOHP. Also minor other stuff, like the fact that Clover seems to be forgetting she still has a boyfriend back in Australia, or that Mandy for some reason has forgotten that Sam, Alex and Clover were spies (or that they were friends). I mean, it could have used some explanations, like, Clover broke up with Blaine, and that Mandy got another mind wipe before the start of this season.
- Having said that, this episode wasn't bad at all. The villain's reasons were kind of bullshit, which is exactly what you should expect from Totally Spies.
All in all, I'm excited for the next episode, which apparently will air tomorrow or at least this week.

Signatures are for lamers.I'm guessing it's only on in other countries at the time, right? Can I have a Youtube link if there even is one?
Dakota's blog An odd agent of justiceYeah, the Netherlands, according to Wikipedia, got it first, so I don't think there would be even Youtube vids.
You know, because the Dutch are kind of lame in that regard.
EDIT: No wait, never mind, it's on You Tube.

Signatures are for lamers. Most importantly, do the girls still get tied up every episode?
Bondage fetish?
Dakota's blog An odd agent of justiceWell, come on. The show wasn't exactly subtle about it.
I have no idea, Disney Infinity made me miss today's episode. The first episode was bondage free though.
EDIT: Episode two has sort-of tied up, although it's far from hot...
Unlike catgirl Alex. And the villain, who probably is called Feline Dion or something stupid. She's fucking hot though, and even sports sort-of glasses.

Signatures are for lamers.I watched it off and on back in the day. One of those if I'm flipping through the channels and I see it, I'll stop to watch. It never captured my full attention but I liked it well enough.
F Irst role I can remember hearing Jennifer Hale in. Well, for cartoons.
Love Clover. Then again, I enjoy that type of character. Good Bad Girl types are very attractive...like Roz from Frasier.
I remember that I really liked the theme song.
I feel like Marathon Media has a running thing going with the Radar. Totally Spies had skin-tight suits, bondage, and the occasional bout of mind control. Martin Mystery made the lead and his girl into siblings but (much like Di C and Sailor Moon's edits for Michiru and Haruka) conveniently failed to remove the subtext, creating something much less appropriate. And then... there's Loli Rock
Marathon media: Teaching your kid's that sexual innuendo is perfectly sutable for the family.
Dakota's blog An odd agent of justiceHow about Team Galaxy and Monster Buster Club then?
Signatures are for lamers.Monster Buster Club had a super-flexible bubbly blond chick. I'm pretty sure MM knew what most other guys would want from her.
Never watched Team Galaxy, but I bet there's some school-age sexual innuendo in there as well.
Dakota's blog An odd agent of justiceLast episode was a bit too nerdy for my taste, and the use of hexadecimal and throwing around such terms as hexadecimal and binary was pretty much cringe-worthy. Also the fact that they had to introduce yet another foil for the spies' private lives.
Signatures are for lamers.Justified bump I guess?
Anyway, last two episodes I haven't covered yet.
First, the episode about the dance show thingy. I don't know what to think about it, mostly because I have no freaking idea what it was about anymore, other than some dance competition and the villain being the dance show host (duh, everybody knows that from the beginning). Also, he has two left feet. Gross.
Second, the episode about the beauty pageant. Finally a villain with a valid reason to do what she does, and she's not an outright villain, just someone who did something bad / stupid. Also, apparently there's a small callback to a season four villain, but I'm not sure which villain it is.
EDIT: Just saw the sixth episode, and Alex is so adorable! If I were to ever have a daughter, I'd like her to be just like her! Except a bit smarter, preferably as smart as Sam.

Signatures are for lamers.Episode seven and eight have now been watched.
Overall I think this episode was fucking stupid. The B-plot about Sam needing to find a good anniversary present for her parent's 20 years of marriage is meh at best, and the main plot, where weddings are ruined because the creator of the dresses was a famous designer for wedding dresses, but thought it was bullshit that brides only wore her dresses once. On their wedding. Yeah. Pretty fucking stupid. On the plus side, Sam looked fucking cute as fuck in the scene at the beginning of the episode◊.
That in contrary to the next episode◊. And yes, she wore that hairdo the entire fucking episode. On the plus side, though, Captain Heyes is back, this time kidnapping celebrities to become one himself. It makes sense in context.
Signatures are for lamers. Is it me, or the character designs look somewhat... more youthful and less 'mature' now? I also could swear their heads seem slightly bigger than they used to be.
That's just these stills though.
Here are some◊ of episode two◊ of the sixth◊ season◊.
Signatures are for lamers.Ah, good. I was kinda actually worried there for a moment.
It didn't help she was a lampshaded case of Master of None and a frequent The Load. Meanwhile the science geek did next to everything in a lot of missions while the athletic tomboy shifted in and out either extreme.
