I just finished it. I'm happy to say it's one of those rare anime where I'm actually 100% satisfied with the ending. A definite buy for me when it comes over.
Don't mind me. I'm just a creepy little lurker. An excellent end to an excellent show. Definitely a keeper.
It's been fun.Hm...I actually wasn't 100% satisfied with the ending, even though I was happy with it and the show overall is amazing. It would have been nice if everyone in the cast had a big party, and if the scene with Haru returning after the credits had been a minute longer. And if Urara would have stated his motive instead of just being all "Oops, sorry guys. My name is Urara. Aren't I the cyootest? Plz dun be madz."
Also, even though it is funny and cute, I just don't understand how Uraran wasn't put in alien prison, let alone how he was allowed to return to Earth. I guess Haru's planet is just way too friendly to punish criminals who are also no more than fun-loving trolls.
Seriously, they must come from some super-ideal rainbow candy-apple underwater paradise where everyone loves everyone else.
Yeah, that theory probably makes the most sense.

Loves feel-good animation a whole lot.I've heard a theory that his power overwhelmed him and he went insane or couldn't control it.
Also, it's possible he was punished during the six months he wasn't on earth.
I love Tsuritama...and apparently my college anime club does too, even though I expected everybody to hate the crap out of it!
How could anybody hate Tsuritama??? You'd have to be a fish to hate it!
Loves feel-good animation a whole lot. You'd be surprised. I was the only one in my group that liked it. Everyone else found it meh or offensively boring.
Tsuritama is awesome. I can relate with Yuki a lot~!
I'm in despair! The poor taste in entertainment of the general public has left me in despair!
Loves feel-good animation a whole lot.Likewise, my sister and I loved the show! It's stupid how people wouldn't like the series unless it has some romance involved.
The stupid Twilight generation.
It had Ayumi and Misaki. *

Loves feel-good animation a whole lot.Weeeeeeeeeeell, dunno if that's counted. And Sakura plus Yuki. >_<
People hating Yuki just because of a stupid glare looking face. Like Kodaka frm Boku Wa Tomadachi Sukanai. Gah.
Huh? Yuki's love interest was Haru. Did Sakura even get any lines?
And Yuki's demon face is his most attractive feature.
Loves feel-good animation a whole lot.Yuki is the handsoet man ever.
Also Sugita. How can anyone hate Sugita?!
So uh, does anyone who has a knack for the technical magic want to create a character sheet for this series? (I'd rather just pass the duck.)

Loves feel-good animation a whole lot.I don't even know how to post images, so I don't think I can do it.
I do, but I don't know how to create the page itself.
Loves feel-good animation a whole lot.You go to the anime/manga Character index thing and add Characters/Tsuritama to the main Index, then click on the link and create the page.
I'll do it The linking for you tomorrow.
Okay, here! Edit away!
Righteous, I will do what I have the energy to do!
Edit: It's beautiful. So far.

Loves feel-good animation a whole lot.Nice~! Thanks. This anime needs more love.
Okay, so I went and watched the first episode after finishing the series. So many Call Backs! Also, Urara was kind of symbolic for me (am I reading too deep into this?) in that the way he acted seemed to mirror Yuki's first day and to better show Yuki's development as a character, how he looked at the person next time him (Erika) and then reacted. At the start of the series, he freaked out. At the end, he smiles and asks the guy to go fishing - sort of like how he became friends with Haru (less aggressively, though).
I do want a sequel/OVA, simply because I want more, but I'm happy with it the way it is, what with the quality of some big animes today.
There is apparently a novel version of it that I have yet to read, but I don't know if it contains extra material.
Edit: It does contain some extra background information, and some additional scenes. Some of it is even a little different from the anime.

Loves feel-good animation a whole lot.Sentai Filmworks is dubbing Tsuritama. Among the 4 leads, Josh Grelle is voicing both Akira and Tapioca. Tiffany Grant is Coco.
That was an epic finale. It was a perfect blend of laughs, tension and awesomeness. No, seriously. When Tapioca danced I laughed while somewhere in my mind I knew that things have gotten worse. Lots of moments like that.
The epilogue is darned good too. Even though they went their separate ways their experiences together still seem to be a major influence on their daily lives.
I'd love an OVA so Urara and female-classmate-who-talks-to-Yuki get more screentime.
