On the other hand they made it so finishing an enemy off with a special a special attack heals a unit's SP so if you upgrade attacks that give you lots of Cross points (XP) you can spam them to use specials while counter attacking on the enemies turn and wipe out a good chunk of their forces.

That is cool. I've been upgrading attacks bit by bit, but maybe I'm gonna change gears a bit and focus on specific attacks that inflict status ailments, or break block more easily.

Edit: though to be honest, I'm still have a bit of trouble building up CP for some of my support units. I gotta do something about that really.

You can still 100 hit combo's you just have to play it well with assists stuff like the slow down and supers.

You'll just have to use the dreaded mirage cancel or a high-hitting super. :)

I'm really awful at Mirage cancel. I just never time it well to be honest.

Plus I hate using up XP when I'm trying to build it up for a big ending super. I know there are ways to restore it, but it's still annoying.

Double post:

I've botched chapter 26 twice. The first time, I let an enemy get too close to the dragon turtle and he was just out of reach. I couldn't get him before he got there.

The second time, I could reach the guy who was going for it, and had two characters hitting him, but he still got there because I underestimated his movement.

It's really annoying to be honest. It might also be the group I'm using, but I'm sticking with them for now.

I just gotta do more damage from the get go.

Edit (2): Alright. Finally done with the latest chapter. I just did more map attacks to either soften up the enemy or kill as many of them as possible outright, then roughed up the bosses. Feels good, and now Haseo and Kite have their map attack. More map attacks are always good I'd say.

I was awful with Mirage Cancel too haha.

Which is why I almost never used it unless i wanted to "show off" (to myself) or just shake it up a bit.

The game's easy enough that I almost never needed to have 150% meter, Mirage Cancel and hope I can pick up the enemy then build and use super just to survive.

edit: At least on Normal. I never bothered to continue any of the PXZ games on Hard.

So I think I've skipped a few chapters already (we're currently in Ryugu Castle).

I slightly regret that the trial ended before it even began. I'd have liked to see Edgeworth and Phoenix go at it. Thanks a lot Sylphie!

Yeah, that chapter was disappointing haha. And not for gameplay reasons, either.

It wasn't the lack of Wright v Edgeworth that I was saddened by, it was the fact that we didn't get to see any of the other cast as AA Witnesses and being cross examined. Hell, i'd pay x2 for a PXZ game that was just an Ace Attorney game.

Doing the Marvel Land Amusement Park chapter, and all I can say is...

Well, I already took out Cisseau and Sheathe, and Mori is still left. There's also the Nemesis and now Raptor and B.B. Hood....

...wait a minute. Why is Hood taking a job from Raptor when she HATES Darkstalkers? Isn't that massively out of character for her?

Finished the above chapter, and the Makai chapter after that. Now in Marvel Land proper.

I knew they were going to reference Segata's final commercial somehow.

Also, X and Zero freaking out at the sight of spikes is never not going to be funny.

Just finished chapter 37.

Didn't expect a reference to Mii and Kogoro at all. They've brought up the Koryujii's but I figured that would be it for actually talking about them considering this game is more of a sequel to Namco × Capcom then anything else.

Ok. I'm on chapter 40. I believe I'm one chapter away from being done.

Most of my characters are level 33 or 34, with the exception of the current group I'm using for this chapter. Unfortunately, as things stand, most of them will reach 33 (where they learn their last abilities) during the last chapter, which means I won't actually get to see what any of these abilities do.

I levelled up a lot slower in this game (and there were no abilities to let you call in support units a second time, along with not being able to use all 5 attack, so there were less combos), but all in all I liked this game. T'was fun. Anyway, I guess I should beat it before I make any reviews or anything. I'll see you when it's finished.

Alright. I've been off for a while due to getting a Switch, along with not having a good pair of headphones (well more like the ones I had didn't connect to the 3DS) but having just fixed that, I just beat the game. Fun little title.

Liked the ending, though I botched the final battle and didn't finish the final boss in one combo like I'd planned, which really annoys me.

I wonder when there will be a PXZ fighting game...

Who knows.

I ended up starting this over again, something I didn't do for the original.

One thing I want to see in a sequel, if Bayonetta is let in, is that Rodin becomes one of the shopkeepers, with the characters going to the Gates of Hell at several points.

Right. So I've just barely started New Game Plus...and I'm trying to remember if when I'm doing it, I should save in the same file, or make a new one. I don't want to undo everything I already have, but I also obviously can't keep playing without saving.

Anyone remember how NG+ works in this?

All items carry over + new difficulty modes unlocked I believe

So just items, not levels?

All CP (all used CP is refunded) carries over as well. Want an attack maxed out at the start of the game? Well here you go! Now go murder some mooks.

My attacks aren't maxed out but they may as well be. I'm annihilating even bosses in one or two mores, and with my utter inability to juggle enemies or time things well to keep combos going, I'm not racking up much in the way of hits.

Still, it's great for speeding things up. Being able to equip good armour and most of my abilities helps as well.
