Well, as someone in the YT comments said, at least video-game patches are free…
Flippé de participer à ce grand souper, je veux juste m'occuper de taper mon propre tempo.Don't give them ideas!
already happened if you don't own the enhanced edition that comes with additional patches
New theme music also a boxI don't know why but Jim's face on a normal cat's body is hilarious to me.
How sad is it that Jim's face on the cat is far more enjoyable than the CGI of Cats?
Instead of focusing on relatives that divide us, maybe we should try to find the absolutes that tie us.As a more hardcore Star Wars fan, those asshole fanatics just ruin it for everybody.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Maybe it helps that alot of his facial expressions look like ones you'd expect to see on a cat.
Jim Sterling is the videogame’s Garfield.
Instead of focusing on relatives that divide us, maybe we should try to find the absolutes that tie us.Great, it's not enough that films are getting re-released with minor updates to extend their life in theaters, now films are getting "patched" post-release in a desperate attempt to salvage them from bombing. Gotta herd those sheep into the seats.
This is... a bit unfair to Cats—The patch is a minor update to the vfx. I doubt anyone expected that this'd be enough to turn it's fortunes around
Considering how badly the movie bombed I don't see this becoming a trend.
Then again you should never underestimate how greedy these companies can get.
If a tree falls in the forest and nobody remembers it, who else will you have ice cream with?Hollywood loves it some trends. Remember when Harry Potter 7 had to split itself into two movies? After that, for a while suddenly every film had to split itself in bits for whatever reason.
I'm quite confident in my shitposting you know"This is... a bit unfair to Cats"
Is that even possible, though?
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"The thing is, things only become trends if they actually make a lot of money. Cats may not even make its budget back. So far it's only made about $60 million worldwide with a budget of $95 million. This after being out for nearly a month.

Disgusted, but not surprisedI have heard the movie was released early and unfinished to make award season. Lol...
Well, it's bound to get a raspberry, so I'd say they managed to pull it off.
Considering how badly the movie bombed I don't see this becoming a trend.
The fact that it was already in the process of bombing, and continued to bomb afterward, means that this didn't matter. The next time someone considers the idea they're not going to look at Cats as a cautionary tale
Is that even possible, though?
It's really not that bad if you're coming into it expecting camp. Much of what you've heard is exaggerated
And thank god that seems to have died with the fantasy YA adaptation trend. I don't even think Divergent did it actually.
Flippé de participer à ce grand souper, je veux juste m'occuper de taper mon propre tempo.Cough cough cough The Hobbit had like three parts
New theme music also a boxOnly reason it didn't happen for Divergent is coz the series flopped so hard they never finished it... They basically did the first half of the finale and just gave up.

Oh… so the trend literally died with YA adaptations, huh.
Yeah that sure was… a thing that happened.
Flippé de participer à ce grand souper, je veux juste m'occuper de taper mon propre tempo.VFX aside, most of the reaction to Cats is down to people never having seen Cats before. The source material is comically unsuited to being a film, and Tom Hooper decided to deal with that by not dealing with it.
Jim talking about people complaining that Pokemon's DLC as being a terrible thing by pointing out that Pokemon's business model has always been garbage.
Edited by Ghilz on Jan 14th 2020 at 11:18:17 AM
that's the thing. I've seen a lot of people complaining about the dlc and it's valid in a vacuum, but the thing is that they act as if Pokemons business model hasn't always been like this when it clearly has. In fact I'd say that paying 30 bucks for dlc is preferable compared to buying a 3rd version, if still shitty.
Even without the Third version, Jim points out Pokemon's "One Game for the Price of Two" model is shitty and people just accept it coz it's been around so long. There's no real reason to have two versions other than to make people double dip.
damn cats
