You know what I hate? Writer's block.

I'm gonna see if I can get a post done by tonight.

There we go. Once again, sorry about the wait.... Stupid headache migrane thing.

As a contingency measure, I'm hand waving the sorta plot-hint-containing camera Dean found out of his inventory, just in case DAcriz isn't coming back. This is just to give anyone else a fair chance at it; it is not me kicking DAcriz out. (In fact Dean could just snatch it again if he comes back.)

And now I'm gonna head out for tonight. Ciao people.

Alright, two weeks is enough to call it I think. This RP's done for. Seems that I should probably work on getting back in the groove of things before trying again.

Thanks to those who stayed for as long as they did, and no hard feelings; I wouldn't expect people to play in an RP they don't want to.

I'll be seeing you guys around in other RPs and such.

Bummer to see this die, but oh well. I suppose it needed more shooting, sooner. That's who the dieselpunk mech RPG died too, I think.

This was fun while it lasted. I'm slightly annoyed that I had no chance to shoot something though.

I think there's no point in signatures.

It may be incredibly late to post this but anyone up for a reboot?

@Kino I was thinking of what would happen next in the RP and realized that the main reason for it's downfall was the time between posts. This led me to think that this RP could have become one of those legendary ones with it's own wiki page quite easily. Plus Kintra seems quite at home in her new 'verse and her old one never made much sense.

I think there's no point in signatures.

Well it all depends on what the GM wants

[up] Oddly I kinda think the opposite way. After all, without players a GM might as well just be writing a novel.

Anyway, if one of you wants to host a reboot that would be fine; heck, I might even join it.

If you want me to reboot it, I will, but I'd like to ask for some time to prepare first. (Like, a week or two at least.) Mainly because I kinda feel like this RP's downfall might've had to do with me being less prepared than I thought I was.

In the meantime, feel free to keep using this discussion thread until a reboot begins for bouncing ideas and such.

[up]Ok I was thinking that you would GM again with a co GM helping out, I was also thinking that in the case that you didn't want to GM again I would end up doing it. After all half my demons ended up living here with adaptions of the others sure to follow.

Having a co-GM isn't such a bad idea. I'd have to think about it though; maybe see if one of my real life friends would be interested in helping.

Here's a question for you guys though: Do you think it would be better to keep the combat free form like before, or implement a (preferably simple) combat rule system of some sort?

Call be biased, but I'm a fan of free-form.

I'll probably keep it free-form then.

I've been having some inspirations for having the RP start in a less urban area this time. Something like out in the great plains/tornado alley area, with lots of wide open spaces with smaller dottings of civilization here and there. What do you guys think?

Sounds like an easier idea. Urban areas are tricky to micromanage.

Alright, progress has been a bit slow, mainly due to plenty of other things wanting my attention and time, but I have a status update again.

I've just about got the new signups and opening thought out. (I still need to write them, but that should only take an hour or two at most for each.) I want to make a couple simple maps of the starting area, as I think that just trying to rip off a real location wholesale this time would not be a good idea.

I might get the new signups up within a few days, but the RP itself is definitely still delayed until I've gotten some more of the actual, you know, things for your characters to do and fight figured out.

As for rule changes, I've decided that this time around expecting people to keep track of their character's exact cash is out. Currently I'm deciding whether purchasing things should just work on suspension of disbelief, I.E. "that's clearly more things than your character could reasonably buy at once, cut it back a little", or just a simple numerical system, I.E. "your character can buy up to X things before they run out of cash". (Some things would definitely take more than one. I'm not gonna let you guys use two simple purchases to get two cars, for instance. tongue)

It's also occurred to me that ammo could go the same way. Either suspension of disbelief or just an allowed number of reloads per gun before you're out. (It could even be a different number for different guns.) Oh, and in whatever combination we go with, I don't think I'll have refilling ammo count towards purchases.

Aaand finally finished the signups.

Okay, so out of the previous seven days, I worked six. There was also temporary changes at home during a good portion of that time as well that further killed my productivity. I had wanted to get this done a lot sooner, but then that happened.

Sorry 'bout that.
