@Firoc Her back story is different for this RP but I'm still trying to keep her personality. In her original story her squad's teacher tries to teach in an against regulation way. meaning the warrant goes out for his and his squad's execution. most of the squad escapes and live as pirate fugitives. At this point this world's Kintra becomes the leader of the small group as the teacher ditches them with a stereotypical "Save yourselves". 2 years on and Kintra is the youngest recorded leader of a successful pirate empire but still is a bit childish.

I see. Anyway, @the OOC portion of your last post: Actually, I kind of had an idea for those two vampire hunters later on if you don't mind.

Also, here's a list of the areas still unsearched:

  • Outdoors, front yard: gate, flower garden, main battlefield. (Pockets picked but otherwise still unsearched.)
  • Outdoors, back yard: pool, hot tub, storage shed.
  • First floor, North: living room, kitchen, dining room, wash room. (Where Ross is heading next.)
  • First floor, South: master bedroom area.
  • Garage: A large garage.

Double post, but figured I should mention: I've got work tomorrow, so there's the usual warning of me being around even less than usual then. It's the only day I've got work this week though.

Currently I'm waiting to give others a chance to post and continue their own searches, though I may post later tonight regardless.

@Falkon: You can go ahead and assume (or edit in) that Blight has a chance to get to the foyer and drop things off so his hands are free again. Which area downstairs was he going to next, by the way?

@Firoc ok I'll leave them alive. For now (Insert evil laugh here)

I can PM you with a heads up on their personality if you want.

Ok treat my hunters nicely. well, at least until you kill them off. Oh and I've searched through my old demon description file and it reminded me of all my faves. (Hehe limbspiders.) I've now taken the time to list the mentioned one. (No it's still not a muffin-bat.)

Limbspiders

"Some demons are made to kill, others are made to frighten."

Appearance: A hunk of flesh with assorted arms and legs jutting out at random angles. Most do not have eyes.

Abilities: Despite most being blind their large mass of limbs allow them to grasp and climb virtually anything. They are able to sense the presence of living things and seem to have a telepathic connection with each other. Contrary to what their name might suggest they cannot spin webs.

Variants: There are smaller versions made of fingers, thumbs and toes. Some creators prefer to make them with either arms or legs but not both.

Possible adaption: Limbspiders are the last attempt of a lich to make a monster. They are usually made from bodies who's brain/skull has been damaged to the point that they cannot be turned into a zombie/skeleton. As soon as one senses a living creature they will charge in a very straight line. they can sense energy through walls/doors but they mistake it for demon energy. Being blind they often get stuck in rooms when the door closes behind them. Hunters have developed a simple tactic to cause heavy damage to them: Step one; open door with limbspider(s) in the next room. Step two; close door and run. The limbspider(s) will charge without pause, crashing through doors and parts of walls until they reach the hunter. By which time their bones will be too broken to do any damage.

Double post to let people know about the suggested monster. I'd post about more demons but I'm having difficulty singling out the ones that can be harmed by human weaponry. Some are just too powerful for their own good.

Limbspiders sound interesting, but if I use them they'd definitely be a classification of undead in this setting, not a demon.

Also:

I'd post about more demons but I'm having difficulty singling out the ones that can be harmed by human weaponry.

Keep in mind that the first adaptation I did with most classical monsters for this RP was getting rid of the "invulnerable to Human weapons" shtick. A good deal of them are certainly a lot tougher than humans, which for this setting's history is a big part of the whole misconception that they were invincible against normal methods. (Imagine trying to kill something that would take a whole MP5 magazine to kill, but with a musket.)

So if you think anything would be pretty interesting to use, go ahead and suggest it. Just remember that I'll be reserving the right to change them from your version. In fact I've been thinking of getting another bestiary list up for a while now, I've just been drawing a blank every time I try to think about it.

By the way, I realize I should've mentioned this earlier: I've been back from work for a while now, I've just been giving everyone else a chance to post if they want before I do so again. I will either post later tonight or tomorrow if nobody else has posted.

Yeah I was expecting you to make them undead and that was my crossover idea anyway. Oh and I think you misinterpreted me a little. About 70% of the demons I've made solid descriptions for can't be harmed by most demon weapons, let alone human stuff.

Anyway, now that that post is done, here's what's still unsearched:

  • Outdoors, front yard: gate, flower garden, main battlefield. (Pockets picked but otherwise still unsearched.)
  • Outdoors, back yard: pool, hot tub, storage shed.
  • First floor, South: master bedroom area.

Ross is busy gathering up what he found in the Northern part of the first floor.

Wow I've really been neglecting this for too long have I? I'm srry if it seem like I wasn't following this any more, just been busy with registering for the next semester and other work stuff.

Is there a lock on the storage shed behind the manor? Just wanted to know in case he has to find something to pry open the door.

Sorry, I got caught up in a gaming session on a really hard game.*

@Da Criz: It's okay, real life happens. The shed in the backyard would have a simple pad lock on it, but breaking it wouldn't be hard. (A padlock is also the kind I meant to have on the front gate, but I forgot what it was called at the time. Edited that, if anyone else cares.)

Also, before I head out for the night: I've got work tomorrow, but it's the only day this week on account of my parents going out of town and me needing to watch the house. Which means for the rest of the week I'll be pretty freed up but I'll have extra chores to take care of and such. Not sure how all that will affect posting yet.

If you mean a spot open as in whether or not you're allowed to join at all, then you don't need to worry. I already accepted your character.

If you mean a spot open as in a good chance for your guy to jump in, well... Did you have anything in mind?

Okay, I'm terribly sorry. That post of mine should've been up a day or two ago.

At first I'd just been waiting to let other people a chance to post, but then between real life distractions and getting caught up in other RPs it just ended up dragging out.

Although the pictures were about happy memories and cheerful faces, Dean couldn't help but feel depressed about the images. Just a few days ago these people were safe and calm, but now they were either dead or running for their life and it was all because of these monsters.

Alright! Emotional impact get.

-ahem- Sorry, that just makes me a little proud of myself. Heheh...

@Gbrn: DAcriz already had Dean go to the other part of the house, but if it's okay with him you guys could do a brief flashback of while Dean's still in the shed.

Anyway, I'm now on here later than I would normally be, so this is pretty much officially my last posting for tonight. I'll be back on tomorrow; for now, ciao.
