Because if you think about it, mixing and matching two space based settings which had a lot of world-building behind them might just be the next best brilliant thing to do

Before this becomes a full-blown crossover fic of sorts, I'm putting down memos here, since I'm a good but lazy person who can't write until nearly the end unless the thing is a one-shot. English is merely my second language but apparently it's the best I can have on the Internet, so I might as well give it a try in expressing what I have in my head

But anyway, hear me out and give me some pointers here and there. Try to refrain from directly naysaying this to my face if possible, and treat this as a creative setting.

Long time ago, in a galaxy far far away, civilizations were sporadic in the universe. Some close to each other, some very far apart. What's tying them together at first is a vague phenomenon though ever present, the Force. Those with the Force led species and civilizations forward, into strife, prosperity, wonder and ruin

In time, it was deemed that like the people themselves, Force Sensitives and Users were able to become disgusted by governments and interplanetary wars, and in time they influenced various species to bind together in both helping and corruptive ways. It came to be that those with the Force have two opposing powers within them, one Jedi, one Sith. One representing Light, one representing Dark. Two must not coexist, and both sways changed the face of Galactic Order, as well as the fate of billions in the ocean of star systems

It went without saying that a galactic society wasn't easy in both forming and ongoing. In order to create bonds between inhabited planets, machines were built to greatly improve work efficiency in freighting and transportation logistics to compete with those who can use Force to lift things. The machines would be called Mobile Suits, a precursor to military expansion and tense deterrent diplomatics as individually, masses would lose against a Force user with a lightsaber, but gigantic mobile weapons could, with some amount of piloting skill, best a being bound by flesh and blood such as them from a distance.

By the time Corruscant was capitulated as Galactic Republic's capital, Mobile Suits became commonplace among the workforces of trades, logistics, military and peacekeeping (law enforcers). From basic models to gradually taller and taller prototypes that lead to more intimidating designs. It was year 25053 Before Battle of Yavin (BBY), and the first of the most brutal of Mobile Suit combats were fought in the form of Unification Wars

The resulting fights were both eye-opening and terrifying for either the Mobile Suit manufacturing industries or the militaries across the galaxy. Some Jedi and Sith had been learning how to create their own Mobile Suits and learned how to pilot them beforehand, allowing them to have the upper hand above the normal military. Even so, without superior skill, pilots with or without Force could perish and become space debris and crystalized blood cells. Among all the Mobile Suits that fought in thousands of such years, it was observed that Force pilots had the ability to augment the performance of their machines, therefore increasing their combat efficiencies.

The shifting of balance was so great that later militaries would create more carriers to fight on equal footing with would-be pilots of such calibre, leading to the creation of more fearsomely equipped destroyers. But even this paled in comparison when wars themselves gave birth to widespread hatred and despair, both are fed upon by the Dark Side of the Force, which in turn, led many a Force Sensitive into becoming Sith. Numbers of Sith greatly appeared and favored by the military compared to the pacifistic and regularly unobedient Jedi. When the time came that the Jedi Order were virtually wiped out, a leading creation of the remnant Jedi would put the balance back in place, later to be known as RX-78 "Gundam"

At first the then-unheard-of V-shaped antennae design bearing Mobile Suit with the blatant color scheme of white, blue and red was only treated like one of the common, but soon it became clear to the Sith that it was a Jedi menace that would threaten the foundation of the then-indisputable Sith Empire. In effort to resuscitate the Jedi Order, this one machine wasn't mass-produced like many other models before it, but instead repeatedly reinforced, maintained and combat tested. Its weapon components would be strengthened by Force Crystals harvested from better and rarer sources

Eventually its greatest rival came to life, known as the "Red Comet of Sith", and continuously appeared to defeat the Gundam, to no avail. After Gundam brought victory and balance despite being 'removed' of its head part and entire right hand, it became a tool to be used by Jedi Aces as an icon of succession of the reborn Jedi Order.

Basically, this is a setting that lives on a What If?? situation : if Force Users aren't as powerful as they originally are on the source material when Mobile Suits became commonplace. But I've thought about this for some time now, despite never been a fierce Star Wars fan myself. I gave some thoughts on who pilots what starting from Episode 1, and how plot goes

Episode 1

Obi-Wan Kenobi - RX-78 GP-01 Fb "Zephyranthes"

Qui-Gon Jinn - RX-78 GP-02 A "Physalis"

Darth Maul - MS-14 M "Gelgoog Maul Custom"

Episode 2

Anakin Skywalker - MSZ-006 "Zeta Gundam"

Obi-Wan Kenobi - RX-78 GP-03 D "Dendrobium Orchis" and GP-03 S "Dendrobium Stamen" . Obi-Wan would be the only Jedi Master and pilot to own and use the strictly licensed hyperdrive-bearing Orchis, allowing him to operate and self-maintain in long distances on his own, with Stamen being the mobile suit of proficiency when detached from Orchis

Mace Windu - MSN-00100 "Centutype" / "Hyaku Shiki"

Count Dooku - MS-06 S "Zaku II Sith Command" later causing Anakin's cockpit to rupture and removing him of his right hand

Yoda - Ball - Magnetic Coating Type (with specially outfitted weapons)

Episode 3

General Grievous - PMX-003 "The O"

Plo Koon - Musha Gundam (later killed by Order 66 executed by clone pilots in Jegans)

Palpatine / Darth Sidious - PMX-003-2 "The O 2"

Darth Vader receives his new mobile suit after his former self Anakin was defeated in Mustapha, after gaining a Sith Lord title. MSN-04 "Sazabi"

Episode 4

Luke Skywalker - RX-79 G "Gundam Ground Type"

Episode 5

Han Solo hijacks and commandeers his later lifelong partner, RX-78 GP-04 G "Gerbera"

Episode 6

Attaining a higher level of power and skill, Luke Skywalker pilots the only means of defeating Vader's Sazabi, RX-93 Nu Gundam

Unlike the original sources, the Mobile Suits mentioned here will not be colored as they were. Jedi suits will be white, brown or in various minor colors, while Sith suits will be black most of the time unless on a disguise. Post-Episode-6 era will feature suits in stock colors
