Another misconception the owner of the Gear Project Tumblr blog was infamous for spreading was Slayer owning an Outrage and said Outrage being a dagger. Like Sfondi that one got so bad, and was held onto Blade for so long, that it even got into Woolie's lore video before being corrected in the next one.
FTR, even the guy originally responsible for the Sfondi mistranslation, Ed Chang, eventually walked back on it.
On Johnny having a surname, I always doubted that. I never recalled finding it when I first ventured into the Guilty Gear wiki nor in here until half a decade ago.
I totally remember that one! It's not true either?
Nope. The actual line was that his dagger was "not an Outrage, but with the right art it can still kill Forbidden Beasts". It was mistranslated as actually being an Outrage for years, not sure if the mistranslation was by Ed Chang or Blade himself, but either way he stuck with it.
Also our recap page still says Kliff died during the Crusades/fight where Justice was first sealed away. Yanno unlike Justice's ACP story, the Xrd library or the Strive recap where he died during the tourney in GG 1
Also, love ASW stating that Nagoriyuki is from Nigeria like they were pre-empting Blade or daring him to claim some stupid racist shit. Sadly it didn't stop him from showing his whole ass anyway.
If Strive is the big finale I could see them pushing themselves to try and make it have the largest roster of any of the games before it.
I think the official highest roster was ever 25
Accent Core Plus, right? Yeah I kinda wish Strive had a bigger roster but sadly that's what happens when you change graphics engines. I mean look at KOF.
its either Accent Plus or Rev 2 for biggest roster
How big was GGX's roster? I feel like since X2 onwards reused assets they were able to squeeze out bigger rosters.

GG X had sixteen. GG X+ had nineteen.
Character victory poses with Faust's Afro.
I was about to ask "Nineteen" but then I remembered that technically Robo-Ky was in GGX+ too.
During the beta I won a match against a Faust who afro'd me just beforehand, and I was so happy when I realized it carried over to the victory screen.
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.AC+R on Steam has received a public beta update with improvements to training mode, replays, bugfixes and more lenient inputs, closer to arcade version.
Good.
I know some people like the Chibi Model lobbys, but they don't need to reinvent the wheel with every lobby system for each game they make.
Watch SymphogearThey defenitely wont get rid of that lobby system and make a new one in 2 months. they just need to make sure it actually functions. I remember meeting up with a friend to duel and picked a nice spot to fight, but then i ended up warping to the other side of the lobby. pretty sure that is gonna need adjustments.
Plus a rematch button. The ability to pick best of five. Stuff like that.
And a queue option. Lord knows it needs it with how many times people were all trying at once to match up with one person.
I wouldn't mind the lobby just being a basic one. Seems like the chili one leads to complications.
Mileena MadnessMeant to say this for a while now, but I held it off because I wanted to see more high-level gameplay from professional.
So I don't regularly play GG to know how to RC properly & do any Dustloops but I did play enough AC+ & I've got to say I really, really hate this direction Strive is taking. I thought it only looked slow, but nope, it plays it just as slow it looks. I only play Sol but I don't appreciate how some of his moves got changed. Sol better have his Dragon Install when the game launches. I don't care how impractical it was, I need more than just Tyrant Rave for his Supers. I swear this direction better not be because Arc decided that Fighterz is gonna be their only fast-paced fighting game. Right now the game feels like a faster Samsho.
That being said, the change isn't actually a bad thing. It's not fast as it was but you can at least digest what's happening a lot easier now and the game genuinely is pretty fast in its own right during the 5 hours I got to play before the beta shut down. It's just too bad they're willing to experiment on a game that already an established theme by now instead of a new IP. And once again Arc drop-dead gorgeous visuals are more pronounced than ever. I absolutely love how impactful Sol's attack sounds this time around. It just too bad that Strive looks like it rather prioritizes than speed.
It's unfortunate especially since I skipped out on Revelator but I was kinda hoping to buy Strive on launch but these changes are too much for me personally. I'm just gonna have to wait for the roster to feel more complete.
Guess who's back with the Lore up and running?
Guilty Gear 2 makes me wonder if Testament was pulled into the Backyard.
I still can't believe Testament missed out on Revelator. I still want to know his reaction to Dizzy being married, unless they already revealed in some sort of Drama CD?
The irony lol.
For a while at least to us Westerners Blade seemed to be a good source for GG lore especially regarding the stuff we don't get in the West like audio cds and such. He pieced things together in an interesting way and had some convincing theories. EXCEPT it turns out as GG's lore became less obscured to the West over time he wasn't quite as credible as initially believed as he would mix his theories with factual canon, not to mention being straight up wrong in some cases. At Dustloop he kind of didn't get along with some of the other members and part of it was due to his stubbornness and reputation for spreading misinformation. Well also some of them just flat out didn't like him lol.
