Seyda Neen (Aichi)
-Aichi stares at the car in amazement.-
-So... This will be their car for the race...!-
"Thank you, Sonic! And um... and your friend!"
"Hey, don't mention it. Not gonna expect you two to run, after all!"
"Yes, an airship, that is an accurate descriptor as well."
The deck looks a bit........cramped.
"Well yes, but it should seat at least three. At least, that is the concept."
-there is no way he's cramming himself into that tiny-ass metal flying coffin for more than five minutes-
-Steps have to be Taken-
...Can I propose an alternative? I have this flying whale friend....
"...What, with you?"
Edited by Boxen on Oct 24th 2019 at 10:28:52 AM
.....Well-...no, but I've got this flute...
"And this flute, when played, would summon the whale?"
It should! Let me just-...
-He roots through his purple garb-
-....and roots. and roots and roots.-
-He looks back at Kurt-
....I don't think I have it anymore.
Kurt's posture slumps. "So then we are at an impasse."
....Do we have to make the vehicle ourselves?
"I am unsure."

METAPLOT 1: LIVE TRANSMISSION
“Alright everyone!” Sita flitted around to and fro excitedly, holding a megaphone up, starting to push teams together to make an announcement. Finally, when the contestants were gathered, she raised her megaphone to her mouth…
A rumbling shook the earth. Like, a rumbling rumbling. It was big. Fargoth fell off his feet to the ground. The silt strider at Seyda Neen’s port keened low, swaying ponderously as it struggled to balance its narrow stilts. Sita adjusted her hat nervously. “Uhh, never mind the earthquake,” she said into the megaphone. “That’s all perfectly natural, ok—?”
“Hey, that mountain,” blurted out Okita, pointing at Red Mountain off into the distance. “It’s smoking and sputtering! I think it’s erupting!” Indeed, it was plain to see that a thick, black plume of smoke was rising from it. With it came a low, unsettling rumbling of the earth, almost unnoticeable, and all the more insidious for it. A soft, but constant vibration, through the ground, through bone, into the teeth and skull.
“By the Three,” murmured Jiub. “This has not happened in… in…” Try as he might, the dark elf could only recall one time that Red Mountain had erupted in full. Yes, Vvardenfell’s ashlands were due to the constant ash spewing from Red Mountain, that was true. But the last time the mountain erupted was in the First Era. To the Nords, it was known as ‘The Year of Winter in Summer.’ To the Khajiit, it was simply ‘Sun’s Death.’ Such an eruption of the largest volcano in Tamriel had portentous implications for Vvardenfell, Morrowind, and all the Septim Empire itself, to say nothing of this relatively insignificant little race.
He had no way of knowing that this eruption would be the last, and final time that Red Mountain spewed its blight unto the world: it would be the end of all life in Tamriel, or at least the end of life as they all understood it.
Sita was trying to regain control of the situation, which was a little like trying to grab the reins of the horse after it sprinted out of the unsecured barn. Like buddy that pony is cantering on out of there, it has left the station entirely. The Tamrielic natives were taking this the worst, screaming and trying to take shelter in buildings, caves, and the like while the Imperial guards tried vainly to keep order. This was another type of horseherding. Savannah and Takeo did the smart thing and bugged out around this time. You’re not sure where Okita and Nobunaga went, and thinking about it you still don’t know what happened to them.
The vibrating ‘’hum’’ of the earth grew more insistent. You felt like something had changed, even if you couldn’t place your finger on it. Like the drumbeat of reality, the thum-thum at the heart of the world, had been inverted. Something about reality was an octave away from normal. No, not even an octave: it was a microtone. Little changes build and compound on themselves and breed bigger and bigger consequences.
Building with the hum came a gleam from the tip of the mountain, as a rolling mass of glistening red began to spill down its sides, gradually becoming more viscous as it thickened and hardened into a glossy white. As much as it glittered, it gave the mountain the sickly impression of a pus-filled wound, bleeding all the more. It wasn’t lava, or ash, but it was rushing towards the base of the mountain, quicker by the second. It moved unnaturally, pooling down faster than it could have through gravity. The sickness grew with malice, quick and sharp and intentioned. This really freaked everyone out. You saw the guards draw sword and spell, quickly putting up a wall of shields and magical wards around the village. It was so plainly futile even then. The townspeople were weeping, screaming, gnashing their teeth and the whole bit. More devout townspeople were praying - to the Nine, for outlander settlers, and to the Tribunal for dark elves, all of the dunmer praying bowed towards the great city of Vivec, that you could faintly see in the distance, across the waters of the Ascadian Isles.
The sickness rolled towards you all. It was mere meters away from the edge of the village when a high noise filled the air. You could see a mote of light shining brilliantly from Vivec city - and launching itself rapidly, slamming itself into the ground just in front of Seyda Neen. It was a peculiar-looking elf, half-naked and half-dunmer. They were bifurcated entirely from head to toe, one half of them was ashen-skinned like the dunmer and one half was golden-skinned like the altmer. This was all in all an odd sight. The figure shimmered with power, their every movement carrying the regal bearing of some divine purpose.
"Lord Vivec in the flesh!" gasped a dunmer near you. "Almsivi preserve us!"
Vivec smiled warmly over his shoulder, his eyes scanning the crowd - and fixing on you a moment. He must have seen something in your expression, because what he said seemed almost directed at you. "Don't fuss and cry, now. No tears. I shall not let the adversary destroy everything we've worked so hard to build! AE GHARTOK DUNMERI. In brighter times we can have this game anew." He widened his stance, a spear materializing in his hands, and jabbed it down to pierce into the earth. A shimmering golden wall rose up around Seyda Neen. You noticed immediately with some dismay that the Roomship was just outside the wall.
The wave of red and white crashed against the barrier seconds after Vivec deployed it. The golden shieldwall flexed but held. Sita flitted back and forth before turning to you. "W-well, it's time for you to go if you can! Be seeing you!" She very quickly Dimensional Scrammed out of the universe. You watched with dismay as the wave rolled around the barrier entirely as it continued on, its edges lapping at the Roomship. But for a few scant moments, it seemed like everything would be alright, even as the waves pounded and pounded and the strange Cadence echoing from Red Mountain buzzed and thrummed. It was in your head, pounding, pounding, pounding… You fell to your knees, hands clutching at your skull. The elf next to you - Fargoth? You couldn't tell - was spasming and shuddering standing straight up, like he was electrocuted. His skin was… ossifying. The Cadence was stopped physically, but that sound… that sound!
As you collapsed into unconsciousness, the last thing you saw was Vivec, struggling in vain to keep the flickering shield standing… but the wave crashed over him and surged towards you.
-The Room Group begins to wake up, in scattered bunches, feeling like they've had the worst migraine in a century. Scanning their surroundings, they would notice that… they seem to be on the roomship? It's a lot cleaner than it was before. They can hear a low, moderate hum - not that frightening one from before, but the sound of the ship flying through space. It's almost comforting, to realize you escaped from whatever THAT was.-
-Jiub is standing in the corner, mute concern evident on his grave features-
You're finally waking up. That's good. I thought we'd never get out of that mess.
-there are familiar and unfamiliar faces alike aboard the roomship. Some you've seen before, some you've never met in your life-

-Luffy pokes his head out of the kitchen, grinning-
Hey, Jub! I think I figured out how to make ramen noodles!
-an explosion is heard in the kitchen-
(Kinnikuman wakes up on the ship. He spots Luffy. Where on Earth is he?!)
Oi, kid! Can ya tell me where I am?
Roomship? (Leon), (Nemo), (Caster), (???), and (???)
-Leon's eyes creak open, a dull and yet very heavy pain throbbing in his head.-
-What just happened...? He had been in the Roomship, but suddenly he sensed something dark and horrible...-
"Is everyone all right?"
-He sits up, looking around.-
-Caster regains her senses, and raises daintily.-
"Wendy...? Wendy, are you here...?"
-She's truly concerned. Even she hadn't sensed that darkness approaching...-
-It's... what's happening...? Where are they...?-
"This place... It's as though it's the traveler of the stars, and yet, from another time..."
-Nemo springs up, quickly looking over their surroundings.-
"Where is this...?"
-Towards the corner of the room, there is a quiet and◊ nervous-looking girl with blonde hair and a black beret.-◊
-And not far from her is a girl with pink hair and red eyes that has much more energy, sighing. It seems like she's rather pleased, despite that, though.-◊
"You guys are finally awake! Man, we were really worried about you!"
"...U-Um... It was really scary..."
-The blonde girl fiddles her fingers a little, and the pink-haired one puts a hand on her shoulder.-
"Hehehehe, I didn't expect to see them here, either!"
-Leon looks over at Jiub, not having met him.-
"Could you explain what's going on?"

-He looks over at Kinniku-
You're in a house, duh!
Are you sure? This ain't my house. Anyways, you can call me Kinnikuman, the hero of many and badass wrestle man!
(Kinnikuman flexes, but his muscles comically turn into flab.)
Pretend you didn't see that.
(Kinnikuman observes the others for now.)

-He wipes an eye, smiling-
You're pretty funny! You said you were a wrestler? That's cool!

Roomship (Alice) and (Yuri)
-The girl with the beret looks towards Kinnikuman and Luffy nervously, hands close to her chest with her head lowered.-
"...A-Alice... I'm... Alice..."
"And I'm Yuri! We only got here a little while ago, so we can't tell you much."
-Yuri steps a little closer to the two, and Alice follows closely behind her.-
-With a smile, Yuri holds out her hand to the two.-
"Nice to meet the two of ya!"
-Alice slightly nods in response to that.-
-Poor girl's scared to death about interacting with people...-
(grins) Yes. I'm the leader of a group in the Justice Chojin known as the Thug Busters. It's a pleasure to meet you all.

-He looks over, noticing the two Girls Who Were Also Awake When Jub Showed Up, and gives them both a friendly grin-
Pleased to meet ya, too!
-He GOMU GOMU NO STREEEETCHES his arm out to shake Yuri's hand-
Edited by MacDuffy on Nov 8th 2019 at 1:48:46 AM
-Alice jumps a little with wide eyes when Luffy stretches out his hand, and Yuri's eyes widen as well...-
"Whoa! That's so AWESOME!"
-She wastes absolutely no time shaking Luffy's hand, and looks back towards Alice with a smile.-
"Hey, don't you think that's really cool? We're gonna see a lot of neat stuff during our time here!"
-Alice honestly does find it really neat, but she's just... kind of petrified.-
-It's frankly a miracle she ever gets anything done...-
"...Y-Yeah... I've never met someone that can... t-that can do something like that..."
-Yuri nods with energy.-
"Yeah! We've seen people that can do a lot of things, but nothing like stretching your arms out!"
-Yuri then looks over at Kinnikuman.-
"And you! You look really strong! That's so awesome!"
