-Those are... beings from beyond the planet, right...? He assumes...? Or perhaps from another plane...-

"Do they not exist...?"

-And ah, he supposes it would make sense for someone to develop a way to find missing children easier...-

-But, wait...-

-If he were to send an Amber Alert out, then Nemo might be found by the men chasing after him! That can't happen!-

"Don't send an Amber Alert... They might find me..."

Ohohoho~, of course they don't! Why, it's just not scientifically possible, although my poor conspiracy-addled son would likely tell you otherwise. Why, he's even convinced our next-door neighbor is some sort of extraterrestrial creature instead of a normal little green boy! It would be almost charming if it wasn't so unscientific, but that's my little Dib for you.

(Begins using equipment perhaps more fit for soldering than food preparation to make yet another slice of toast, nonchalant as the blue glow of science energy bathes him.)

But yes, no thanks needed, it's simply a father's duty to—... Hold on, are you saying you don't want to be found...? Whyever not?

Ahhhh, you poor traumatized little boy, we'll have to get you some proper psychotherapy to ensure the maladjusted and antisocial behaviors you were taught for this dark profession are unlearned for a successful integration into society. Perhaps that child psychologist that couldn't cure my son's delusions will have better luck with you...

(Rests his hand on Nemo's shoulder, gesticulating with the other.)

(Firm, yet fatherly pat of Nemo's head with that gloved hand.)

Just keep an eye out for them, and if we should see them, well...

(Tosses a piece of bread into the air, quickly removing his glove to reveal A FUCCEN WHOLE-ASS ROBOT HAND, with which he LASER-BLASTS the bread into ashy oblivion.)

Oh I'm positive. Children these days seem to think anything is magical in nature, but so many of these so-called "magical" or "paranormal" phenomena have a perfectly scientific explanation behind them!

(Dusts the bread soot off the countertop.)

I'm sure these "Isles" of yours must be a very rustic and old-fashioned place, perhaps untouched by the miracles of modern technology! Ohoho~, how unfortunately fascinating!
