The name should indeed be changed. I suppose it's better to send the trope back to ykttw to so that trope isn't used too much before the name change.
Subtle Reason To Panic could be the new name.

It's very much a trope and deserves better treatment than this. Bounce it back to YKTTW so it has a chance.
...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it.Bounced. It's like a Chekhov's Gun but without the delay.
I found the quotation I was looking for, but it's been a long time since I've seen the ep so I don't know if I cited it correctly.
I'm also note sure if the stated Inception scene is evn an example, mainly because I haven't seen the film and the description doesn't explain how it is imminent danger.
There is a difference between an out-of-place detail (which may or may not be immediately noticed) that implies some kind danger is technically present, and an out-of-place detail that implies some kind of danger is immediately (as in "five seconds from now") present.

An Ear Worm is like a Rickroll: It is never going to give you up.I agree with Madrugada - it is a trope, but it certainly isn't a workable page yet. Back to YKTTW with it.
It's been bounced back. Locking the thread.
...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it.
Trope spent no more than the minimum 72 hours before getting booted out the door by the OP.
Problems:
One user tagged it as Needs A Better Title during the YKTTW but this was never acted on; OP was in a hurry to launch.
Anyone up for a "cut and send back" (preferably by someone other than its OP) ?
While we're at it, a better page quote would be from one early episode in Babylon Five where a character smells ozone in the air and immediately realizes it means an alien is about to fire an energy weapon at them.
