Chapter 144 is out Time for seating changes!

Ucchi attempts to make progress, a nice Yuri interaction and a nice call back to the plans of Past Tomoko.

Yoshinori's comment about Tomoko and the kids seated next to her being classmates during their first year of high school made me check early chapters again. In chapter 4, when Tomoko is surprised by a group of her classmates in McDonald's, the group actually includes a guy who reminds me of Wada, though he wasn't wearing a hoodie back then. On the other hand, I didn't notice anyone who looked much like Oka.

Oh yeah, and in my opinion the best facial expression of the chapter is Hina's, after Tomoko mentioned that she hadn't actually played the eroge chosen by Hina, and didn't expect Hina would play it.

I hope Nemo and Yuri can become closer. Really sweet of her to look out for Yuri like that. And maybe this will ease Yuri's problems with jealousy.

I think next chapter is the Nemo-focused chapter she won a popularity poll for.

It's the Hina Day in the Limelight special chapter promised by than online poll! And it's pretty good!

I LOL'd at the panel that showed a brown and long-haired Ucchi, black-haired Yoshida, and brown-haired Miyazaki.

Huh, missed that Ucchi my first read-though.

I forgot how much I do like Nemo.

She did have a focus chapter recently, but I'd still had other characters stay more strongly in my mind.

Another new chapter!

It's more of a collection of vignettes this time. Personal highlight for me is Ucchi and Miyazaki's short bit.

So even Hikari turned out to be an oddball all along. Makes me wonder what sorts of quirks other characters who usually play straight men to their wackier friends might be hiding.

People already noted that Minami's current situation is quite similar to Tomoko's during her first year of high school. Now it looks like Minami is even beginning to experience some Tomoko-esque misadventures of her own, starting with an encounter with the Lethal Chef. Hopefully she won't run into any girls carrying a naginata in a crowded place.

And Sayaka just might be the worst wingman ever.

Sayaka unfortunately doesn't seem to have an active social filter, like at all.

Bold move as usual Asuka. I'm happy with this chapter, because Asuka is certainly one of my favorites. I hope we learn what that look what about while Tomoko was using her lap as a pillow.

The second panel looked tired? Although she was still facing the other two. So that makes it even more puzzling.

The last page, Yuri knows Tomoko too well.

On one hand, Asuka's reasons for doting on Tomoko make's a whole lot of sense. On the other hand, it's all TOO convenient, and it feels like she's become too touchy-feely so quickly compared to Tomoko's other friends. It's been barely a month since the Disneyland trip after all.

But yeah, Asuka's being ridiculously aggressive. It's different compared to all the passive-aggressive stuff we've come to expect from, say, Nemo or Yuri.

I'm just glad with another Asuka chapter it means we'll be getting another round of related fanart.

Also finally in-universe confirmation that Asuka is probably ridiculously pretty, thanks to Tomoki's classmate's quip.

It's another slow chapter, but it's a good one nonetheless.

Spoiler excuses herself from her friends for some alone time, and this time she doesn't stammer or stutter when ordering at Mc Donald's! Development! Also running into Masaki, Reina, and Anna at the arcade... And finally getting to know Emoji Mk.2

New chapter is out. The manga is pretty much officially yuri harem story now, and it looks like our heroine is quickly becoming the kind of person who can give to others, even though she doesn't realize this yet and even though she's also a pervert who's trying to take advantage of a young girl in her moment of weakness.

Oh yeah, and Futaki thoroughly crushing Shizuku during the table tennis match confirms that her failures in luck-based games are the only thing that prevents her from becoming the Ultimate Lifeform and dominating the universe. Hopefully Anna will be able to hold her at bay indefinitely.

By the way, we do get two sweet extras for the release of Volume 14, but people will likely look at the second one (set during Tomoko and Asuka's trip to Aoyama) as more important: since we learn there that Megumi apparently goes to school at Aoyama, and what's more, saw Tomoko there with Asuka.

Chapter 150!

A pretty relaxed chapter overall, but a few things of note. Kotomi is a tryhard. Asuka is unstoppable. Yoshida looks good in a ponytail. Yuri and Hina are becoming friends quicker than EITHER want or expect. Tomoko falls back to old habits.

By the way, what are the local forumites' view on Asuka? 4chan pretty much hates how perfect she is for example (and how this perfection doesn't fit the series dynamic of a bunch of losers together).

I think this is mostly because, well, we haven't been allowed a view into Asuka's head. Some sort of Hidden Depths will go a way to helping this, I feel.

She's my favorite character in Tomoko's ever growing harem. :P

I really like how she just flat out likes Tomoko as a person.

More seriously, I'm looking forward to getting to see what makes her tick.

New chapter is out. Looks like Tomoko is now so far from the point she was at the beginning of the series that even major cringe moments become somewhat heartwarming, because now she gets to share the embarrassment.

And it doesn't look like Yuri needed much persuasion from Tomoko to listen to porn together, does it?

I read it with a pastebin translation, and I'm really excited about this development. Seems like Ucchi might be getting an arc of her own. Her friends also seem super supportive of her and Tomoko. Which is nice.

Chapter is out. Being Emoji is suffering.

Speaking of which, I thought that Ucchi giving Tomoko emoji cookies in chapter 112, and the scene in chapter 122 where Ucchi was pissed off that her fellow emoji Futaki gets to be in the same class as Tomoko, were meant to imply that she is somewhat aware of her own emoji-ness. But it seems her confusion at the end of this chapter disproves this.

My volume 13 arrived in the mail today, covering the theme park arc.

I was a bit annoyed by a couple of the translations.

Emiri > Emily was a bit jarring. Plus Nemo's nickname for Akane going from A-chan > AA-chan.

Was fun reading it again. I forgot this was when Asuka really comes into the story.

Looking for her and Ucchi staring at Tomoko in the background is always fun.

New chapter is out. Either this chapter is Tomoko's dream, or we reached the point where Asuka is pretty much openly hitting on Tomoko.

She's been pretty open about it for a while. Ever since the collage date really.

This is the farthest she's gone though. I really liked the reactions of her friends.

Basically another vignette chapter, with both Miyazaki and now Fuuka staring at the Mohjyo abyss, Minami being an ass, Sayaka showing that's she's still hilarious, and a funny misunderstanding between Asuka and Tomoko.

I wasn't sure if they were going for Asuka having a dirty mind or Tomoko just being more sheltered than she thinks she is, but after this chapter I'm on the side of Asuka having a filthy mind.

Ucchi is back with a second wind after seeing Asuka's terrible makeup skills. But just in time to active the Yandere route by mistake.

Given the recent trends, I'm thinking unless they timeskip, we'll see each friend visit during Tomoko's suspension.
