Well, apart from a jet-pack powered knee to the face, she hasn't done a whole lot. The series might try to squeeze some drama out of the fact that the weight of being an actual hero is too much for Rio.

New chapter is out. Go and get it.

I found it amusing that, to go with her catgirl theme, Rio got... claws as a primary weapon. Claws that, I might add, do NOT come out unless she does a specific pose. Oh Andou.

That is true, but a real hero doesn't worry about that like Shooto.

It looked like he absorbed the energy from it, but wasn't effected due to the S-gene. What really bothers me however is that if what's transforming the Heroes is the same as what transforms Rat Man, than it's likely that this person may be connected to Crea, or she might know him. She did Choose Shooto due to him possessing the S-genes as well didn't she?

Or am I misremembering that?

I don't think it was confirmed, but it was definitely heavily implied. Either way though, she's not the only one who knows about the S-genes.

Heh, the use of the chuuninbyou thing is quite timely too, though I have to wonder if that's REALLY the first reaction people have when someone has a MEDICAL eyepatch these days instead of, you know, concluding that the person has an eye infection.

Remember, these are old chapters. We're on volume 9 when Japan has a 10th volume out.

To be honest, despite her obviously being an actual hero due to the nature of this manga, I think the eyepatch really does make her look like a typical chuunibyou (and I only learned the word recently). I am glad that the manga decided to do Lampshade Hanging on the topic.

Does this manga still exist?

Just because no one is scanning it doesn't mean it's not being released you know.

The one group that was doing it might have had their translator get sick or married or found a full-time job—or in the extreme case got a cease and desist. We won't know unless someone feels like explaining.

Also note that they were translating from the published volumes, so we'd obviously screech to grinding halt if they caught up.

A new scanlator has picked it up, so chapter 47 is now available after a long delay.
