Those are both pretty good, but I lean toward the first...the second one's a little too NSFW for a page pic but it's great Image Links fodder.
first one is good.
If it's too NSFW for the page (in hindsight I feel silly for even suggesting it) then why isn't it too NSFW for the image links section?
"The Daily Show has to be right 100% of the time; FOX News only has to be right once." - Jon StewartThe First one.
Image Links pages are just that — links. The image won't be the first thing someone sees in all it's glory when they open the page. They'll see a link.
...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it.So as long as it's marked NSFW it's okay to link to?

"The Daily Show has to be right 100% of the time; FOX News only has to be right once." - Jon StewartAs long as it's not explicit, yes. In this case, lots of the images that would wind up on the image Links page are going to be NSFW at first glance — that's what the trope is.
...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it.Bingo.

Are the aspect ratios messed up in those Austin Powers pics, or is it just me?
Rhymes with "Protracted."Well, I did link to the videos I used. If you're not sure of the aspect ratio use some other clip of the scene; if you have the DVD perhaps you could take a screenshot of that.
"The Daily Show has to be right 100% of the time; FOX News only has to be right once." - Jon StewartThe ARs look right on the first pic; the second looks a tad squashed horizontally.

Reading the trope, though, the Powers pictures, love them as I do, seem to portray a broader trope than the one described.
Get a slant at this glossary of Pulp Detective terms. It rates. Pipe that? They're both implicitly sexual, at least at first glance. If the trope is more narrow than that, then perhaps it should be expanded.
"The Daily Show has to be right 100% of the time; FOX News only has to be right once." - Jon StewartActually, perhaps official word on what qualifies as the trope and what doesn't as the trope currently is might be helpful...

By the way, is this limited to sexual-looking moments?
"The Daily Show has to be right 100% of the time; FOX News only has to be right once." - Jon StewartNo, not "sexual-looking", necessarily. It's most often either sexual or at least romantic, though.
...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it.Definitely! Supporting the tent picture.
So is it by definition about things that seem sexual and/or romantic, or does it just tend to be that?
"The Daily Show has to be right 100% of the time; FOX News only has to be right once." - Jon StewartIt tends to be that way.
Should the laconic be adjusted to reflect that?
"The Daily Show has to be right 100% of the time; FOX News only has to be right once." - Jon StewartI'd say so, if it needs to be done.
Adjust the laconic and tidy up the main definition.
It's much easier to use sexual situations, but here's an example of a non-sexual Not What It Looks Like:

Not What It Looks Like
... even if it is an example, it only shows the "what it looks like" side, not shows that it isn't. It's okay, but it could be improved upon. I'd suggest something from this Austin Powers scene.
EDIT: Or alternatively, this, though it's a bit on the edgy side.
