Sweet. I'll check it out when I get home, I'm on my iphone now. Since we (you math and I) have pretty much agreed to share continuity, should we have a name for our works as a whole? Like The Magpieverse

What about "Legacy of the Blood Ravens"?

That's fine by me. I'm about to post another chapter. I'll talk about it in the little author's note I usually do so that people can actually find out about it.

I propose a name for the inevitable sequel: "Magpies 2: Electric Boogaloo."

I might have to steal that.

Even the title has been gifted to the chapter.

So, I'm trying to come up with a title for my fan fic now that's in some sort of official continuity or something. What I've come up with so far:

Firestorm over Kronus (beacuse I like the mod)

Legacy of Akileus (after the main character)

Thoughts?

I like Firestorm over Kronus, because people immediately know what you are talking about. Using something with Legacy in the title would clash with the name of our little Verse we are making, assuming we name that "The Legacy of the Blood Ravens" as stated.

I'll go with that, then.

I have a challenge for all you fic writers out there.

Challenge: Write a story about yourself ending up in the grim darkness of the 41st millennium. No one speaks English (we assume Low Gothic is another language)

Hard Mode: Survive longer than five minutes.

Nightmare Mode: Land somewhere not inside the Imperium.

I look forward to seeing results of this challenge...

Speaking of which, it'd be nice if I could see them when attempts are made; fanfiction.net is blocked where I am right now and I sadly haven't been able read much of what's been written in this thread.

EDIT: Dunno why I hadn't really thought of this...do the non-Imperium races also speak Gothic?

I'm not sure ending up in Tau space counts as Nightmare mode.

You can't speak Low Gothic. What do Tau do with people they can't communicate with?

If I act nonthreatening I don't see any reason why they'd shoot me...actually, since we wear rather different styles of clothing than the Imperium, they might consider me an oddity worth investigating, in case I'm from an unknown human colony.

Maybe. It's still sort of hard mode, because unless they either A: Bother to learn you the Tau language or B: Have some sort of universal babelfish that translates languages that went extinct some odd 20 millennia ago, you're probably still fairly boned.

A Magpie-related question: What exactly are the names of the known Blood Magpies Ravens officers, as well as their Strike Cruisers?

It would also be wise to check with arcsquad so we are all synchronized. One that I'm not sure is on the lexicanum page is Captain Ulantus of the 9th company. I hated the Multilaser trilogy but he and Jonas Uralie were always entertaining.

I was just wondering because I wanted to know if it's canonically stated that they were on Kronus/Kaurava so I have a chance to use/avoid them. Otherwise I just won't include 'em.
