Rename: Does this trope need to be named after Macross?: Macross Missile Massacre

I figure this will get shot down pretty quickly, but I would rather put it up for discussion just to get it looked at before it does so after coming to it via Roboteching.

Does this trope really need to be named after Macross? Massacre also implies death/destruction, when the trope itself is just about launching a crapload of missiles.

What about Multiple Missile Attack?

I'm pretty sure that's quite a lot, but as above, I'm just putting it out there, even if it gets shot down.

Just ignore the Macross. Missile Massacre is more than enough context.

The name is fine it is quite indicative.

The "Macross" part isn't particularly distracting, and was probably kept to reinforce the Added Alliterative Appeal.

But Multi Missile Massacre works too; this is about More Dakka, But With Missiles!, because There Is No Kill Like Overkill.

Multi Missile Massacre is already a redirect. Massive Missile Barrage could work as a potential rename, or a redirect at the very least.

Given the horrendous backlog in TRS, it really seems unhelpful to bring an article with such a minor, trivial issue when you admit you know there's basically no chance of a change. Let's try to focus on important problems and let the little stuff go for now, ok, folks?

I realize you may not have been aware of how bad the backlog is (for some reason, the mods never seem to mention it in this forum), so I'm not criticizing you. Just saying. (You might want to re-think the philosophy espoused in your signature, though. But that's up to you.)

Oh, and of course, I agree that there's nothing wrong with the name. It contains all the important keywords it needs, so the extra word does no harm. Looks healthy, no evidence of misuse = no rename.

Agree with most of the other posters. The "Missile Massacre" is what you really need to know, and it's there. "Macross" is irrelevant.

I didn't realise there was a limit/backlog happening. I don't object to closing at all.

The limit is brand new. The backlog has been here for quite a while.
